Suddenly Nobles
Invitation from the Palace

"Don't do that again, Eve. The Duke of Lumiere never messed with his words."

After Zachary left, Beckett spoke. The one Eve scolded, but somehow Beckett felt much more scared. She was afraid that Eve was actually sentenced for her bravery just now.

"No problem. If he wants to punish me, yes, no problem. I intentionally made him angry. It was fun to see that emotion too. Next time you're gonna have to make him mad." Eve laughed then hit Beckett on the shoulder with a familiar gesture.

"There are still many other fun things besides making His Grace angry." Beckett grunting. "And I should have told His Grace the truth. So that he doesn't misunderstand. I'm the one who made the train wheels couldn't move, not you."

"You want to be honest or not, it still has no effect. In her eyes, I was considered bad. Even worse, it doesn't make a difference." Eve pulled Beckett's arm. "It's less challenging here. What if we play outside the castle walls?"

"What?!" Beckett. "No permission, then no."

"Latin who? Come—"

"If you want to leave, at least you have to get permission from me."

Eve and Beckett both turned to the west. There, Declan approached them while riding his favorite horse.

"Why should I ask permission from you? Should have asked Declan for permission my brother!"

Beckett. In front of them this is, right, Declan. Is something wrong?

Declan codes Beckett to remain silent.

"Are you going to admit him as a brother?"

Eve nodded, "Of course. After all, what was my reason for rejecting her existence? If it's because of the past, I can't hate it just because of it. Neither me nor him have any difficulties, right?"

Declan. Her heart was completely relieved when Eve had already answered the thing that had been her burden for these few days. If it's like this, Declan wants Eve to quickly figure out which 'Declan' is the real one. He wanted to pour out his heart, share his grievances, and fears all along to his little sister.

"It's neat. Where are you going?"

Declan's daydream has stopped. Realizing Beckett's curious gaze, Declan replied, "Something's wrong. Please don't tell this to His Grace. Before noon, I'll be back."

After saying this, without saying goodbye, Declan jerked his horse's bridle until the four-legged animal speeded through the exit gate in the east. Back leaving Eve with Beckett with a puzzled look.

"What does Ethan want to do?"

"Ethan?" Beckett frowned even though he finally decided to follow the plot. "Where do I know. He just didn't say."

Eve sighed. "Already, Beckett. I don't have the taste to look outside the castle anymore."

"Tumben. So what are we gonna do?"

Eve looked at Beckett from top to bottom. "Are you not as busy as Ethan? I see he's the busiest of you."

Of course he is the busiest. He's what you're talking about, Declan, not Ethan. The Lumiere family's rightful heir. I really want Beckett to say that out loud. But what power, seeing Declan earlier forbid him to talk, made Becket think hundreds of times to reveal the truth.

"He's busy because he wants to be busy." Beckett. But not yet set foot, Eve pulled the collar first.

"Where are you going?"

"can't. I'm going with you!"

"Come? Yes, come on!" A second later, Beckett pulled Eve's body and held the girl on her wide back, causing Eve to be startled and reflexively hit Beckett on the head. Instead of being angry, Beckett actually returned with a laugh and ran like a child.

"Fuck you, Bucket. Put me down or your neck I'm giggling!"

A bucket? Sounds weird. Especially for Eve who said it, Beckett did not matter just getting happier. It is like a beloved calling. But if the one who called him like that was someone else, then just be prepared for the youngest son Lumiere's vengeance.

Meanwhile, behind the large window that led to the castle courtyard, a pair of blue eyes looked at the two brothers with difficult gazes. Behind him, Baron O'Neil was still waiting obediently.

"real right. He's already influenced my son Beckett."

Baron O'Neil nodded in agreement. "If this continues, no wonder Lord Beckett's kindness will be used for power, Your Grace. Look at that attitude. Which woman dares to be so insolent with Lumiere's three sons even more ... to you."

After a few moments of conversation about their dislike of Eve, Frederick the maid came with a letter placed on a padded pillow covered in red cloth. After knocking on the door, Zachary stopped his conversation with Baron O'Neil, and invited him in.

"Your Grace, good to see you back."

"Say."

"The palace sent you a letter." Frederick handed over the letter he had brought with him with great caution.

"Not an official letter?" muttered Zachary after seeing how the gold-plated letter was handed over to him without being accompanied by bodyguards. As soon as he managed to grab the letter and open the top, a citrus scent wafted through the air.

Zachary read it seriously. His forehead shriveled, but a few moments later, he laughed in satisfaction.

"What's up, Your Grace?" Frederick could not help but feel his curiosity after seeing Zachary's expression just now.

"Your Majesty the King wants me to take Margaret's daughter to the palace." Zachary shook his head slowly, feeling both sliced and happy. Forgetting the two people he had been watching, the man in a neat suit sat back on his great chair. "This is His Majesty's own order. If the village boy makes trouble there, I won't interfere. Let His Majesty the King himself throw the princess Margaret back to her hometown."

"Inviting Lady Luvena?" As soon as Zachary and Baron O'Neil looked at him intently, Frederick cleared his throat. "But for what?"

"There are only three of us. There is no need to address him with such respect" said Zachary cynically. Even if it is his other son, everyone is still required to call with respect even under any circumstances.

"good. I'm sorry."

"It looks like His Majesty wants to see 'the item he wants to sell'." Zachary tapped on the end of his desk, thinking of something. "Tonight it seems like it won't be. Some of my business is still not done. What if it's tomorrow night?"

Frederick nodded respectfully, "I think so too. If tonight, the dress for Luvena didn't get made. While in this castle, there's only the former Lady Britney dress."

"No one told you to buy a new dress." Zachary answered it straightforwardly.

"You want Luvena to wear a used dress?" Frederick's eyes were wide. According to nobility, wearing a used dress is the same as humiliation. Not looked at at all. Even nobles under the Lumiere family never wore the same dress twice.

"That's a lesson for him who dares to fight me." Zachary just wanted the boy to bow to him. Point. "If he cries and apologizes and begs me to bow down, then I will forgive him. Even though he is my own flesh and blood, just like Declan, living in this castle is certainly not free. Back when I was their age, I felt the same way."

"Available to be noble, means willing to be human without feeling. The freedom he craved ...." Zachary closed his sentence with a gaze between cruel and empty. "It is mere wishful thinking."
