Suddenly Nobles
The Other Side of Terrible Declan

"You guys from town?"

Declan looked up as the question rolled off Garlein's lips. His bait happened to be finished. With a light step the young man immediately followed Garlein and Eve who had already sat on the edge of the wooden road that jutted towards the river. While Ethan and Beckett are still busy discussing, thinking of ways that their bait has a great chance of being eaten by expensive fish such as tuna or salmon. They knew they were going to fish in the river, not the sea.

"You could say that" replied Declan abstractly. He decided to sit next to Eve and throw a hook into the river.

"Carringtown?"

"You seem very curious, yes."

"Of course it's because my best friend is with you guys" he said a little angrily. "Extention of years has passed. If it's really family, where were you when Eve and Aunt Margaret were having a hard time?"

"Garlein, stop. The past does not need to be confused. We just need to improve the present and the future, right. So there's no need for such questions anymore." Eve's sergeant mediates.

Declan, ignoring Eve's words, replied. "We don't need a foreigner's opinion" he said coldly, "so keep your curse deep. No one needs it."

Garlein chuckles, sarcasm. "Oh, this spoiled child is so arrogant apparently."

"If you don't know people's whole lives, you better shut up because you don't know anything."

"You can shut up? How will the fish come closer if you keep noisy?!"

The two men beside her finally shut up. Although a little upset, but Eve was quite relieved to be able to stop the fight both.

But Eve's words just now only had a temporary effect.

"Well, by the way, what did you say, I don't know anything? Please reflect. You know nothing about Eve!" Garlein stood up, pulling the collar of a rough Declan shirt. Declan was not in rebellion. He instead let Garlein say the sentences that made him as a brother feel more guilty.

"You dumped him. Just once, please remember. Have you ever been here before? No, right?!"

"I'm sure you don't even know what Eve likes or doesn't like. You and your father are just the same!"

"Why shut up, huh? Have you noticed where your mistake is?!" Garlein shook Declan's shoulders. "Take me, you fool!"

"Garlein, don't crazy—"

Before Eve finished her speech, Declan who was initially silent without further ado immediately swung her clenched palm right at Garlein's chin. A raw bogem managed to nest there, causing his opponent's eyes to twitch and his lower lip to bleed. Either his lips are torn or one of his teeth is broken. Furthermore, without a meaningful fight, Garlein who happened to turn his back on the river managed to plunge freely hit the water.

"Dec, what are you doing?!" Eve panicked to death.

"Why is he still down there? This spoiled child was not satisfied to make him in pain," Declan replied, expressionless.

"Did you feel no remorse at all?!" Eve panics even more when Garlein has yet to surface. "Declan, help him get back to the mainland before you kill him!"

"After the humiliation I just got, is he worth helping?" Declan. "Oh, forget it. A lot of that shit like Garlein deserves a lesson. If you're worried that I'm going to be sentenced for killing him, then that's not necessary. So far he's not the first person I've killed."

Next Declan chuckled, odd. "Or is he not the real spoiled child? Only being punched once instantly lost a life?"

Eve's lips twitched. Declan was not like this before. He was like a different person, as if human life had no meaning at all.

To save Garlein, Eve knows her brother is unreliable. Without waiting for long, the blond unraveling girl immediately plunged into a river of unknown depth without using any aids.

Be late. Eve had already entered the river when Declan shouted her name. Without a second thought, Declan ran back ashore to pick up something to help Eve out of the river.

Meanwhile Eve continued to go against the flow. Look around with close visibility. The water in the river was clean, but not clear so he had trouble finding Garlein.

After some time spent in the river, Eve felt so relieved when she saw Garlein's body not far from where she was swimming. Eve held the man's hand, cold. His eyes were still firmly closed no matter how much water entered his lungs. With extra exertion, Eve wrapped Garlein's arm around her shoulder and then tried to swim upwards.

This is just Eve's conjecture, but she thinks Garlein passed out from the raw bogem Declan gave her.

"Eve, catch!"

An empty drum tied with a rope immediately Declan threw it at his sister. The already weak Eve could not swim any further. He only expects Declan's help, who struggles to pull him and Garlein back to the mainland.

"wear." Declan enclose the exterior for a totally wet Eve.

He turned to look at the unconscious Garlein. With his skill, Declan pressed Garlein's chest at the same tempo until the man managed to spit out all the river water he accidentally drank.

"Eve, you better go back home let me take care of this guy" Declan said after they managed to get Garlein back to his senses.

"What else do you want to do with her?" Eve squinted, suspicious.

"Just take her back home. Not more." Deftly Declan smashed Garlein's still weak body. "But if this guy comes back to making trouble, I won't hesitate to give him a second fist."

"Then I'll come with you."

"Why? You're worried I'm really gonna kill him?"

"If you already know the reason it is better not to ask again," said Eve while standing slowly. Body's cold. The deep river water was not as warm as the surface.

"Hey, you!"

From far away the loud voice of Beckett can be heard even though his form is not yet visible.

"Well guess what we got!" ethan's not less loud.

Actually both Declan and Eve did not have enough time to listen to Ethan and Beckett. They're carrying sick people, can't linger. But after Beckett lifted what he brought, the two men unwittingly —Declan and Eve— were stunned and amazed.

"Look, we got a big fish for Aunt Margaret. Ah, naw. Probably most if he ate a fish this big alone. We should help him to finish this fish off later!"

So the answer to yesterday's episode was Ethan was the same as Beckett, yes. Not Garlein wong his son aja abis battered because tangent the songong Lumiere ahah🤣

If you're Eve, would you prefer Garlein, the neighbor who's always been there, or Declan, the brother who tried to make amends in the past?🤔
