Love Kania

Part 45's

Arya walked slowly towards Tania's room. His face looks sad when he looks at the face of the baby who is now asleep. Beside the bed, Arya sat down while bowing her face. Unknowingly, clear water fell down on his hands. The love he felt for Kania, had now been dashed along with the harsh reality he had to accept.

Kania is a woman who is loved by her sister. Arya knows how Ryan feels about Kania. How does he know his sister's love journey and now, he has to accept the fact that the woman is impossible for him to have.

Arya looked back at her daughter and she came back crying. "I'm sorry Papa, because Papa can't continue what is our dream. Papa knows you love him, but he's not for us because he belongs to your uncle. Papa will sacrifice your feelings as well as Papa's. I hope you won't hate Papa." Back, Arya wiped her tears from remembering their togetherness with Kania.

While in the kitchen, Ryan had already finished treating Kania's hand. The glass on the floor was cleaned by Surti. "You better not do anything. Surti, from now on don't let Kania into the kitchen. If I see him in the kitchen, then I'll fire you." Ryan was serious about that.

"Good, Sir." Surti then left.

"Why do you say that? What will Surti and Bi Suri think of me? In their eyes, I'm your sister's wife not yours." Kania looked angry and rushed out of the kitchen. Seeing Kania leave makes Ryan chase after her.

"I know, but it won't be long since Arya will sooner or later definitely know about our past. I'm sure, Brother Arya must have understood and let you go." Ryan looks so sure, but not with Kania.

"Even if he let me go, do you think I'll come back to you? Ryan, realize we can't be together."

Kania rushed into the room and locked himself there. The room looked quiet and he did not find Arya in the room. "Why isn't he here? Is she in Tania's room?"

Kania sat on the side of the bed and waited for Arya who had not yet come. Half an hour passed, Kania was still sitting until the door of the room opened. Seeing Arya, Kania got up and walked over to her. "Is Tania asleep?" Arya nodded. At a glance, he looked at Kania's hands that were still flushed.

"What about your hand? Does it still hurt?"

Kania smiled and shook her head. "No, my hand doesn't hurt. I'm fine."

"Sleep, it's late." Arya walked towards the bed and took a pillow. On the couch, he put the pillow. While Kania was still standing looking at him.

"What's wrong? Is there something you want to say?" Arya sat on the sofa and looked at Kania who was still standing in front of her.

"I'm sorry." Kania suddenly said sorry with clear water that slowly fell.

"I'm sorry for my dishonesty with you. I wanted to tell you, but I was afraid that it would make you sad. I ... " Kania wiped away her tears and tried to rearrange her now fragile heart.

"I already know." Suddenly, Kania looked at Arya who was now looking at her. "I already know about you guys and I thought, we'd better end this contract marriage."

Kania was shocked by what Arya had just said. Slowly, her tears fell. His eyes did not blink as if he wanted to find the solemnity behind the man's words. "Is that what you want? Do you want to take me off?"

"I think that's the best way. After all, there is no reason for us to stay together. Father has died and Tania can definitely forget you." Arya laid her body on the sofa while covering her face with her wrists. She could not see the tears on Kania's face.

"What promise did we make that day mean nothing to you? Is it that easy for you to let me go?" Kania was still standing looking at Arya who was no longer looking at her.

"Sleep, I'll get our divorce papers ready soon." Slowly, Arya shed tears as she said that sentence. It felt so hard for him to say, but he had to be able to control his feelings. He does not want to be selfish because his affection for his sister makes him choose to let go of Kania.

"Well, if that's what you want, I'll follow. I think I should get out of here. Though, I wish you could hold me back because I don't want to leave you and Tania either." Kania wiped her tears and just looked at Arya who still didn't care about her.

"Tomorrow, I will leave this house. Thank you for what you gave me. I ... " Kania is back in tears. It feels so hard to leave a man who has already made him fall in love. "I love you." Kania leaves the room, while Arya cries in silence.

Slowly, Arya got up and sat down while covering her face with both hands. Her heart was as if it was sliced when she heard Kania express her love. Behind the sadness he now felt, there was a beam of feeling that he was unable to articulate. Kania's love speech is like a mirage that can only cool in a moment and then evaporate unceremoniously.

While crying, Kania walked towards Tania's room. There, she cried alone without a sound. It seemed, that night he wanted to leave immediately because he could not bear the farewell with the little family that meant so much to him. She could not bear to see Tania who would cry when she saw her disappearance.

In the corner of the room, Kania was crying. Her crying was so heartbreaking that it made Arya who stood behind the door could only be silently fixated. He hugged Kania and asked her to stay, but she couldn't because it would leave Ryan hurt and disappointed.

"Mom why is it here?" Tania was surprised when she saw Kania sitting staring at her.

"Mama just wants to be here with Tania. Can, right?"

The little girl smiled and nodded. In fact, with her effect, Tania lay down and placed her head on Kania's lap. Gently, Kania stroked the little girl's hair until it involuntarily made her shed tears. "Tania can help Mama?"

"What help, Ma?"

"Tania can take care of papa? Mama wants Tania to always be with papa and not argue with me."

The little girl sat down and stared at Kania. "Yes, Ma. Tania will follow Mama said. Tania will always be there for papa, but Mama won't leave Tania and papa, will she?"

Kania smiled behind the cries she was trying to endure. "Mama will go, but it won't be long. Mama will definitely be back for Tania and papa. Tania's not mad at Mama, is she?"

The little girl hugged Kania and cried in her arms. "I'll wait for Mama. Me and Dad will wait for Mama to come back." Kania cried while hugging Tania who was now crying in her arms. Really, it felt so hard to part with Tania that she already considered like her own daughter, but she still had to leave.

That morning, Kania did her job as usual. Since last night, Kania has been tidying up her things. The black bag that was not too big was already prepared in Tania's room. Just a few clothes he'll bring. And he was determined to leave all the memories in the house and he decided not to accept Ryan because there was no more love for him. The love that once existed, has now evaporated without a trace because the love he has pinned for Arya even though the man has released it.

At the dining table, Kania still sat down to accompany them to breakfast. The atmosphere was so quiet that Tania suddenly cried and walked towards her father. Seeing her daughter crying, Arya then carried her. "What's wrong? Why is Tania crying?"

"Tania doesn't want Mama to leave. Tania doesn't want Mama to go." Tania cried in Arya's arms to make the man hold her tightly.

Ryan who saw Tania crying for fear of being abandoned by Kania, made the young man stare towards Kania. "What do you mean you're leaving? Do you intend to leave this house?"

Kania got up and rushed to the room, but Ryan immediately stood in front of the girl. "Do you want to leave this house? Do you want to leave me too?" Ryan's gaze was so sharp that Kania shifted her gaze.

"Yes, I will leave this house and so will they. Are you satisfied now? You are too selfish and think only of yourself. I am your past and I don't want to be your future because of me ... " Kania fell silent and was unable to continue her sentence. He could only cry and rush to leave the silent Ryan without saying a word.

Seeing their quarrel, Arya tries to mediate. Arya follows Kania who walks towards Tania's room. There, Arya tries to persuade Kania. "Kania, I beg you, please think again. Ryan loves you so much and he can't live without you. Me and Tania will be fine, but not for Ryan because he loves you so much."

"Is it because of him that you're willing to put your feelings aside? So, what about me? Don't you think about my feelings?"

"I know that, but I had no choice. I just want to see him happy and that happiness is you. I know how she loved you long ago. I know how proud he is of you in front of me. If I had known from the beginning that you were the Kania that my sister loved, I would never have asked you to do this marriage. All this time, I have hurt her and I want to keep my promise to my father to always take care of her and make her happy. I hope you understand my current position." Arya cried in every word she said. Between his love for Kania and his affection for Ryan makes him have to be able to choose and he chooses to let go of Kania's love and make his sister happy.

Hearing Arya's words made Kania unable to say anymore. It feels useless if he still expects the man because indeed his love can no longer be maintained. "If that's what you want, then immediately divorce me and I'll leave this house. I hope you will never regret this decision. If you want me to be with him, fine, I will help you to realize that wish of yours. I'll be with him and I'll forget all the memories about us. I hope you and Tania will get happiness." Kania wiped her tears and tried to accept Arya's decision.

"We'd better go see Ryan, and explain to him that this marriage is over. After that, I'll leave this house." Kania rushes out of the room and is followed by Arya behind her. Now the three of them sat together. The marriage contract, it's in Arya's hands. The paper was then torn.

"From today, Kania is not bound in the marriage contract anymore. Brother will take care of the divorce papers soon. The reason we got married at that time was because we didn't want to disappoint our father. Therefore, Big Brother asked Kania to marry a contract and there was no love between us at all. Ryan, Brother ..."

"Thank you, brother, thank you." Ryan clasped Arya's hand and thanked her. She knew her brother would not disappoint her. "I'm sorry, sister, because I still love Kania. At first, I wanted to separate Brother from Kania, but when I found out why Kania left me first, I broke my intention and chose to return to America, but when I found out that you were married to a contract, I dropped out, I chose to stay here and hope Kania will come back to me because I still love her."

Arya smiled at her sister's words even though her heart was very sick because she had to take Kania off to leave.

"Well, since I don't have any more needs here, then I'll go." Kania then got up to the room and took her bag. Inside the room, Kania looked around the room and back she cried remembering all her memories with Arya in the room.

"I'm sorry." Suddenly Arya stood behind him. Kania could see the tears of the man who had fallen soaked his cheeks. There was a sudden sense of disappointment lingering in Kania's heart at the man, but Kania can't hate her because her love is too big and she has to be able to throw that love away because she realizes they'll never be together.
