40. Hi Keenan

During Adnan's marriage trial, Raihan was just as tense as Adnan. His eyes continued to flirt and fro hoping that Keenan would not suddenly appear in front of Kirana who had been sitting quietly beside him since not knowing if the cause of his heartache had been working here. 

“Abang? Brother why the hell do I seem so nervous?” ask Kirana.

“Anu Dek, just ya Brother want to go to the toilet bentar. But you're not going anywhere. You wait here,” said Raihan who was forced to lie.

Raihan came straight out of the room. He walked down the hallway to the toilet. As soon as he arrived, he headed straight to one of his sinks and washed his face non-relaxedly. The anxiety he was experiencing finally made Raihan unsettled so to help him temper his emotions he chose to wash his face with as much water as he could.

“Excuse me,” says one voice from back direction.

“Sorry, do you remember me? I met you at the airport,” he said.

“Oh yes I remember. Subterfuge. Right?”

“Ya I Galih,” said.

“Yes yes I remember. You work here?” ask Raihan base stale.

“Yes I work here. It's good to see you again. I did not expect to see you again here,” said Galih.

“It's nice to meet again too. But sorry I seem to have to resign immediately. Excuse me,” said Raihan.

He immediately resigned and chose to return to the wedding courtroom. Shortly after he returned, the trial was over. Adnan and Lucy's marriage filing accepted. Lucy asked permission to go to the toilet. Adnan just showed me where it was because he was chatting with the boss.

When he just turned the hallway, he passed someone. He was one of his best friends. A long lost friend. He is Keenan Raditya who he used to know as Kirana's lover.

“Eh Keenan? Oh yes you are Kee...”.

“Shtt don't shout..” said Keenan made Lucy instantly speechless.

    Keenan dragged the girl to a safer place. After making sure no one was looking, Keenan smiled and greeted Lucy.

“Oh my God are you now a cop? Very different lo now,” asked Lucy who does not believe.

“Boggy lo...,” says Lucy. He suddenly fell silent, “since when did you work here?” ask Lucy with a more serious face.

“Since I lost word. After that incident I enrolled in the academy and graduated a year later. After that I work here,” said Keenan.

“Kee, do you know Kirana?” ask Lucy.

“Know. I know she's married to Bang Raihan. So I'm asking you to please, don't ever tell Kirana that I'm here. I don't want him to remember me. Anyway I've been a jerk hurting and leaving him,” Keenan said.

“You really left him or you were forced to leave him?”

“I completely left it. I don't want to be with him. I'm sorry Cy, I'm a jerk, but if I show up in front of Kirana now she'll get hurt again. I avoided her just so she could be happy with her husband. I hope you understand,” said Keenan.

“You...., what really happened?” mumbling Lucy.

Lucy returned to the courtroom with an almost empty look. Lucy daydreams because her mind is too focused to digest what she just faced. He met Keenan who had been missing all this time, and he said he left Kirana on purpose? Lucy was suspicious of her statement. 

“Ay, you why?” ask Adnan.

“Anu Bang, just now I..,” Lucy stopped because she saw Kirana laughing with Raihan.

Adnan understood the meaning of Lucy's view on his sister. Adnan then whispered, “you met Keenan?” Of course Lucy was shocked. Yes, he just realized Adnan and Keenan work in the same place. Why did her future husband never tell her? Why is Adnan always silent and pretending not to know?

“Abang know?”

“Shtt, not here yes. Later Abang tell me, but later,” said Adnan understood by Lucy.

Both Lucy's parents have returned home, as have the Adnan family. Now only Adnan and Lucy are still waiting for something. After everyone went home and continued their respective activities, Lucy asked Adnan for permission to once again meet Keenan. Unfortunately, the man is too good to hide. When searched in his room there were only Galih and Aksara. They said Keenan was out and I don't know when he's coming back.

“Abang..., why would you shut up if you knew Keenan was here?” ask Lucy.
