FIFTY TWO

“Bu, how many times have I said, mother is my mother, do not ever think of anything else” Qiandra said firmly.  Bik Sum could only exhale heavily, the old woman was indeed willing to be a mother to Qiandra, but if it was necessary to accompany Qiandra to face such great people, like this, Bik Sum felt very inappropriate.

But in the end, Bik Sum relented, he nodded weakly, then stood up and approached Qiandra, “Hopefully I don't embarrass you, Nak”.

“Alright, if Miss Andra wants, we're ready, come on Sister Immy” said Jossie, making Qiandra's forehead wrinkle when she heard Jossie's call to Jimmy's doctor.  However, Qiandra realized now was not the time to ask that question.  They immediately stepped together towards the living room, where all the guests of Qiandra and Dean were already waiting for them.

“Qiqi, right now in front of your whole family and also Daddy Waltz, I'm Dean Walt Zacharias, asking you to be my life partner, Qiandra Zwetta Aldrich Will you marry me” said Dean resting on one knee in front of Qiandra.  The handsome man's hand was outstretched with a red box containing a tiny and beautiful diamond ring.

Qiandra was really surprised to see that, she had just walked into the living room, and suddenly, Dean knelt before her.  Qiandra could only keep her mouth shut, she still had a hard time believing that Dean would actually propose to her.

“Honey....” asked Dean to kick Qiandra out of her daydream.

“Love, is this not too fast, are you really sure of your decision this” asked Qiandra as she looked at the handsome man.

“Two years is not a short time, Honey, it is enough to prove that my decision will not be swayed” Dean said solemnly.  “Now, will you accept me to be a part of your life, Honey” asked Dean again.

Qiandra was speechless, tears were slowly flowing down her cheeks, the beautiful woman was only able to nod her head with a smile on her lips.  Nodding the head of Qiandra made Dean breathe a sigh of relief, as did everyone in the living room.

Dean grabbed Qiandra's left hand and pinned the diamond ring on the beautiful woman's ring finger.  “Thank you, Honey, I will soon pin another ring on the ring finger of your right hand” he said with great happiness.  Dean pulled out Qiandra's body and hugged her tightly, he didn't even hesitate to kiss Qiandra's forehead in front of everyone.

Qiandra looked at Dean's face, the man gently wiped away the tears flowing down Qiandra's cheeks.  “Love, ...” Qiandra was speechless, she felt happy and could not believe what she was going through.

Dean smiled at the woman he adored so much, “I won't let any more tears run down your cheeks, Honey, from this moment on, I will carve only a smile on your face” Dean said solemnly.  He brought Qiandra back to sit in a single chair, and Dean sat on the arm of the chair while still clutching Qiandra's shoulder.

“Finally, Dean finds a place to end his bachelorhood, daddy is sure, you are definitely the best and most appropriate choice for him, Dean is not an easy man to fall in love with, I was worried that he would be single all his life” Daddy Walt chuckled at the eyes of the son glaring at him.

“Dad, I'm sorry, actually I feel so inappropriate for your son, he's too perfect for a woman like me.  And I'm really worried if she's with me, because I..” Qiandra did not have time to finish her words when Daddy Walt had cut her off.

“Because you are a widow and a pesky bearer?, is that what you want to say, Nak” asked Daddy Walt, making Qiandra and Dean surprised.

“So, Daddy already knows?” ask Qiandra.

“Ten-hour trips to this small town will not be daddy wasted, son, especially with a big plan that has been designed by my only son.  I know your late husband, and your in-laws, they are no strangers to me.  So, you do not need to worry about your past, because daddy already knows everything” said Daddy Walt with a wise smile.

“Dad....” said Qiandra with eyes of disbelief.

“It is precisely you who must prepare yourself to face the life of Dean, son, this will not be easy, if you are less powerful, then things will not go well.   Daddy just hope Dean has told you everything and has explained the situation you will face later” continued Daddy Walt with a sad face.

Everyone in the room was speechless at Daddy Walt's words, especially when they saw the old man's sad face.  Especially Qiandra, Albert's doctor and Vian's assistant who understood very well the meaning of Walt's father's words.

“Dad, I can't promise anything, but I will try with all my ability to stand tall beside your son, dad's blessing and support will be invaluable to me” said Qiandra trying to comfort dady Walt.

“I really hope for you both, son, you are the future determinant of Zacharias, daddy's message remains steadfast with your love, and maintain trust between you, my dear, that is a solid foundation for your relationship” advice daddy Walt with his genuine smile.

“Thank you, Dad, for your advice, we will always remember” Dean said, clasping Qiandra's hand tightly.

“Alright, so how long will you hold daddy here, Dean” asked Daddy Walt to change the sad atmosphere.

“In the next three days, we will have our wedding, Dad” said Dean with confidence.

“Love, don't joke, we're getting married as soon as it” Qiandra protests are quite surprised by Dean's plans.

“I'm sorry, Honey, if I prepare everything without negotiating with you, because I know for sure the length of the negotiation if I ask for your approval” Dean said with a smile.

“Love...” Qiandra was unable to continue her words, she simply stared at the handsome man's face with a happy smile.  Qiandra really didn't expect that Dean would actually propose to her and had even

preparing marriage.

“I didn't do it myself, Honey, Jossie helped me a lot, so I could do everything easier” Dean said.

“Jossie..” Qiandra's enlarged eyes looked at the little girl who was still sitting in her wheelchair.

“I'm sorry, Miss, I can't fight Mr. Dean” Jossie cupping both of his palms in front of his chest.

“But, at least you can tell me” Qiandra protest.

“I forbid it, Honey, if you already know it is not a surprise anymore can” Dean replied to the Qiandra protest, he instead pecked at the head of the woman lovingly.

“Ha ha ha, no, son, you must understand, my son is too old, it is natural that he is very impatient” kekeh Daddy Walt.

“Dad...” Dean looked at the daddy with unacceptable eyes at the middle-aged man's remark.

Daddy Walt laughed again at the gaze of his only son, "Hey, is there something wrong with daddy's words, at least daddy hopes the future daddy daughter-in-law isn't surprised by everything that's going to happen very quickly.  Surely all of that there was no reason" the middle-aged man chuckled without caring for his son's gaze.

Dean could only exhale a little annoyed at the daddy who kept laughing at him.  Meanwhile, Qiandra smiled faintly at the words of her future meteoric father, instead looking at Dean by raising his eyebrows.  "Honey.ah, that's not the reason" Dean protested to Qiandra.

“Ah, come on, I think tomorrow you're going to get busy, and I'm sorry this old man, I think I really need a break at this time” said Daddy Walt, he stood up and prepared to leave.

“Dad, why not just rest here, well, even if it's just a little something” Qiandra offers Daddy Walt.

“Thank you, son, not daddy don't want to, but it's not natural that daddy lives here before you officially become daddy's daughter-in-law, not so Bu” said Daddy Walt while smiling at Bik Sum.

“Eh, i-iya Tuan” says Bik Sum with hesitation.

“We will be a besan, Mom, don't call me Mr. again” said Daddy Walt.

Bik Sum really did not know what to say, even though she had long been the adoptive mother of Qiandra, but when it came to putting herself on equal footing with the Dean family, made the old woman very

awkward.

“It's okay, Mom, slowly, we're going to be a family, everything has to get used to.  Well, now we'll excuse us to go back to hotel” continued Daddy Walt, he really understands that Bik Sum feels very awkward.

“Alright, Dad, thank you for tonight” Dean said as he stood with a happy face.

“I will not leave my future wife, Dad” Dean said steadily without the slightest hesitation, making Qiandra only able to sigh and shake her head helplessly.

“Ha ha ha, I expected, well, then we excuse me.” said Daddy Walt with a crisp laugh, then he stepped out of the house followed by assistant Vian and doctor Albert.

Qiandra and Dean drove the guests to the exit of the house, a luxury car was waiting for the three men.  Qiandra bowed to Daddy Walt as the car left the Qiandra house.
