The one who called me earlier was Aidan. I immediately focused on him and waited for what he would say.
"Why?" aska I want to know.
"I've found a used furniture store that sells items that you can use in your new residence. The price is skewed with good quality but you have to be quick to go there to choose because the goods are sold out quickly." He explained about it. I was curious, when last night we both stayed up late to find a store but still did not find a suitable one, then did he use his teaching time to find out about it? I wanted to ask but not delicious.
After all he has tried his best and I just have to accept his kindness.
Suddenly Aidan stepped forward, he placed both his hands on my arms.
"Aretta," he called her seriously. He looked me in the eye, "what... Ye... Want to..." I'm still waiting for him to continue his sentence. Somehow his broken sentence made me even more hope for something impossible.
What the hell was I expecting? Wouldn't such a thing even make our situation awkward. He and I just made up.
"Do you want to go to the store?" continued. I laugh. He also laughed. We laugh at silly things with different contexts.
"Why the hell he said that he used to cut everything," I growled while punching his arm, "make people misunderstand me," I demanded to frown in pretence.
"Your face was so funny it was so tense."
I snorted while taking my eyes off because I didn't want her to see me blush. I nodded his invitation and we briefly continued our chatter before finally deciding to separate to continue our respective activities.
School ends. Teaching and learning activities are also over. I stepped out and found Aidan's car parked across the street from the school. Without waiting for long I came closer.
Arriving there the shop seemed closed and we both had to work together to find the key because everything was closed and the lights were also turned off. As soon as we entered, I found a note in the counter. It says if Oma Dewi closes first because the condition is not too good.
Aidan is worried about Omanya's situation and he asks permission to call before he helps open the store. After 15 minutes passed along with me who was drifting he came back. Aidan tells her that Omanya is just tired and that she needs rest to get better.
After knowing the state of Omanya, Aidan immediately asked me to open a shop. He also immediately pulled out his laptop and searched the website he was talking about earlier. An online shop that sells furniture that I would otherwise need. He offered a laptop screen that showed pictures of the sofa. Although used but still looks like new.
"It's a set?"
"Yes. A set of 4.5 million sofas is the same."
"good. I also like the model," I said, "can you please order me?" Aidan nodded and he immediately made an order as per my request. It did not take long and we immediately got an answer if the goods will be shipped over the weekend.
"The sofa is finished. You still need what's more, we can find all of you here" Aidan bargained.
I nodded and during the opening of the store we both not only focused on the customer, we also occasionally stole time to look for the furniture I wanted.
I asked Aidan for approval to make an announcement about the temporary closure of the store because we had to start renovations immediately. At first he refused, rather he was worried but when all afternoon came only a visitor, in the end Aidan agreed and he thought it was the right decision. In the end he stuck up a notification after a long thought.
"Then we clean up now." He said so as he stepped away to look for the cardboard box.
"Why now? Really quick?" my many.
For a moment there was silence. He did not immediately reply and sighed first before replying, "I have to quickly start so that Oma can see the effort she aspires to wake up before Oma's condition gets worse," he said. It was indeed the dream of Oma Dewi who wanted to make a library cafe and we were just people who wanted to realize his dream. And I also agree with the sentence Aidan because after all this temoat was indeed created for Oma Dewi, if the situation is not good he will be difficult to see the establishment of this store.
I began to move along to clean up the books that are still neatly arranged on the shelf. All we do quickly because this is a form of commitment if we really want to change the store according to Oma's wishes.
I went up and decided to stop by the building shop . We decided to take a walk because the store was only 10 minutes away from the bookstore. And again we also have to hurry because this store will close before 6 pm.
We arrived and chose. After struggling for a long time and considering also the colors that match, finally Aidan decided to choose the white color ivory as the base color because after my residence so, so, we can re-color the store according to what we want. And this time we bought 6 liters of white paint. When carrying the item I immediately imagined anything that I would use to color my own room.
After that day, Aidan and I spent a lot of time together. Even our meetings are arguably very routine this week. We literally scoured anything we could do like paint and clean the shop. Gio also helped even the man also gave advice that we put books on the top floor so as not to interfere with activities on the lower floor.
We were all very busy with the relocation and renovation. Even me and Gio had also brought some of our things from home without being caught by Mama. Gio and I were very optimistic about the move this time and he decided to bring all of our stuff with us during the school holidays. I only agreed because the advice wasn't bad either.
We spent 2 whole days painting the whole room. The dark brown and green colors that previously filled the walls have disappeared completely and now have been replaced with ivory white colors that refresh the eyes. The color also makes the whole room look 10 times bigger.
We started painting from 07.00am to 10.00pm, because it took us up to two days to do it by coating it twice.
"The smell makes the head hurt." Aidan complained while applying paint to the wall. He had already said his complaints so many times that I was full myself. I left him to go somewhere else and continued my painting carefully.
I dipped my brush into a paint bucket and painted a straight, thick white line on the back of the board that was planned to be made as a sweetener of the room. I also painted a little of the t-shirt Aidan was using and then gawked as if nothing had happened.
I desperately tried to keep my facial expression flat, although I honestly wanted to laugh out loud.
"Don't complain a lot" I said as I continued to paint. I glanced at him and he looked at me with a look of disbelief.
"I didn't think you could. Look at it, soon you'll surely be the same as the one I'm feeling." Soon she realized that I was cheating on her.
He dropped his rollers onto the floor that was already covered in a wide plastic sheet and picked up a smaller brush. I retreated to the corner of the room, being careful not to touch the wall.
"Please. No!"I screamed, but it was too late.
Aidan had already dipped his lever into a bucket of paint and brought it before my face to threaten me.
"If you're sorry I won't bakae" he said, trying to bargain. Still with the brush that is in front of me, even now it is getting closer to my face.
"No way!" I screamed and tried to run away from him. I lowered my head to dodge but lost quickly with his movements.
A pair of strong hands wrapped around my waist and pulled me closer towards him. Aidan took the brush and now rubbed it along my legs in shorts. I screamed at the cold sensation that hit me and tried to escape but was met with another attack from Aidan.
"Stop!" I shouted, "already. Please!" I said as I continued to plead as she swept the paint over my forehead again. After being perfectly drawn he immediately let go of me and laughed out loud.
"You should see how you look now." He spoke while trying to hold back the laughter. Seeing his expression, I laughed. Especially when imagining how my shape has been exposed to paint.
"Definitely messy. It doesn't feel good without war."
"You're happy right," he said as he continued to strike me with paint.
I think that day was my version of the best paint war, until Gio came in and shouted at us who were filled with paint from head to toe. The man was speechles.
It all happened so fast that the time we had to move was coming.
