Suddenly Nobles
First Meeting With The Duke

"Eve ... The streets I mean it's, not something like this."

Beckett can only resign when Eve tells him to look for a twig in the shape of the letter Y to start the game. Beckett thought, they would play catch or the like, a boring game, but who would have thought if Eve actually invited him to play catapult.

The man frowned as Eve gave him some stones of about the same size. "What is this for?"

"Have you never played catapult, Beckett?" eve asked dismissively, "do I need to exemplify how to play?"

"Can." Beckett stared around them watching out, "but don't let you ruin anything here. His Grace will be upset then—"

Without listening to Beckett's long rant, Eve closed her eyes and tried to focus. Within seconds, as soon as the stone he placed inside the catapult was glued, the apples still on top of the tree managed to fall to the ground in safe conditions without damaging the skin of the fruit.

Sure oes. Because Eve took aim directly at the apple stalk.

"Great!" Beckett looked at him in awe and clapped his hands like the boy who first saw a kite flying over the sky. "If you register as an archer in the palace, I'm sure you'll get away with such a technique."

"After, stop praising me," Eve replied, "now, try it. How far can you throw your stones."

"Okay, I'll try." Beckett followed the steps Eve taught him. Close one eye and try to focus. Feeling ready, he let go of his pull and the stone floated.

Right about the ground.

"The concept is the same as archery, not too difficult, really," Eve said.

"I've never been taught to play this game, Eve."

Eve sighed, "Yes, of course you never played it. This is my game while still in the village," he said honestly, "just consider this twig as an arrow and the stone is the arrow. It's really easy, there's no way you're going to fail again, right?"

"Oh, so underestimate me, Lulu?"

"Eve, not Lulu!"

"Lulu's funnier."

Eve looked at him flatly. Basic forger.

Beckett smiled obliquely, "That's it. Let's see, whose shot is farthest, he's the one who's gonna win."

Eve raised her eyebrows. "Who is afraid."

"Prepare."

They both pulled the rubber as hard as they could with their eyes focused forward, far towards the entrance gate of Lumiere castle.

"One."

"Two."

"Three!"

They shot the stones at different speeds. Eve pointed straight ahead, while Beckett's stone was progressively downward and downward to coincide with the entrance gate at the open.

The chariot with the Lumiere flag was approaching. Oh, naw. Not good news because Beckett's pushstone is stuck between the cracks of the duke's chariot wheel.

"Eh, is His Grace home?" beckett was confused.

"What's up, Mike?" zachary asked after realizing that the train was not moving anymore even though they were still so far away from the main gate.

"It looks like one of his wheels is having trouble, Your Grace," Mike replied timidly.

Zachary knows something's wrong. The train never runs into obstacles unless someone does. The sharp eyes of the man were monitoring the vast courtyard of the castle. And sure enough, he saw a foreign teenager and Beckett was staring at them.

"Geez, I made His Grace's train wheels break," Beckett muttered fretfully. "Surely after this he will be furious. Eve, we better get inside!"

"Switching is not solving problems. My mother once said, if we do wrong, we must dare to take responsibility and be calm. The key is to relax. Look." Look."

Eve took a breath while closing her eyes, trying to stay calm. He took the next stone and pulled his catapult as hard as he could. In one push, the stone managed to hit and break the previously trapped Beckett stone. After that, the Duke of Lumiere's carriage was able to move back.

"I thought he was going to throw me with that rock" Zachary murmured as soon as he heard a crack under his chariot.

"The train's back to normal, Your Grace." Mike gave the news even though Zachary had found out earlier.

Zachary nodded. "Back the way."

Beckett stroked his chest. He was able to breathe a sigh of relief after the Duke of Lumiere's carriage returned to motion. She turned around, looking at Eve with her cute eyes. "Thank you very much, dear sister! If you don't help me, I'm somehow made miserable by His Grace!"

"Only a small matter, there is no need to hesitate." But undeniably, Eve became proud of herself. "His Grace should also thank me for throwing the stone between her wheels."

"So you made my train stop moving, Lady?"

Hearing a foreign voice coming from behind him, Eve turned her head. Zachary's face looked so close to her because the man was looking down.

Eve believes that if Zachary must only think about his own ugliness and moreover, he could have misunderstood Eve's words just now. Hey, that first throw was Beckett, not him!

"Why indeed?" reply Eve is not afraid.

Beckett made a crime. What if the Duke of Lumiere gets angry? What if Eve is sentenced? Or what if their relationship gets worse? Now Beckett regrets taking Eve out of the castle if it turns out they finally met the Duke of Lumiere this soon.

Hearing that answer, Zachary raised next to his thick eyebrows. So daring. "What's your name?"

"Luvenas." Eve said it with pride. Of course proud, this name is not a market name but very classy. Thanks who? Of course thanks to her beautiful and generous mother.

Zachary watched the teenager in front of him from top to bottom. In any case, Eve looked very similar to her. Eve is the male version of Zachary.

"I am not a patient person. Quickly get out of my sight before the punishment awaits."

After saying that, Zachary turned and stepped away along with Mike who was walking behind. As he spoke, his eyes were only willing to look at Beckett without even turning to Eve as if there was no existence there at all. Though Eve was convinced, the threat was directed at Zachary to him.

Feeling bothered, Eve felt even more upset. Her hands clenched beside her slightly shabby dress. "Don't be arbitrary, Your Grace. This place is really your place, but my freedom is not your responsibility. I want it this way, I want it, yeah, whatever. So don't set things up!"

Zachary glanced at him. Margaret's only daughter was brave too.

"Is that the manners Margaret taught you?" Zachary smiled as he folded both hands. "This first meeting was very impressive. Next, I will remember what you did today as a lesson for you. If you repeat it again, acting arbitrarily in front of me, I will not hesitate to divulge your bad behavior to the public. Of course you know the consequences, right?"

"God, I'm so scared, what should I do, the duke has threatened me." A second later, Eve laughed satisfiedly. "You think I'm afraid my image will be damaged in public because of you? Who forced who, remember that. You need me here, Your Grace. I'm not the one begging you!"

Zachary growled furiously. Just this time he lost arguing even with a responsible teenager like Eve. Even indirectly, Eve said she begged. The world is turned upside down if the Duke of Lumiere to beg for real let alone beg Eve who incidentally is the princess he threw away. Take it easy, just the beginning. Sooner or later, Zachary will find Eve's weakness and be able to suppress the brave pretentious girl.

"Lunchtime, everyone has to be at the dinner table" Zachary said at the end before leaving with his cold face.
