"You managed to survive until now. You like to run, right?" my many. I decided not to talk about what happened just now. Waiting for him to tell me is the best option in my opinion.
"Usually use a treadmill because of a busy schedule. But actually I'd rather run outdoors because the air's fresher." Mr. Aidan replied with intermittent breathing.
I nodded in understanding and bravely took his earphones and hooked them in my own ear. I wonder what kind of music this man is listening to. The familiar sounds of music and guitar run through my ears.
"What music is this? Familiar, but I don't know exactly" I asked him.
"The Luminers. The songs are good, I often hear their music if they are free."
I recorded the name he mentioned. If there's a chance I'll have to find out more about them and about the music. I don't seem to know much about music yet and I'll make sure they'll be on the list of tracks I need to hear, "what song are you listening to?" He asked back while pulling my earphones.
"Just John Mayer. It's a good song, besides I can't search often about music so I just hear what I think is good."
I was like that. My phone that doesn't have an internet facility forced me to just hear the songs coming out of the YouTube homepage. Because the fees in the cafe are very charging, so I'm not so picky.
"Why would I recommend good music? I copied it to your memory card."
"Can!" my answer was quick and enthusiastic. He chuckles softly. I now feel that we have crossed the line between teacher and student. We are currently in the friendship stage.
Mr. Aidan started swinging the swing he was riding. The longer the swing gets faster and that makes it fly higher and higher. I started swinging my swing. A cold wind hit my skin and flew my horse-shrunked hair
"Main swing kayak gini, make me feel free," he shouted. His voice slightly disappeared due to the gust of wind that brought him, but I could still hear a few words he said. Mr. Aidan looks free and really likes his activities this time.
"Later to stop by the house first means yes!," he said after finishing the game.
I looked at him for a moment. He seemed to know what I was thinking and then immediately spoke.
"My house is just a block from your house. We can copy all the way home and I'll take you back to your house."
I do trust this guy, but if I have to go to his house... Should it? If it was Lord God I would have definitely refused right then and there. But this is Mr. Aidan.
"Not to worry. I wouldn't say anything about you if that's what you're afraid of" he said. He seemed to be reading my doubts.
I finally nodded slowly and followed him. He led the way to his home.
We arrived at a small house with a large courtyard. The house is blue and white which is even more cute, with a white gate that protects the building.
"Your house is funny."
I laughed, "Yes if there were no flowers like elephant grass growing neatly there."
Mr. Aidan just rolled his eyeballs while taking the key out of his pants pocket. He began to bend down and unlock the gate. Then he allowed me to come in.
I went in and saw him command me to follow him to the front porch of the house. We both opened our shoes before entering the house.
I didn't expect him to be that friendly, because what happened next was, he gave me a free house tour. Starting from the kitchen, the dining room, the living room, the first bedroom, and the second bedroom that I assume it is his because in the entire room there is an aroma that is still left behind.
I looked around the room. It looks neat and simple which shows if he really does everything himself. Then he led me to his study at the last door. I was amazed when I entered because I found a lot of CDs and black plates here.
This room contains a table with a computer and chairs, then a long sofa facing a CD rack with medium-sized speakers there. And don't forget a bookcase behind the desk.
Mr. Aidan walked towards a shelf and it was like turning something on. After that he moved towards the computer he had turned on.
"I hear songs more often through YouTube or Spotify" he said.
I'm nodding. The internet is everywhere now. I'm the only one using old-fashioned cell phones and MP3s. I don't even have social media like my other friends. That's why I'm often mocked and bullied.
For some people it may be necessary, but for me personally social media I do not need. I live in a place that doesn't give me the freedom to use a computer because it doesn't exist at home. Gio has a laptop and that too I dare not borrow. I lived in fear and did not dare to act so that I could still live for the next day.
Mr. Aidan smiled gently and began to move my memory card to fill in new music. He let me sit down and I responded with a twitch on my forehead. I don't get it.
The man still looked at me gently and pulled me to sit on the chair. He taught me to copy all the songs I had to hear. He even offered to help me find the song and add it to my memory card.
"Aren't you thirsty?" he asked, after we finished struggling with file copying.
I nodded in response and he immediately stepped out of the room. I started tuning in to one of the music and listening. Mr. Aidan's taste sounds good for song selection, but he says he prefers indie or rock music.
I began to settle myself in his chair and idly stared at the room. There's a guitar behind the door. I stepped over there and pulled him off the spot. I don't know if Mr. Aidan plays guitar
I started strumming the guitar following the music and also started singing.
"Singing is the same your guitar is good" Mr. Aidan's voice was heard and he had already appeared with a glass of water.
I accepted it while saying thank you. He was the first man to treat me well other than Rendi.
Why is my heart suddenly beating?
