Seeing the woman, Kania rushes to leave her, but her hand is grabbed by the woman. "Where are you going? I'm not done with you." The woman stood up and stared intently at Kania.
"Rina, let go of my hand. I have to get back to work."
"No!! I'm not gonna let you go. You took Arya from me and now she's divorcing you. Wh why? Are you ashamed that everyone knows that you're divorced because you cheated on your own sister-in-law?" Suddenly, everyone stared at him. Their views seemed to corral Kania. Miss Risna and Ardi looked at her.
"Let go of my hand!!" Kania tries to let go of her hand and leaves, but Lina chases after him and pulls her shoulder. Suddenly, one slap floated towards Kania to make her cheeks red.
"Basarly a cheap woman!! After betraying Arya you can live happily with Ryan?" Rina approaches him again and wants to slap him, but Ardi quickly runs through.
"I'm sorry, if you want to fight, you better not be at my restaurant. You'd better leave because you've made all the visitors feel uncomfortable." Rina looked at Ardi who was now standing in front of her and looked at the visitors who were looking at her. Irritated, Lina finally left the place.
While wiping away her tears, Kania rushed towards the resting room. Her cheeks were flushed due to Rina's pretty hard slap. Kania then washed his face to remove the remaining tears that in fact could not be dammed. Her tears seemed to find a way out.
Rina's words were very painful for her. I don't know what people will think of him. In fact, they don't know the truth.
Her divorce with Arya, apparently already known by Rina. In fact, after finding out Arya has divorced, Rina often comes to her house and tries to get close to Arya and Tania. However, again it was not that easy for him to get Arya's attention. Until he finds out that Arya is divorced because Ryan is in love with Kania.
"Kania, are you okay?" dina asked as she approached him.
Kania nodded while trying to smile. It's hard, but he's trying to stay professional. As if nothing had happened, Kania continued his task even though the visitors' views looked cynical towards him.
"If you already have a husband, no longer tease other men, let alone your own sister-in-law. It's a woman's name itching because she's not satisfied with her husband, so she's flirting with her sister-in-law." One of the women spoke while glancing towards Kania. Likewise with some of his friends who also glanced cynically at him.
"It's a good thing we didn't bring our husband here, it could be that our husband will be seduced by a demonic woman." Kania still put some dishes and did not care about their babble, until he left when he had finished putting all the orders of the women.
Kania held her chest as if trying to endure the pain that was too painful for her. Unknowingly, her tears fell to the point of making her bow her face. Even so, Kania continued his duty and did not care about the views of the people towards him. Let alone visitors, even his own friends began to stare cynically at him.
By late afternoon, Kania rushed home. It felt, his heart was now so tormented that it forced him to lean against the wall of the rest room. Kania tried to organize her heart, even though it was difficult. The twilight sun shines beautifully as Kania's gaze is fixed on the high seas. His heart was so calm.
Kania hurried to the beach. The restaurant that stands near the coast does have its own charm. Visitors can stare at the open ocean or smell the smell of the sea carried by the wind.
Kania took off her shoes and walked down the stretch of sand and sat on a rock. His gaze was now fixed on the twilight sky that looked so beautiful. The sun appears to start yellowing with a tinge of orange color that adorns the sky. The seagulls seemed to fly and return to the nest. Kania looked at the beautiful beauty before her eyes, but it was a pity that the beauty only made her smile in tears. Now, her crying became so much that it made someone stare at her.
"Is she really the woman her husband divorced for cheating on her with her sister-in-law?" Ardi exhaled his coarse breath as Risna stood beside him. Her brother's question was also the one she wanted to ask.
"Ardi, shouldn't we just fire him? He has been fishing for a commotion twice, but not a week he works in our restaurant. If this continues, our restaurant will lose visitors."
Ardi was still digesting her brother's proposal and it was true, because if he still kept Kania, it could be that his restaurant would lose customers.
"Ardi, make a decision immediately. Brother doesn't want our restaurant to be destroyed just because of that woman." Risna left Ardi still thinking. From the window, he looked towards Kania who was still sitting on the rock, until he saw Kania standing up and rushing to leave.
Seeing Kania leave, Ardi rushed out of the restaurant and approached Kania who was already standing in front of him. "Follow me."
"Sorry, Sir. Me ... "
"Why? If you still want to work, follow my orders. Now, I order you to come with me, is that too hard for you to do?"
"Sorry, Sir. I just don't want people to see us like this."
"Ah, care what with the people. Do I have to ask them permission to go shopping for kitchen necessities with you? Never mind, come on in." Ardi then opened the car door and told Kania to come in. "Hurry up, we don't have much time."
Though hesitant, Kania finally obeyed the man's orders. In the car, Kania just kept quiet without saying a word. His eyes were just out the window. See the atmosphere of the night that began to be illuminated by street lights. Until the car stopped at one of the traditional markets.
"Come, down. We'll shop here."
Kania obeyed Ardi's orders and got out of the car. The atmosphere of the traditional market is indeed much different from the atmosphere in the mall. Even so, Kania seemed to enjoy the market susana that he had not seen for a long time. The traditional market is not a new place for Kania. In the past, when he was a child even when he was a teenager, his mother often took him shopping to traditional markets. Various snacks of cake did not escape his view, until one plastic bag became a hand every time he came home from the market with his mother.
Ardi walked beside him and saw Kania who looked enthusiastic to see the fresh vegetables sold by traders. At night, the traditional market looks more crowded because farmers have just brought their garden produce to sell.
Ardi who seemed familiar with some sellers was busy looking and choosing vegetables to buy. Kania just stood looking at him until the seller stared at him. "Is that woman your wife? Ah, apparently your wife is very beautiful." The middle-aged woman smiled and stared at Kania who looked wrong. While Ardi, just smiled without denying or refuting the woman's words.
After buying some vegetables and kitchen spices, they finally left the traditional market. In the car, Kania fell silent again and just looked out the window.
"Do you often shop in the market like that?" Ardi's question distracted him. At first glance, Kania smiled because she remembered her relationship with her mother in the past.
"I used to, when I was a kid, but I rarely go there now." Kania smiled wryly and looked back out the window until her attention was again piqued when her phone suddenly rang. Seeing the name that was plastered, Kania became hesitant to pick it up.
"Thank you, who knows it's important" Ardi said without looking at him.
Lazily, Kania received the call. "What's wrong?" tanya Kania flat.
"Kania, where are you? I want to see you." The voice was familiar to Kania's ears.
"No, I'm in front of your hostel now. I'll wait till you come."
"Ryan, please, don't be like that. Go home, I promise I'll see you tomorrow." Kania seems upset with Ryan's attitude towards her. Since the incident, it feels like Kania wants to get away from Ryan's life and disappear from him.
"Kania, I want you to accompany me tonight as you used to. Isn't it, every night of my birthday you're always by my side?"
Suddenly, Kania is stunned and remembers that tomorrow is Ryan's birthday. In the past, Kania had always accompanied the man through the change of birth date together. For a moment, Kania fell silent and did not know what to say.
"Kania, I'll be waiting for you." Ryan suddenly disconnected his phone. Kania just fell silent to the point of making Ardi look at her.
"I'll take you home."
"No need, sir. I'm just down in front." Kania looks gloomy to make Ardi undo his intention to lower Kania in the place appointed by the girl.
"Where's your address, let me drive you."
"Sorry, Sir. It's late and I can't get home delivered by my father. I don't want people to assume that I am ... " Kania fell silent and did not continue her sentence.
"What response? Just tell me, what will people think of you? Is it because of the woman's words?" Ardi slowly stopped his car and stopped on the side of the road.
Kania fell silent and slowly, her tears fell. It felt, he was unable to raise his head and oppose the world that was starting to corner him.
"If that's not true, why should you worry? I don't know what kind of problem you're having, but do you know if it's bothering me?"
Kania looked at Ardi who was now staring at him.
"It's only been a few days of work, you've been making a fuss and I could've fired you, but I'm not that cruel. Do you think I'm taking you for no reason?" Ardi was still staring at Kania who was now bowing her face.
"I just want to prove that you're right as the woman said. I wonder if you are a seductive woman who ... "
"I'm not that kind of woman!! I was just caught in a game of fate that was so cruel to me. I just want to be happy with the people I love, but fate doesn't want that. I just want to be happy with her because I ... "
"Because you still love her?"
Kania put her face back down as if she wanted to cover her tears.
"Can't you try to be firm and firm on your destiny? Change your own destiny so that your destiny is subject to you. Ah, never mind, I don't want to make you cry like this. Come out and tomorrow, come back to work as usual."
Kania got out of the car and stared at the car which slowly left him. Back, Kania pondered Ardi's words to her. "Do I have to do it?" Kania.
While Ardi, back to remembering his past. Where, he once let go of his love for the sake of a friend. How he had to bear the disappointment, when he knew the woman he loved was loved by his best friend. Friends who have given life to him to make him willing to give up his love.
In front of the boarding house, Ryan was still standing beside his motorbike until he rushed over to Kania who was walking towards him. "Why didn't you ask me to pick you up?" ryan asked as he grabbed Kania's hand and held it.
"Ryan, there's something I want to talk to you about." Kania stopped her steps and looked at Ryan who was now staring at her.
"What's wrong? What do you want to tell me?" Ryan smiled as he gently stroked the girl's hair.
Seeing Ryan who now smiled at him, made Kania rearrange her heart. However, slowly Kania returned that smile. "I'll accompany you through the turn of the night and we'll celebrate your birthday, just like it used to be." Hearing Kania's words made Ryan hug the girl.
"Thank you, let's go."
With the bike, they then go and stop in the yard of the house they once stopped by. Hearing the sound of the motorbike, Bi Mar came out and welcomed their arrival.
"How, Bi? Is everything ready?" ryan asked as he clasped Kania's hand which he was reluctant to let go of.
"Already, Sir. Everything is ready."
Then they went inside the house. And Kania was shocked when she saw the food and birthday cake that had been prepared on the table. Without asking, Kania just sat down and accompanied by Ryan who was now sitting next to her. Holding Kania's hand, Ryan smiled and landed a kiss on the back of the girl's hand. "Thank you, because I can feel a meaningful birthday again because of your presence. I love you."
A friendly kiss landed on Kania's forehead and was followed by a warm hug that clutched so tightly that a reminder sound on Ryan's phone rang indicating 12 p.m.
"Happy birthday and may you always be happy." Kania kissed Ryan's cheek and picked up a piece of cake and gave it to the man.
"This cake deserves you more because my life will be given to you. Come on, open your mouth." Kania smiled and bit the piece of cake.
On the sofa chair, they sat side by side while watching television. The lights in the room were deliberately extinguished, until a television light faintly illuminated the room.
Kania sat down and leaned her head on Ryan's arm while holding the man's hand. Slowly, her tears fell to close her eyes until she fell asleep.
Looking at Kania who is now asleep, Ryan smiled and kissed the top of the girl's head gently with a prayer so that they would stay together forever.
