Suddenly Nobles

Suddenly Nobles
The Bright Point of Its Existence

Millions of dust particles were blown free once Zachary's horse-ridden boots ran briskly through the shortcut followed by some of the best warriors who were also behind him. The branches of the tree that covered the road were no match for the man as he was overcome with anger.

After some quiet thinking, Zachary suspects that Eve escaped through the northern port. Given the distance to other ports will take a lot of time, so Zachary tried his luck by looking for the whereabouts of his daughter in a port whose ships were scheduled to go out of Sasania this afternoon, with a payload capacity of about one hundred to five hundred people in it.

"Through here, Your Grace."

They again spurred the speed of the horse as high as possible splitting the untamed grass. If it can be used as a shortcut, the land here should be built a new road to facilitate transportation, Zachary thought briefly.

He'll take care of it later. Later. After Eve's wedding is over.

Shortly after penetrating the forest, they finally arrived at the crowded port, where several large ships seemed to drop off the passengers and their luggage. The ship for the common people was on the right side, looking small and appalling. While the ship used by the nobles is parked on the left side of the waterfront. From the outside, it looks elegant with a size even exceeding four ordinary ships.

Zachary got off his horse and handed over his harness to one of his men who was ordered to stand guard. His eyes stared at a large tall man who was arranging the usual cargo of ships with a loud voice. As soon as Zachary told his men to approach the big tall man, it was seen that the man was frowning in annoyance.

"Who are you, goddamn it."

"Soldier Duke of Lumiere," replied Zachary who was a little arrogant.

"Duke?" His eyes turned to look at someone who was behind his interlocutor. There was a man with a firm gurat on his face who was no longer young was looking around the harbor with a flat look. He was wearing nice and expensive clothes, surely that was the duke in question.

"We don't want to deal with your people." The man tasked with managing the ship's cargo sighed. "After all, why would a supreme noble like the duke want to come here. No, this is not the place. The ship of the nobles is over there." He pointed at the large ship on the left side.

"We're looking for someone."

"I don't care."

"Maybe he's on this ship."

"It's none of my business."

"Duke will give you a gift if he's really here. Please let us check inside."

"Then if there is none, how. Will your master cut off my head?" tanyanya brave. "Here you go, the ship will be leaving soon, so don't waste time. The load is also full, do not trouble me by forcing my way in for your personal interests. This ship is also quite loaded and could have sunk if you still insist inside. The stakes are the lives of those who don't know anything, understand?"

The duke's men hissed, "you...."

Meanwhile, Zachary was seen watching the ships that had sailed to the middle of the sea, seeming indifferent to the debate that occurred between the ship and his men. Several noble ships and merchant ships seemed to have left the port somewhere.

The man stepped away first leaving his men behind. He saw another officer who looked unemployed. His body was thin and stooped, looking drowsy while fanning himself using his buttered duty hat while sitting leaning against a wooden bench that —seems— is no longer sturdy.

Zachary coded his other men to extract information from the man. This time Zachary inserted two gold coins in the hands of his men to give to the man.

"Excuse me, sir."

The officer nodded. Moreover, the increasingly stinging sunlight slightly blurred his gaze.

"Well, can I help you?"

"I am a member of the Duke of Lumiere. We came here to ask you something." The duke's men greeted the officer and gave the two gold coins in the middle of their handshake.

"Oh, yeah, yeah. What's up?" The officer was ready to stand straight while glancing left and right.

"Gosh, what dream was I last night" he muttered as he stared at Zachary without a blink.

The duke's men were feeling a little annoyed. He then cleared his throat, but the gaze of the ship's officer still leads to Zachary who does not know about the admiration of his fans.

"Master!"

"Ah, sorry. I ignored you, yes. Sorry, sorry, because this is the first time I saw the duke directly." he said still in his amazement. "Truly the perfect guy, yeah. So envious."

"You must have known the purpose for which we came here, right." The duke's men had chosen to heed the ship's attendant's earlier remark. Now glimpsed by the duke, the man had already gone towards the noble ship that he often boarded. Of course, His Grace couldn't possibly want to heat up just for a little bit of information, perhaps.

"Is there anything suspicious? According to our calculations, Her Ladyship has at least entered one of the ships here."

"Honestly, no one should be suspected. Merchants went in and out of ships, and there were also commoners, or nobles. Everything seemed ordinary, and I couldn't possibly catch someone without clear evidence. Maybe Her Ladyship went the other way, maybe?"

"We believe Her Ladyship passed through this harbor," the duke's clamor as his gaze swept around them.

Suddenly the duke's men remembered something. But he also wasn't sure if that person was involved or not.

"I just remembered, other than Her Ladyship, there was still one more person to look for. He's a man, his hair a shoulder-blonde with clear blue eyes. Is there anyone like that today?"

"Whole blond hair and clear blue eyes? Let me remember...." The shipkeeper tapped his forehead which frowned faintly. That's....

"Right, I saw it!"

"Where?!"

"He's a milk merchant with one more man, man. I knew her hair was long because she was twisting it and covering it with a big hat. It was fortunate that his physical features were quite different from others so it was quite easy to remember them." The ship's guards pointed to the silhouette of a merchant ship that had already sailed far in the middle of the sea. "They've been gone a long time and are now in the middle of the ocean. No matter how fast you are, you still can't catch up to them. You're late."

Not wrong anymore. That must be Lord Beckett. Everyone already knew that the Duke of Lumiere's third son loved their youngest brother dearly. In a way, he must have helped Eve escape as well.

"I have to report this to His Grace immediately" he murmured in deep thought.

"Please tell us the route they're going."
