THIRTY TWO

Return to Qiandra's home town, at the time of Qiandra's departure.

Daniel came to his office early in the morning as usual, he wanted to see Qiandra who was definitely resting in the treatment room.  Daniel headed straight for the room, but he had to swallow the disappointment of not finding the Qiandra there.  The nurse who usually took care of Qiandra also said that Qiandra did not come to her room at all.

Daniel immediately ran towards the presidir's special elevator, he climbed to the top floor towards his room.  Daniel was worried that Qiandra was falling asleep at his desk like the first day that Qiandra was overtime.  However, Daniel scrunched his forehead as he looked at the several paper bags lined up on the Qiandra table.  Daniel opened one of the paper bags, and he knew they were clothes that had been worn by Qiandra.

Daniel's feelings grew more and more unsettled, he immediately ran into his room, and the handsome man was again stunned when he saw an envelope placed on his desk.  With trembling hands, Daniel grabbed the envelope and opened the contents.

The first thing Daniel saw was the black card he gave to Qiandra, Daniel's heart getting overwhelmed with anxiety.  With a heavy heart, Daniel slowly opened the letter that was in the envelope, and Daniel's feet immediately limp as he read the Qiandra resignation letter.

The letter slipped out of Daniel's hand, and he sat in his chair confused.  Until finally, Daniel gasped, he immediately grabbed his phone and contacted Dika's assistant.

“When, immediately to the office, Qiandra went” exclaimed Daniel, then she closed her phone and immediately ran out of her room.  Outside his room, Daniel meets Dika's assistant who just got out of the elevator.

“Master, what do you mean Sir, by going, go where did he” asked the confused Dika assistant to see Daniel's panicked face.

“CCTV now” exclaimed Daniel, without much asking assistant Dika directly access the office CCTV to see what happened last night.  They could see Qiandra preparing for her departure and went inside Daniel's room to put down her resignation letter.  Even Qiandra bowed respectfully to Daniel's desk, before she left the room.

They also saw when Qiandra came out through the back door of the office, Dika's assistant clarified the car plate used by Qiandra, “Track as soon as”.

“Good, Tuan” said Dika's assistant.

“Give all members and bodyguards, when it is necessary to rajia all the same cars that are in this city” exclaimed Daniel again in frustration.  “Where are you, Qian, why did you leave me, instead of yesterday you were so good.  God, why was I fooled by your sudden good attitude yesterday, I was too happy to be back close to you.  Qian, where are you, come back, honey, don't leave me” Daniel sighed in his heart.

“Good, Tuan” said Dika's assistant, he immediately contacted all their mafia members, as well as all the bodyguards.  Dika's assistant sent a photo of Qiandra as well as the car plate used by Qiandra.  Dika's assistant also hacked all the CCTVs in the city, he could find that the car carrying Qiandra was moving out of town.

“Master, it looks like the car carrying Miss Qiandra went out of town” Dika's assistant reported to Daniel.

“Shit, where is he, can you see who is in his car” asked Daniel.  Dika's assistant could only shake weakly and bow her head.

Daniel back stunned in his chair, “Please, Dik, find Qandraku, you know, he's my spirit, I just want him” said Daniel weakly.

Dika's assistant was shocked to hear Daniel's weak voice, thinking that Daniel would scold him.  However, the man was instead seen sitting lethargic with a very tangled face.  Daniel even asked Dika's assistant for help, a word that had never been said from the man's lips for years that Dika's assistant worked with him.

“I will try and do my best, Sir, please be patient first, I am sure there must be a trace left by Miss Qiandra” said Dika's assistant trying to comfort Daniel who looks very frustrated.

“Dean, trace his whereabouts” exclaimed Daniel when he realized that there were other men who were also chasing after Qiandra.  “I'll kill him if he brings Qiandraku” hiss Daniel, his face suddenly turns dark with irregular breaths.

“I'll be tracking Dean soon, Tuan” said Dika's assistant.

“I myself will come to him” said Daniel then stood up and stepped out of his room.

“Master, sir, please calm down first, please do not panic” exclaimed assistant Dika to Daniel, but completely ignored by the man who was filled with anger.  Dika's assistant ran after Daniel, and he briefly got into the elevator just before the elevator door closed.

“Then, do you want me to keep quiet, Dik, I lost my permission, Dik, how can I stay calm.

“I understand, Sir, but a rampage in Dean's office will not give an answer, it will only make things worse” said Dika's assistant in the quietest voice possible, although he was quite worried seeing the anger as well as the despair in Daniel's eyes.

Dika's assistant never saw Daniel in this state, Daniel was a proud man who was used to getting everything he wanted either in a good way or in an unnatural way.  Daniel can always get whatever he wants, because he can take the rough road if his wishes are blocked.

However, now Daniel looks very bad, he is angry, annoyed and also frustrated.  Dika's assistant never thought a broken heart could make a man as fresh as Daniel so fragile.  Dika's assistant could only look compassionately at the man sitting on the elevator floor by drowning his face between his knees.

Dika's assistant pressed the elevator button for the president back upstairs, he did not want the employees to see Daniel's condition like this.  Upon arriving in their room, Daniel still did not budge from his seat.

“Master, you better go to the room to calm down first, I will continue to dig out all the slightest information to find clues to the whereabouts of Miss Qiandra” said Dika's assistant.  Because Daniel did not respond at all, Dika's assistant finally helped Daniel to stand up and swept him into his room.

Dika's assistant sat Daniel down on the couch in Daniel's study, and he took a glass of water for Daniel.  “Give me whisky” said Daniel refused the glass given by Dika's assistant.

“But, Mr...” assistant Dika did not continue his words when he saw the sharp gaze of Daniel.  He could only gulp his saliva roughly, then take a bottle of booze for Daniel.  However, before Dika's assistant handed him the drink, a notification came in on Daniel's phone, Daniel took a quick glance.

A moment later Daniel jumped up and grabbed his phone when he saw that the incoming email from Qiandra, Daniel immediately opened the message.

Mr. Daniel whom I respect,

*I'm sorry I didn't say goodbye to you directly, I decided to leave this city, forgetting all the bitter memories that I lived through in this city.  Thank you for supporting me all this time, for giving me so much help. 

I knew I wouldn't be able to answer all that.  Forgive me for not being able to fulfill your wishes and expectations, forgive me for not being able to repay your sincere love, forgive me for all my mistakes and lustful thoughts. 

And I have forgiven everything that had happened in the villa, I want to forget everything and start a new life.  Please let me start a new life, don't look for me.  If there is a soul mate, someday we will meet without having to be pursued again.  However, I suggest looking for another woman who is much better than me, I am just another male remnant woman, very inappropriate to be by your side*.

The phonsel immediately fell out of Daniel's hands, tears streaming down the handsome man's firm cheeks.  He covered his face with both hands, his shoulders shaking withholding his sobs.  Dika's assistant could only be speechless seeing Daniel's state like that.

“Master,..” said Dika's assistant slowly.

“Keep looking for him, Dik, I don't want to lose Qiandra, he's just mine, dik, if necessary I will lock her up so that she just lives together with me” Daniel said in a cold voice that made Dika's assistant shudder.

However, until days and even months and years passed they found no trace of Qiandra at all.  Qiandra disappeared into the earth, there was no trace of her leaving behind.  They managed to find Mang Ijal, but Mang Ijal did not know where Qiandra went.

From then on, Daniel became an arrogant and cold president, he did not hesitate to destroy all his rivals.  Daniel also never sought a secretary in place of Qiandra.  Everything must be handled by Dika's assistant, until finally Dika's assistant asked permission to appoint a secretary to help him.
