"Eve, hurry up and get ready for school. Look, the sun is high. I want you to see when you're in the blanket!"
Luvena Calistee, the eighteen-year-old girl just rolled her eyes in annoyance. Actually, two minutes ago, she woke up. But due to her heavy eyes, Eve decided to go back to sleep. But it was unexpected that the loud call from Sese at the door could return his spirit who was preparing to plunge back into the dream realm.
Eve brushed her blanket violently. Once again, a loud call from Sese sounded from outside. While occasionally the woman knocked on the door of Eve's room whose hinge was almost dislodged.
"Wake up and take a shower, Eve!"
"Yes, I'm awake!" reply Eve no less noisy than in the room.
But instead of complying with Sese's request, finish washing Eve's face and open the window of her room located on the second floor. Desperate to plunge from above and blur easily past the towering tree trunk beside his room.
"School continues. Smart isn't, what's the point?" muttered Eve hissing. If there were no Mr. Basset there, of course the school world will be more fun. The potbellied man was always angry like a street bandit who wanted to poke at everyone passing by. There was no aura of friendship behind his face that was always resounding. Even the other teachers were reluctant to greet him.
And Eve too. He did not like the fat teacher teaching in his class even though Mr. Basset himself is Eve's homeroom teacher.
"Eve, early in the morning already wandering around?"
Eve turned towards the voice. He smiled widely after finding out who was reprimanding him. He's Garlein, the son of the most successful farmer in their village. The house has five, all of them are large and equipped with a spacious courtyard and dozens of rooms. Eve and others stayed at her home during the summer break last year. Every afternoon, the helpers swiftly make them fresh guava juice freshly picked from the garden.
That's what it's good to be rich. Honestly speaking, Eve was a little jealous of Garlein's lucky fate.
Eve walked up to the man who was only a year older than her. "Came, Lein. Not going to school?"
Garlein shook his head, "I should have asked you that question. You've been absent a lot, do you want to skip again?"
"The lesson is still easy. I'll catch up, just relax."
If Eve envies Garlein's wealth, then Garlein is envious of the watered-down brain the girl has. Garlein was diligent in school and only this time was one day's permit. He always did the task earnestly, studying till late at night. But Eve who incidentally always sleeps in class hours, skipping at least a day a week, it never succeeded he dropped from the first rank.
"Today my family and I would like to look around the city while the workers would sell our village's agricultural produce. Wanna come?"
"It looks so fun!" Eve's blue eyes glinted happily. He applauded enthusiastically, "Of course I'm coming!"
"But ... have you asked Aunt Margaret for permission? She'd be very worried if you went all day without her permission" Garlein advised, considering Margaret was protective of her daughter.
"I'm not a child anymore, I'll understand" Eve said. "Come, Garlein. If we're late, your father will be angry."
Garlein could only shake his head as Eve took a step ahead of him. They both headed for Garlein's main house which was not fortunately not too far from Eve's house. Piles of sacks of straw, rice, and flour were raised onto carts carried by two cows. Eve was so enthusiastic. Without the ba-bi-bu, he took a seat on the sacks so that he could see the surrounding scenery clearly. It is like riding an elephant when the festival season comes.
"Eve's coming, yeah. It just so happened that I brought this for you," said Sarah happily, Garlein's mother seemed to be joining the first group on another train. Not like Eve who prefers to keep an eye on the belongings of her village by sitting on top of the pile of sacks.
Sarah chuckled, "Yes, sweet. Don't forget to eat, huh?" said warm.
Eve nodded in spirit. "Sure!"
From a distance, Johan looks to observe the interaction of the two who look familiar to each other. He approached, clutching his wife's shoulder before speaking to Eve.
"Little girl, eat a lot so that your body is not too thin" he said with a funny laugh. "Let you not be swept by the wind when our journey begins."
Eve responded with a light laugh. "Uncle don't worry. Aunt Sese often complains every time I eat because I take a full portion. Any food, it'll be gone!" sengas excited.
"Well then let's see how much you can eat while in town" Johan said. "Eve, would you rather sit on another train with us? Pretty dangerous if you bounce down," asked Johan again convincingly. The head of the plontos looked up steeply because Eve who had been sitting comfortably up there.
Eve shook her head. "no need. I'll just stay here, uncle. You guys don't have to worry. If anything happens, I'll scream. I promise," Eve replied solemnly.
Johan and Sarah looked at each other. They could not refuse the request of the beautiful girl. With a heavy heart, Sarah finally nodded faintly to her husband to allow Eve to remain up there.
He sighed. "Alright, Eve. Remember, if anything happens, call us."
Eve nodded quickly. Then from the direction of the other train, Garlein's voice sounded loud.
"Dad, mom. Our train is ready!"
"We have to go" Sarah said, staring at the two. "Eve, remember Johan's message, okay?"
"Well, pretty aunt," said Eve again happily.
As soon as Johan, Sarah, and Garlein got into their carriage, the party began to move slowly leaving the dry land on its right and left side filled with weeds and weeds at foot-high.
Eve felt a breeze blowing her hair that looked golden when hit by the sunlight. He closed his eyes, enjoying the warm sweep until a loud screech from behind him was able to make Eve jerk in shock.
"EVE, COME BACK RIGHT NOW OR YOU'LL BE PUNISHED BY YOUR MOTHER!"
It was Aunt Sese with her angry face. Complete with a dust-filled duster in his right hand as if ready to land the thing into Eve's naughty butt.
Instead of being afraid, Eve laughed half ridiculously. The aunt was old, it was impossible to catch up with the pace of the two cows that were now pulling her.
"BIBI, I'M GOING HOME IN THE AFTERNOON. SO PLEASE PREPARE SOME WARM WATER FOR ME TO TAKE A BATH!" reply Eve was no less excited until the chickens who were initially busy pecking the ground, now look dizzy looking for a source of sound whose frequency exceeds the normal limits that can be heard by humans.
City, get ready with Eve coming!
