I don't feel like time keeps rolling. Within a month, the palace was completely transformed with a touch of classy elegance. Not there, the path that is usually only passed by the people is also decorated with colorful trinkets.
With all that euphoria, it was as if everyone had forgotten the previous crown prince. Prince Felix went somewhere. According to the former crown princess, Prince Felix had wanted to step down from his post. However, the request was never approved by the king, which caused him to suffer from mental stress and even vent his illness to his eldest son.
For his one son, the king had even created a special army to search for him.
This afternoon, Eve was just messing around in her room. There was nothing he could do, other than read books that some spoke in foreign languages. For manners lessons and so on, the duke comforted Eve until the inauguration was over.
Eve sighed. Back putting the beauty book on the table, she lay on a long sofa with both legs raised leaning against the wall.
Bored!
"My lady.." muttered Eve's servant who was surprised at her employer's unique behavior.
"Don't mind me, let's just say I'm a flower vase so you're alone here." Eve closed her eyes.
Because the waiter was still fairly new and he also did not dare to argue, even in the end just nodded stiffly and re-wiped the floor and furniture in the room. Although his actions far violate ethics, he tried to close his eyes on what has become Eve's current activities.
A knock on the door interrupted his strange activity. Eve hurriedly got up while putting her shoes back on before running forward.
"Your Highness!" Eve's blue bead widened as soon as it knew who was behind her bedroom door.
"Can we talk for a second?" Pinta Lucas with a faint smile. "It's about your inauguration."
"It's actually your show, Prince. Not my show."He laughed a little. "Ah, yes. Surely you are busy now but trying to spend time here. Sorry for taking your time. What if we just talk in the library?"
Eve wants to turn around, telling her servant that she can rest faster. Before Eve makes it in, Lucas catches her wrist.
Eve jerks. Their gazes collided with each other, for a few seconds.
"Prince...."
"Can you act like you used to?" lucas whispered right next to him. "It's just the two of us. Fool with a respectful call, just call my name."
Damn, Lucas' cold hand grip was like delivering a frozen taste into his body. Eve nodded slowly. "Pardon, Luke. I'm just trying to act like a noble in general. I didn't know it made you uncomfortable."
"I don't blame you, but can you give me a little special attitude?" Lucas finally relinquished his grip on Eve's wrist. A little bit heart-pounding. "With that rigid attitude, it somehow made me think like we were never close. Though you yourself know ... how I feel."
Lucas threw his face away.
And Eve gawked.
"What feeling?"
"Other times learn more sensitive." Lucas exhaled an annoyed breath. He then turned around leaving Eve who was still standing in front of the door.
"Wait for what else? Aren't we going to the library?"
"really. Wait for me!" Eve runs after Lucas, forgetting her servant. Coincidentally on that day Lucas was in a good mood to prank someone. He smiled mysteriously. So, as the distance and Eve get closer, Lucas accidentally stops suddenly which eventually causes Eve to kiss his back perfectly.
"Huh, why did it stop?" eve protested while rubbing her forehead, upset.
Lucas raised his index and middle fingers to form a symbol of peace in the air. "intentionally. Your nose is small." Lucas pointed at Eve's face that was smaller than his. "It's better to just beat it, let it get smaller."
"Oi, I never forgive you, Lucas." Eve dusted.
Lucas nodded quickly. "I'm glad you didn't forgive me."
"Basic is not sane!"
Eve immediately lunges at Lucas, just as she often does to her three nosy siblings minus Declan. As if he was rubbing Lucas' cheeks, the girl did not realize that they had reached the library door. And Declan who opened the door can only shake resignedly due to the actions of his sister.
"Please forgive this fierce lady, prince." Declan attempts to remove Eve from Lucas but seems to be fruitless.
"Let her be like this." Instead of being angry, Lucas laughed loosely for a moment after noticing Eve's angry face trying to subvert her. "Truly like a child."
"Ekhem!" Declan stared intently at his younger brother.
Unfortunately it has no effect.
Declan had to take action. Lifting Eve's hands together and pulling her like a wheelbarrow, she smiled at Lucas. "Let's go in, Prince."
"Let go, let me teach a lesson to the man who wants to drown my nose!" eve's strangulation didn't take it as soon as Declan calmly forced her to sit on a sofa.
"Rather than making a fuss, you better read these books." Ethan put down a few piles of thick, old-enveloped books. "We want to discuss something, just for a moment." Ethan glanced at Lucas who had just walked over with a red-coated book in his hand. "The prince doesn't mind, does he, the two of you here with Eve?"
Lucas throws a faint smile. "No problem."
"Ec ... What does it mean to stay away from their version of it?"
At first Lucas hoped for a lot when the Eve brothers indirectly gave himself the opportunity to talk alone with his girl. But after learning the meaning of Ethan's version of the game, Lucas' expression darkened. The three men just sat not far from them.
So what exactly is permission for?
Geez, Lucas's nosediving. The sons of the Duke of Lumiere were nothing normal. Even so, he still loved one of them. To ease the sudden confusion, Lucas tried to refocus on his reading. Maybe talking to Eve with four eyes can be done later at a more appropriate time.
"Luke."
"Hm?"
"Say I'm getting married, huh?"
Lucas lifted his head from the book he was reading. An irritated glint was vaguely imprinted on both of his gray eyeballs, "Yes."
I'll make sure you fail to marry Prince Brodsway, Eve. You must take responsibility and marry only one of me!
"Say as a princess, I must have many offspring," continued Eve. And in the end he asked about something that should not be discussed between men and women.
"Then how can I get a baby?"
Hearing that, Lucas glared. The book he held reflexively fell on the table resulting in a thud. No, it wasn't the book that scared Lucas. But the gazes of the three men who were now directing their sharp glances were like three hungry tigers faced by a helpless fat deer.
The thing is, Eve threw her death question in a voice loud enough that the three of her handlers could hear her words clearly!
"What have you taught our Eve? You son of a bitch, don't you dare ruin his innocence!" the third jolt was angry.
"I haven't answered the question." Lucas replied with a flat expression, feeling accused. "You want me to answer the truth now, or how?!"
"Don't!" squealing all in unison. Declan who usually calms down in the end panicked.
Declan cleared his throat, "it ... Eve was too young to know."
"Oh, so getting a baby can only be done by parents, right?" Eve asked after previously being overwhelmed by confusion for witnessing how her brothers were bullying the prince who would soon become the crown prince.
Is that how bad it is?
"True, the ritual is quite difficult and must be routinely done."
"Prince!" Sent them pissed.
"What?"
"The "ritual? Does it require blood like a ritual in general, what are the consequences if the ritual fails?" Eve is increasingly curious, while her three brothers are already wary of Lucas' next answer.
"The consequence if it fails, the ritual must be repeated again."
"Enough!" Beckett drew Eve's hand while giving Prince Lucas a sharp look. "Eve and I are busy. Excuse me!"
"Eh, but the explanation is incomplete and I don't understand it yet, Beckett. Beckett!"
Vaguely Eve's voice adorned the castle's hallway.
"Ah, just this time I panicked because of Lady Luvena's curiosity." Declan returns to formal talks, forgetting his swearing at Lucas who just dared to call him a bastard. Okay, forget.
"So, what do you want to talk about, Prince?"
Lucas sat back on a white sofa. His right leg is raised, propped up over the left leg. Show me how he can be so powerful here.
"I want to make Lady Luvena the crown princess."
Silent. Neither Declan nor Ethan believed what they had just heard.
"Sorry, Prince. Who ... is the crown princess?" ask Ethan back. Maybe he heard it wrong before.
"Lady Luvena," Lucas replied steadily. "I'm gonna move ahead of that goddamn Prince Julius. I hope you can support my decision and cooperate."
