Aretta & Secrets

Aretta & Secrets
Get Home

Given that I'm the only one who has to get out of this, it's pissing me off. "Aretta!" that call made me look up. In front of me was a BK teacher calling me.

What's the matter? Don't they know if I had a chance to kiss the Lord? Or Aidan?

"Yes, Mom. Me," I exclaimed. The woman looked at me for a moment before finally nodding.

"Done your belongings and went with me to the office" whispers of neighbors began to be heard and many pairs of eyes were also staring at me.

I'm really stuck in trouble.

That's what I was thinking when I walked out with the curious gaze that my classmate was casting, but all that was instantly gone when I saw Gio sitting in the garden holding his phone.

I remember if she and I had an appointment to meet with a real estate agent but I didn't think she'd pick me up in the second lesson. The look on my face instantly changed drastically and I displayed my big smile on her. At least I don't need to meet the Lord this day.

"Let's go" I said cheerfully to her and it made Gio look at me a little scared.

"Why lo?"

"It's okay. Let's go" I cried while pulling him out of the school district.

Gio drove his car slowly across the street. The place we were going to was not far from the school, it was just that the man was more comfortable carrying his car than having to be hot because he was already full of sunlight.

"Gue really excited to find a home," he said. He really did not hide his high-level antuasms.

"Gue too."

"But you have to remember, if it doesn't work out this one we can still find another one." I knew he only meant to calm me down if we didn't manage to get the deal.

"Quiet down. I'm 1000 percent sure the place will be ours. I have a strong feeling about it" I said giggling. We were very excited at first, but when it got close in the real estate office we became tense.

We went inside and were greeted with women in short span skirts and red heels.

"Giofano?" ask a man sitting behind the table. Gio nodded and the man allowed us to sit down

"We talked on the phone before. I'm Bayu" he said, hand-picking to introduce himself.

"I'm very happy that you chose our office and the place you choose is really a place that has good progress prospects. Building owners want to sell their buildings as quickly as possible and they receive offers as low as any cash," he explained typical of building sales marketing.

"If you may know, what price did they put before?"

The man named Bayu seemed to be rummaging through the files he had in his hand and he stopped long enough at a file while pointing at something.

"good. So if we offer yes to 900 is it acceptable?"

Bayu nodded and asked for a moment to contact the owner of the building. That chance I used to ask Gio.

"Where do we get that kind of money?"

He muttered as he shrugged his shoulders, "Papa."

It doesn't matter if we ask for that much. But we need and he himself offers.

"Continue lending? So you want to take the bank?" ask again.

Gio sighed softly before replying, "Papa said he would love us 2M to start everything. I mean, he lives in a big house and he's also a professor at a top university. So it was clear he had a lot of money. One more thing you should know, he works for us and all the money he can is set aside for us. Do you know what I mean? We need renovation, we also need a handle when we start a business. Instead of us asking to continue mending directly ask for a lot at the beginning. Itung-itung Papa as an investor," he explained. I just nodded and he also pulled out a check from his wallet and showed it to me.

I recognized the writing and when I saw the nominal listed suddenly my heart skipped a beat. I've never seen that much money in person, just imagine I'm pounding.

Mr. Bayu came back after calling he said if he had contacted the owner and they needed time to consult. Me and Gio nodded, we also had no other plans and in the end agreed to wait a little longer. The man left again, this time he would bring a drink after previously asking.

"Lo must know, I really have a commitment to improve the future of both of us. Maybe it's not going well and I hope you will face everything with me. You do not have good childhood memories, but I promise I will pay by giving you a decent life like before and if our efforts succeed, you have to go to college? I don't expect anything from you, I just want my sister to get what she's supposed to get." I'm nodding. Now he's the only family who thinks about me and I believe in him. Although now I know where Papa is, but he can not be included in the category of family who think of me, since we separated the sense of existence he has begun to fade.

Mr. Bayu came back with two drinks and coincided with his phone ringing. The man immediately lifted her up and the look on his face turned very cheerful.

"Congratulations, you've succeeded."

Aidan POV's

Aretta, Aretta, Aretta, and Aretta.

The name kept ringing in my mind and I did not expect that its influence would become this extraordinary. I know it's wrong especially my current position is a teacher and he's a student. It's hard to accept if I let my feelings grow. It's just that in reality I can't help myself. That Aretta has a positive energy that always manages to keep me excited. It made me feel alive and I seemed to have become so dependent because I couldn't if I hadn't seen it.

I wish I could always be by her side. It may sound silly, but that's what I'm feeling right now. He was the one who managed to make me careless but he didn't know about it.

And now I'm sorry for destroying the friendship that's been established. At first my intention was to know what happened to him, never to get close to him, but fate said something else.

And I became greedy for his presence.

Having already decided to no longer get involved any further, I stayed away from him and it hurt both of us.
