After the incident at the dinner table, Eve shut herself in her room. Countless times the servants persuaded him to open the door and accept his lunch that had not even been touched at all.
At a glance, Eve glanced at her bedroom door and then sighed. His silent gaze again led to the outside of the castle. Precisely on the path that he remembered as the road to the village where he lived.
"Do I have to run away?" Eve muttered to herself.
Meanwhile at the door, Declan stared at the few servants who were trying to persuade Eve with a deep pain on her forehead. His broad steps brought the man closer. Noticing the heir standing behind them, the servants hurriedly gave way while bowing obediently.
"What's wrong with her?"
"Her Ladyship did not want to receive the lunch we brought, My Lord," said one of them timidly.
Declan looked back at the carved white door with a cold look. "Is the door locked?"
"No, but we're forbidden to enter."
"Give me lunch. Let me go inside."
After getting the order, one of the waiters who brought a tray containing beef sausage tomatoes, milk, fruits, and snacks was handed over to Declan. With a gesture of glancing at his eyes, Declan asked the waiter to open the door for him to enter before the distinctive apple fragrance burst into the heiress' sense of smell.
"I told you no one would dare to enter before I let you. Are you deaf?!" Eve snaps. Even so, his gaze was still locked onto the scene out there.
"Fill the stomach first. After that please continue your sulking show." Declan placed a full tray right on the table that stood beside Eve. "Beckett will be mad at me if you're sick. So is Declan."
Declan had already turned around. But in fact the man's steps stopped when Eve let out her voice. "Declan you mean it .. you, right?"
Eve knew who she was. Declan turned back, staring at Eve. "If I were Declan, what would you do?"
Beyond expectations, Eve laughed. The ironic laughter that sent the waves pierced in Declan's heart. "From the beginning you lied to me. Next what? Ah, a big lie will happen someday."
Declan's tongue. He did not answer directly. "Nr ...."
"Originally you know, I hate lies the most," cut Eve who looked back at the row of pine trees lined up next to the road far ahead. "And you did. What's it for?"
"You want to know why I did it?" Declan's approaching. Standing right behind Eve so that the reflection of the two was clearly visible in front of the glass window they were facing. "As you wish; I'll find mama and make her stay in the best place. If I had confessed to Declan in the first place, I'm sure you'd been forbidden from telling me the truth."
The silence took over. Declan knew Eve was a smart woman. If Declan answers wrongly, his sister's heart might get sicker.
"Mama just doesn't want you in trouble." Eve only glanced for a moment before her gaze returned combing far out there. "Alright, Declan. I want to be alone."
"Not as usual. Aren't you the girl who doesn't know the word despair?"
"I'm not giving up." Eve leaned her head between the window sills. "I'm thinking .. next plan."
"What's your plan."
"You sure you want to know?" Eve suddenly turned her head accompanied by a mysterious grin imprinted on her lips. "If you've found out, you're obligated to help me."
Declan. "Tell me."
"Not right now." Eve sighed. "It's still too fast. If it's time, without you telling me I'll say it."
...----------------...
The next day, Lumiere's castle is turned upside down when Mia initially wants to call Eve to learn manners, but the little girl has already disappeared from her room. Several times Mia tried to wake up. But after removing the princess' blanket, it was not suspected that only a roll occupied Eve's cold bed.
"Are you sure you didn't find Lady Luvena in her room?"
A single glance the servants replied, "We're sure, My Lord."
"What about the places he frequented. Did you guys check?" tanyanya is impatient.
"That's it, My Lord. Even around the water channel we've been looking for."
Beckett gawking. "Why look for it in the waterways? Do you think Lady Luvena is some kind of liquid thing?"
"B-that's not what we mean," they said immediately. "We mean it's possible that Her Ladyship is taking a walk around there."
Beckett nodded. Now his head is dizzy. Where did Eve go. "You can go. Continue the search until Lady Luvena is found."
"Good!"
"Well, where is he!" After some of the small troops left, Beckett also left while looking to the right and left. Eve shouted loudly, but the owner of the name only snorted after Beckett subconsciously made it through.
"Did they really not see me sitting here." Eve shook her head faintly. Pay attention to the people who are busy looking for him down there casually without any burden at all. The sunlight hit right in front of his face, as well as the tree trunk he was sitting on. Who would have thought, in a gloomy castle like the Duke of Lumiere it turns out to have a beautiful tree that is approximately four meters high.
It was not difficult for Eve to reach the top of the tree. Although wearing a wide dress, her agility is not at all hindered by some of the sheets of fabric.
"What are you doing up there?"
Eve looked down immediately. Turning her eyeballs lazily, the girl again noticed the duke who was looking at her in annoyance.
Of the many humans here, why should the owner of the castle find it?
"Down."
"No way." Eve snorted cynically. "Your work must be a lot. No problem, I can handle this myself, Your Grace."
"Where do you know if I do a lot of work? Oh, I know. You're kicking me out, aren't you, Lady?" Zachary's eyes flashed furiously. "Quick down. Now too!"
Without Zachary noticing, Eve smiled obliquely. "I'll go down if you catch me."
"Your Grace." Baron O'Neil again reminded his master. The man's blue eyes did not bother to cover up his dislike of Eve. "We'd better go—"
"alright. I'm gonna arrest you. Now, get down."
Baron O'Neil. How could Zachary want to obey the silly request of the village boy. "Your Grace, should've—"
"Shut up, O'Neil. Putting off work for a while doesn't make the world doomsday either, does it?" Zachary turned his gaze back to Eve who was pensively pensive on the tree. "Why? Not brave?" The challenge was accompanied by a small laugh.
Hearing that annoying laugh, Eve snorted furiously. Without a cue, he jumped free, plunging towards Zachary who had yet to make preparations. But Zachary is an expert in the field of speed and agility. It was proven by its success in conquering neighboring countries within two years. With one hand, Zachary managed to hold Eve's body from hitting the ground.
"You think my strength will diminish after aging?" Zachary chuckles amusedly. "Unfortunately you didn't manage to harm me."
Eve bit her deep lip. His teeth were bluffing in annoyance. But take it easy, it's nothing.
He won't lose to old man Zachary.
