Suddenly Nobles

Suddenly Nobles
The Prince's arrival

"Your appointment as crown prince will be made immediately." The king who sat quietly on the carved chair looked at his beloved son with emphasis. They are currently enjoying a relaxing time in a glass pavilion to the south of the main palace complex. Just the two of them, showed how familiar they were as the figures of father and son. "What else are you waiting for?"

In honor of his father, Lucas bowed. Pay attention to the intricate carvings of ivory white marble under his feet. "What if Crown Prince Felix finally returns?" he asked, "I don't want to take what's already his."

"He only has titles, while you already have my trust, the nobles, and more importantly—the people's trust. What's better than that? You, Prince Lucas, will lead this country after my death."

Again, King Hudson sighed. His right hand moved to pat the son on the shoulder to provide support. "If Prince Felix returns, the throne will remain in your hands. And so it will be next. From the beginning everything was designed that way, right? He sits as the crown prince aiming to protect you as the original heir, while you who are now so powerful that the enemy is made to tremble. You don't need any help from him anymore. So there's nothing to worry about, Prince."

Lucas closed his eyes. The pressure he faced. King Hudson, his father was a very friendly man, but that doesn't mean he's a good man. When Lucas thought of treating Prince Felix's wounds, their father didn't care. All he thought about was the kingdom, the kingdom, and the kingdom. No matter the wife and children until the first queen died a few years ago either because of what disease. To this day Lucas can still feel that sadness, but not for Hudson.

And the saddest fact has just been revealed, that Prince Felix was born from the womb of a prostitute. Long before King Hudson's marriage to Queen Shopia— his mother Lucas— was carried out. Therefore, the attitude of the king towards the child of the result of his dark relationship with the legitimate child looks very striking. Once again, Lucas felt unbearable with his father's brother.

"So how?" press the king again.

"I can't resist, can I?"

"Good boy!" King Hudson applauded happily. "You are the best!"

"The thing is, I don't like crowds."

Lucas glanced at his father slowly. "What if my inauguration party as crown prince is split in half with another event?"

King Hudson frowned, seeming less in agreement. "It should be early on that you start getting used to being the center of attention. When one day becomes king, all the acts, speech, and gestures of your body will be observed by everyone."

The king nodded faintly. This son, is completely covered!

"Unfortunately it's the middle of the year. There is no other official event that can hold the inauguration event," said Lucas ignored protests from his own father. Before long, his eyes widened. "Ah, that's it!"

King Hudson looked over. "What, What?"

"If it's not wrong, Lady Luvena hasn't even held her endorsement as a permanent member of Lumiere's family, has she?"

"Lady Luvena, your cousin?" press King Hudson to warn his son.

"Yes, my beloved cousin," Lucas said, not to lose, making the father furious.

"Why do you want to have the same event as him? What do people think, they'll think if the new Crown Prince wants his own cousin, right?" king Hudson's fiery spray. "You may, however, be the talk of the other nobles present!"

"Don't I tell you, it's the middle of the year. The months of deserted parties, no other noble would hold an event except for someone who was urged to be the same as me," he said kinked, "and so, since when did Lady Luvena become a problem for you? Why do you bother to think about the words of others while you yourself know. We're cousins, aren't we?"

King Hudson gulped his drink down the toilet. Shit, he ate his own shit.

"That's all I want, Your Majesty," Lucas continued calmly. But in his heart, he laughed with satisfaction. "That's, if you want my appointment done this season as well."

King Hudson sighed. "Yes already" said the man in the end. He turned around, calling one of his servants.

"Grab some paper from the best material and also ink and pen from gold. And also get the scribe here. I'd like to write down an invitation to Prince Lucas' appointment as soon as possible. Right now."

...----------------...

Declan approached his two brothers who first sat there. Seeing the sweat soaking in the face of the brother, Beckett took the initiative to offer the remaining water bag half.

Declan received it and drained the contents of the water bag. Knowing the water was running out, Beckett scowled.

"You're coming home in the afternoon, Declan?" ethan asked as he stared at the vast expanse of green grass before his eyes.

Declan shook. "Today doesn't seem too busy. Maybe after taking care of a few more things I'll catch up with you guys. So, go home first."

"Don't take too long," Beckett glanced at a glance. "We know you're avoiding someone who now lives in the castle. But think about it again, Eve was alone. We can't be selfish by taking a leisurely walk here while our little brother has to meet 'with him' all day."

Declan. There's a point too. Finally he nodded. "I promise I'll go home after this."

Shortly after, someone riding a brown horse dashed quickly towards them. The sun is rising, the dust around the person made scattering in the air. Respecting the three, the man immediately went down and led his horse and bowed respectfully.

"The young lords of Lumiere. Greetings," he opened the conversation. "I'm Michael, the envoy from the North Sassanian border wants to convey an important message to Lord Lumiero."

Declan. "Say."

"Some time the entourage of Prince Julius of Brodsway will be here soon. As a representative, you are asked directly by His Majesty to welcome their arrival" Michael replied.

"Did Prince Julius come to attend the appointment of the new crown prince? This fast?" declan muttered that was greeted with a nod by Michael. "Why should I? Shouldn't the one who did this be General Nicholas?"

"He would have done it if the guest would have stayed at the palace, but this time it was different." Michael hesitated to continue his words. But free too, in the end Declan will know for himself.

"What's up, say it!"

"On His Majesty's permission, this time guests will be allowed to stay in Lumiere castle because Prince Julius himself is already considered like Lady Luvena's husband, and the kingdom has given him leeway. Therefore, since only you know the layout and contents of Lumiere Castle, would you guide Prince Brodsway from the border to the door of his room?"

Sensing the hostile atmosphere, Michael trembled. Damn, why should he say this bad news directly to Lord Lumiero. The person who in fact is very angry will behave improperly like an ordinary human?!

Declan looked at him darkly to the point that both Ethan and Beckett could only be silent on the spot. He snorted, then turned around to heed anyone.

"Prepare horses. I'll be right to the border."
