Aretta & Secrets

Aretta & Secrets
New Routine

I was completely asleep until the next morning. When I woke up, I found my body covered in an extra blanket. I glanced at the room because the light was shining so brightly. When I turned to the alarm clock on the nightstand, I sighed the week. At 11:30 which means I've missed half a day of school.

Instead of waking up, I slipped myself deep into the blanket. I was planning to go back to sleep. I moved in an indeterminate direction to find a comfortable position and found a crumpled note near my ear. I pulled the paper and read it.

Sleep very well.

It's Gio's handwriting. After putting the paper into the nightstand, I tried to close my eyes and go to sleep. But it can't be. I had slept for 12 more hours plus Gio had also prepared breakfast and medicine on my study table which made me even more lazy to move. I want to do it especially when everything is ready.

Finished dumbly to collect lives, I immediately moved awake. I no longer feel pain today. It seemed that my scar was slowly getting better and when I turned to the glass, all the bruises left behind had already slowly faded away.

That day I spent the day lazing around the apartment. After answering a message from Aidan and two of my friends, I decided to make a snack. Then study and when a little tired, I also plan the must-have items in the store.

I know the three of them must have had a lot of discussions about this and I also believe in their choices, but I also want to contribute ideas even though they are not necessarily accepted.

I looked again at the papers stored on the pantry counter. It contains a notice if the handyman will be databg on Thursday to knock down some of the dividing walls that are downstairs, then coat it and paint the room as well. The activity will end on Tuesday. Reading this paper alone made me even more excited because the dream of Oma Dewi would come true and come true. So I was determined to witness all the process.

I decided to send a message to Oma Dewi after asking her phone number to Aidan. Because it was too exicted I became impatient and decided to call Oma Dewi.

Deringan sounded from the end there and still waited for a while until finally Oma replied with a quivering voice.

"Hallo?" the answer. I almost answered in a loud voice and fortunately I immediately put up with it because we were on the phone. Of course in this way Oma can hear my voice even though I speak in a slow tone.

"Oma Hallo. It's Aretta! How's oma doing?" the voice of Oma Dewi sounded happy when she knew I was calling. He also told me about his condition which was perfectly fine. It's just that now he feels very bored because he can't do anything after being strictly forbidden by Aidan. Even her only granddaughter hired a nurse to help care for Oma.

We told a lot of stories. Oma even asked sola progress shop and I answered all progress smoothly. The news I'm telling you makes Oma even more excited. In addition to the shop, he also asked about sekolagkh and my situation.

"Aidan stopped by the house a lot," didn't he, "lately he's been talking about you." I knew Oma was just teasing me and luring me to tell stories, but unfortunately there was nothing I could talk about about our relationship. I even emphasized to Oma if our relationship was only limited to teachers and students. Although we are on good terms, that doesn't guarantee anything.

"Oma who said if my relationship with Mr. Aidan like that. I'm Mr. Aidan's student, Oma." I chuckled softly because I didn't think through her guess. Aidan and I were just good friends and we did kiss, but when we talked about love? That's not possible.

The conversation was over and we both decided on a phone call because Oma had to check up. I prayed for his health before actually deciding on a call.

The atmosphere was back quiet once the call was cut off. All that was heard was the sound of vehicles crossing the streets down there. Not wanting to feel lonely, I immediately stepped towards the speakers and turned on the music. This time there will be nothing against me and also I want to be a little nostalgic about the past. In the past, Mama and Papa would loud music to make the window glass vibrate. It was a nice gasket moment because at that time we would all sing together until our voices were hoarse and exhausted.

I laid my body on the leather sofa that I managed to get at a sloping price while singing the lyrics of the song in the original tone. Listening to music is not that fun either. I turned my head again and looked at the room I had not researched before. We now have a digital TV that can even watch Netflix. I'm not surprised because Gio and Ana are lovers who like watching shows together at home. I guess they both prefer the date outside because there are many options they can visit. However, the two men turned out to be very mature-minded. Instead of going out they prefer to just be at home and the money they have they use to do business.

I am envious and want to have a partner like that.

I got off the couch to drink. My eyes were still thirsty with the view in my own home. I found a sprawling novel that I believe belongs to Ana. Gio could not possibly read romance novels. What interested me to read was, Aidan's name was written there.

I immediately started reading and got swept up in her story. I read it page by page and it's getting more and more addictive. The story revolves around the complicated relationship experienced by Aidan and Runi, the main character. I got so carried away with the forbidden romance between the two that I didn't hear if pinth was open. Only when the door slammed shut tight did I realize that I was hiding the book and jumped on the spot. I don't want Gio to know his sister's been reading adult books.

"Hallo everybody!" Gio shouted because of the sound of music and he rushed over to me. The man used a sports bag attached to the shoulder with his hands containing various kinds of plastic grocery. She struggled through the small gap between the sofa and the table to follow her seat.

"What?" ask me quietly when I see him dropping all his luggage onto the floor.

"Lo's out shopping?" ask again. Gio rolled his eyes and ignored me. He suddenly sat firmly in place and put on a serious face.

"Lo know, tomorrow's your birthday?" He asked with a serious face. I laughed because I thought he was wrong. But when I pulled the phone out of my pocket and checked the date, I fell silent. July 10th, which means tomorrow is my birthday.

"Gue's birthday tomorrow," I muttered like a fool and intended to leave Gio along with his shopping.

"Where are you going? Sit down!" his orders and I obeyed because he said it in a firm voice.

"You know what your birthday is tomorrow?" he asked tiredly. I laughed, thinking he must be wrong. But when I pulled my phone out of my pocket and checked the date, it was written July 24, which means tomorrow is my birthday. "Well, I think you're right." I muttered and stood up, intending to leave Alex alone with her groceries, "Where are you going?" She asked. "Sit back." I did as she was told by her firm voice.
