POV Freya
The night is getting late and this is the first time I will stay at Prasetyo. She was my boyfriend seven years ago. But we just split up when my phone went missing and I didn't come back. And when I came back I didn't find him there. Prasetyo has moved to Indonesia and I saw news in the magazine about his wedding.
That's when my heart broke and regretted everything. Why didn't I come back sooner? So that I could meet Prasetyo before he decided to marry another woman. I even heard that marriage started with an arranged marriage. To my surprise, how could Prasetyo decide to marry her?
Is there an element of Budi debt? Does Prasetyo not really love Nadiya? Was Prasetyo married because he had to and still loves me? The proof is that when he lost his memory and had amnesia, why was it only my name he remembered? Is his heart still engraved with my name and this is an opportunity for me to re-enter his life?
I really don't understand how we parted for so long and can now meet again. Should I let Prasetyo lose his memory and hope to never recover. But what if one day his memory recovers, and he returns to Nadiya?
I'm so confused. Where should I choose? Is this an opportunity or what? I'll be back in the clinic soon. I only have a month to be with him here. And in that one month I could be close to her and be her lover. Although not a real lover, for Prasetyo I am a real lover.
For others this is just a skit, but for Prasetyo this is reality. We are lovers. You still have a place in my heart if you want Pras back.
"Suddenly the guest room door was opened by someone." I looked up and saw Prasetyo standing there. I was shocked to see him come into my room these nights. This Indonesia is not abroad that this kind of thing may have been common.
Here the eastern culture and manners are still upheld. If they are seen by others, they will misunderstand.
"Why did you come to my room?" I asked and looked to the left as well. I'm afraid someone saw him come in these nights.
"Emang why? Things like this get used to? We're getting married, so it's only natural that I come to your room." I closed the door slowly and dragged her to sit down.
"You can't get into my room late this night? Isshh this child really does not know the consequences if it is seen by the people in this house." I was so angry with his behavior.
"I can't sleep. I'm gonna sleep here." Prasetyo said and immediately laid himself on the bed.
"Wake Pras!" I pulled him to get up and get out of my room. "We can't sleep in one room. We're not married." It was hard to pull her heavy and heavy body.
"We're getting married soon." Prasetyo said and I saw that he had fallen asleep so quickly.
"Prass! Pras! Wake up! Don't sleep here! Back to your room!" But my attempts to wake him up still didn't work. He's really fast asleep. Or was he asleep, and dreaming, and then sleepwalking into your room? I don't know! How'this? If anyone sees it, there will be trouble.
I opened the door to my room and I saw that no one had seen Prasetyo enter. I then closed the door and collapsed beside Prasetyo.
I looked at the ceiling of the room and could not close my eyes. Right now someone else's husband is sleeping in my room. How could I sleep peacefully. I looked at his unchanging face, and remained as handsome as seven years ago. Not changed one bit. He's still the same as he used to be.
Maybe I turned a little black, because I live in the interior and rarely do facial treatments and also my body. Moreover, the patients who queue up every day make me overtime and do not have time to take care of my body. It's been my dream from a long time ago to become a dentist and open a clinic in a lagging area. I want to help those who are in trouble and away from the city.
I'm not sure Prasetyo can live the way I want. He's used to all the conveniences and everything he's got. Where maybe he can live with me in the interior that sometimes you even have trouble getting clean water.
I will help him until the end of this month. After that I have to go back to the clinic. It's up to him if he chooses to stay here or come with me. But I can't be with him here forever.
Tomorrow I'm going to meet Nadiya and say if I'm going back to the clinic later this month.
I can't remember when I fell asleep. But when I opened my eyes Prasetyo was no longer in my room. I don't know what time he's out of my room? I didn't even know it.
I slowly opened the window and saw Prasetyo at the park with Nadiya.
Apparently Prasetyo was pushing a wheelchair while enjoying the warm air in the morning.
Author POV.
"I'll help you." Prasetyo said when he saw Nadiya trying to run his wheelchair.
"Thank you." Nadiya said and looked up. He thought it was Arya but it turned out that the one currently behind him was Prasetyo.
"How did you sleep last night?" Ask Prasetyo.
"You're right. I feel the same way." Prasetyo. "I actually have plans to go with Freya."
"Where to?" Nadiya asked in shock at Prasetyo's plan.
"We want to spend time together. I forgot what my life was like seven years ago. And I want to pay for the seven years I spent without being with him."
"You're going out of the country? Currently, they are not allowed to travel abroad. Though things are starting to get back to normal." Nadiya.
"I'll accompany him at his clinic." Prasetyo said as he continued to push the wheelchair around the vast park.
"But Freya opened a clinic in the countryside and away from the city. Of course there will be very different from here. How could you possibly live there?"
"I'm sure I can definitely Nadiya. I'm tired of living in the city too. Sometimes I want to spend time in the village." Prasetyo.
"But Pras.there are many beasts."
"Hahahaha you're so funny. I'll bring a rifle. If anyone dares to approach me then I'll shoot him right away."
"We've been like family for the last seven years. I must have felt very lonely and lost...." Nadiya's words just flowed out of her mouth.
"Ahk I'm right. You're like a secret lover. When your husband leaves you don't feel lost and when I'm going with my girlfriend, you don't seem willing. Is there anything you're keeping from me?"
"What do you mean secret? I'm not your dark lover. But I'm sorry Mami, if you leave."
"Are you making excuses?" Prasetyo teased Nadiya who he thought was like his brother-in-law.
"Whatever, if you're going. I'm still.(not willing). Nadiya whispered softly.
"Nadiya, have I been close to someone for the past seven years?"
"Emang why?"
"I often see the shadow of a girl but her hair is short. Yeah.likeyou. Freya never cut her hair that short. Who's she?"
"none. You're not close to anyone." Reply Nadiya.
"Ooohhh I know.who is often seen with me. hahahaha how can it be like that." Prasetyo.
"Who? And why are you laughing?"
"It must be you? Isn't your hair short? And you've been living with me for seven years. Yeah, no more wrong. It must be you...."
"Did you remember everything?" Tanya Nadiya was very happy.
"I just think who is around me more than you? Don't we live in one house?" Prasetyo said while nodding.
"Ohhh!" Nadiya was disappointed. "I think you've remembered and recovered as before."
"Let's go in! The air's getting hot." Invite Prasetyo who began to feel the heat because the sunlight felt more stinging.
"I still want to be here. You go in first. I can't do anything inside either. I can't even walk yet. I'll just stay here." Nadiya said while smiling at Prasetyo.
"Yes already then. I'll call Mr. Arya to accompany you here." Prasetyo said as he walked away.
