Aretta & Secrets

Aretta & Secrets
New Friends

Aidan helped me turn on the second cash register. Maybe for this reason the character so has two computers. Customers who come more than I think and it shows if this figure does have quality. I started serving customers.

For 2 hours, Aidan and I struggled with computers and customers. Fortunately the queue began to decrease, all that was left was the visitor who was choosing a book. Some whispered to each other and some asked each other a review of the book they wanted to buy.

I tried to stand up straight, but it was getting sicker. So what I did was stand with my body leaning slightly toward the computer. It looks weird indeed. Plus my appearance today is not too much for me. I scratched my hair and used flat shoes so I wouldn't have to bend over to tie my shoelaces. Best choice I can make today.

I went back to struggling with the customer until 1 hour later before Aidan called me and asked me to take a break first because the store was starting to be quiet. We are unlikely to rest together because there are still some visitors who are choosing books. I quickly got out of the store and started staring around for lunch that didn't take long to order. I saw a pretty quiet Daia cafe from outside. I decided to step there by strolling across the sidewalk.

I don't know why I'm such a hard old woman to walk. Should I invest in having a cane to support me when I experience a terrible event like this?

I went in and found a seat in front of the empty counter. I chose to sit there instead of sitting on a short sofa which would press my ribs even more. To be honest I'm not sure if I can swallow food in my current condition. So when the clerk I knew that she was one of the students at my school came. I quickly decided to order a drink.

He served my order with an extra straw I didn't ask for. I took a slow sip and while remaining half the servant came closer.

"Hello. I often see you at school. Lo new kid right here?" tanyakanya. At first he seemed hesitant to approach me but it seemed he already had the courage to start opening the conversation first.know lest curiosity have a bigger so he emboldened himself. The point is he's great not like me.

"Yes. I'm Aretta," I replied with a big smile.

"Gue already knew your name from the rumors that were spread in the school. My name is Rafania. You can call me Rafa."

I nodded slowly and smiled fakely. Speaking of rumors, I was not interested in listening but unfortunately curiosity dominated me more.

"What are the rumors about me?" I was a little surprised. I haven't been in school for 1 month and now I've heard rumors about me. Although not all rumors are bad, only good rumors are very few. It almost never existed. Rumors about what now? Is it about me not having Papa? Or because I seem arrogant?

Rafa who was wiping the stove table started to stop his movement. He looked at me who still looked engrossed in my cereal.

I chuckled amusedly, not expecting if the rumors that were spread would be like this. This story is very different 180 degrees with my version of the story. I know enough why this rumor got spread. Maybe it's because I moved in right in the middle of the year. It's rare to find a case like me moving in crucial times and it seems that's not the only rumor that's spread because Rafa still continues to explain anything he's ever heard.

"There are also rumors that say that you are actually a running athlete. Lo also smeared because of the shape of your face that is not like teenagers in general. Too great for a teenager. There's also about you being bullied and the worst is about you ever trying to commit suicide."

I actually laughed out loud hearing all sorts of strange rumors mentioned by Rafa. Where did they get such a ridiculous story. A suicide? What was that possible when my family always asked me to stay alive so they could vent their anger on me.

"Why is the story on weird anyway. Get an idea of where they got to make interesting stories like that," I said.

Rafa chuckled.

"Gue also does not believe because you do not look at the work to do all the things they call. If you do not have plastic surgery, you will not work in a bookstore. Because the operation costs a lot," he said while continuing to wipe the table when he saw his boss passing by.

I agree with the sentence. I am not a person who has excess money especially to be willing to spend deeply just to do plastic surgery, after all, compared to surgery I prefer to save the money for my future stock.

After that, we told a lot of stories. Rafa accompanied me to spend my break time and somehow the story ended up being friends. It was then that I learned that we had geography and biology classes, at the same time. I'm happy for this information because at least my friend has increased by one. I also hope that Rafa is not one of the people who are fascinated with the Lord.

My break hour was over and I had to rush back to the store immediately. Rafa and I made an appointment for us to have lunch together on Monday. I got off the chair and said goodbye to Rafa. Before actually leaving the cafe I threw a smile last time at her. This time my smile was sincere not a fake smile like the one I gave her earlier.

"You're finally home! I'm starving!" that's the welcome I received from Aidan when I opened the door and went inside, "what did you eat?"

I didn't know if I should also report to her the lunch menu I had today, "Omelet the same cereal. If you don't believe me you can ask Rafa at Daia cafe."

I knew I shouldn't be like that but seeing him interrogate me made me a little annoyed. I said that to make her feel guilty and I didn't expect her to actually ask Rafa. Because if that happens, I'll be finished.
