Love Kania

Love Kania
The Part 14

Though weak, Kania tried to get up. With Bastian on his side, Kania sits in front of her mother, who is still lying helpless. "Mom, even though I'm not your real daughter, I still love you. All this time, I've been giving me love. In fact, for my sake, Mom was willing to kill Mom's own husband. I'm sorry Mom, because of me, you have to suffer." Kania wiped away the tears she could not hold. Bastian who was standing next to her seemed to be gently stroking her back.

"Bas, what am I supposed to do? Mother's illness is getting worse and I don't know when you can survive. What do I do, Bas?" Kania looks desperate. His face seemed anxious at the thought of his mother's condition.

Meanwhile, Arya, has just come after asking for an explanation from the doctor. "Kania, for now, you should accompany your mother first. I know it's hard, but your mother doesn't have time. Be with him for the rest of his life and give him your love as long as he is by your side." Kania nodded and wiped her tears.

Gently, Kania clasped her mother's hand as she kissed her. "Mother, if our togetherness only gets here, I'd love to, Mother." Slowly, the woman opened her eyes. Highlight his eyes looked sad and stared at Kania without a blink. Bastian and Arya seem surprised and worried about Kania until he is attacked again. However, the look in his mother's eyes looked different.

"Mother." Kania stroked her mother's face which now looked different. The woman's lips turned a smile with tears slowly falling on the corner of her eyes. His lips twitched as he tried to say something.

"My son." Kania was shocked and cried. For the first time since 5 years ago, she could hear her mother call her back. Kania seemed to be in disbelief, but once again his mother called him, "Kania, my son."

Kania hugged the woman and cried. "Mother, I love you, Mother." Kania did not let go of her embrace and slowly her mother's hand returned to her. It felt, Kania was so happy that he did not want to let go of his mother's embrace.

"Mom should go, son. Don't cry anymore. Be happy and forgive me." Hearing her mother's words, Kania cried increasingly. The woman's body was tightly hugged, but her mother's hand suddenly watered as the last breath was no longer heard.

Arya who realizes it is trying to calm Kania down, but the girl is reluctant to let go of her embrace. His sacrifice, effort and hard work for his mother did not make his mother have a longer time with him. It was all in vain because his mother left him.

"Kania, stop. Let your mother rest in peace." Persuade Bastian while hugging him. The man seemed to be crying because he knew very well how Kania was feeling at the moment.

"No, Bas. Mom just fell asleep. I'll wake up again." Kania looks shocked. Her face was completely pale and again the girl drooped weakly and fell unconscious.

Bastian then carried his body and placed it on the bed. The nurse again put an infusion hose on the back of the girl's hand.

"Let me take care of everything. I'm asking you to accompany Kania. If possible, we'll have a funeral soon." Arya to Bastian.

All funeral arrangements, hospital administrators and all other expenses are handled by Arya. Arya sincerely helps, because Kania has no family. His only family was his mother and now his mother has left him for good.

That very afternoon, they will bury his mother's body. Kania, who was conscious, could only sit down in the hearse that would bring his mother's body to the public cemetery. Bastian sits beside Kania accompanying the girl, while Arya follows them with her car.

In front of the cemetery, his mother's body was lifted by several people who served to bury the body. Slowly, the stiff body was then put into a burrow accompanied by a prayer lafaz. Kania was just stunned as her mother's corpse slowly began to be covered with earth. Only clear water is always looking for a gap to come out and decorate his eye fertilizer.

Kania no longer spoke. He saw the ground of the grave that had been flattened. With trembling hands, Kania sowed flowers on the grave ground with a prayer for her mother to be happy there.

Kania was still sitting and was reluctant to leave. I think he was unable to stand. Bastian who was worried, then persuaded him, but Kania still reluctant to leave the place.

"Let me persuade him" Arya told Bastian as she walked up to Kania and sat down beside him.

"I'll accompany you here. I know how you feel right now, because I've experienced it too. My wife left me with the little baby she was supposed to take care of. You know, I was so frustrated that the wife I loved the most left me. At first, I felt like I had lost half my life, but I finally realized that life had to go on. I try to convince my heart that right now, my wife is happy there. And I want you to do the same. Kania, you also have to stay up and live your life well. I'm sure, as time goes on, you'll be fine."

All of Arya's words to her made Kania smile behind her grief. Kania realized that, that she shouldn't be dissolved in grief. Although sad, but there is a happy glimmer that covers his heart. His desire to hug his mother, finally could be realized even though it was his last hug. Likewise with the memory of his mother who suddenly remembered him and called his name, it was enough to treat his longing even though it was a call for the last time.

Kania wiped her tears and tried to organize her heart. A smile suddenly etched into the corner of his lips. "Mother, be happy there. I will always pray for you and hope we will meet again. Mom, I promise to live well and be a good woman. I want to be like a mother who loves me so much even though I'm not your daughter. Thank you for all your love and concern for me. I love you, mother." Kania looked back at the mound and mound of land that was still wet. Tears that forced her to come out, unable to hold it until the clear water fell soaked her face.

"Cry, then wipe your tears and lift your head. Come on, we better get home, Tania's definitely waiting for you." Kania nodded and walked away from the burial ground.

Once again, Kania turned and looked at her mother's grave. "Mother, I love you," the inner Kania slowly left the place.

From inside the car, Kania looked at the burial ground which was slowly starting to move away. There was a sudden sadness in his heart that made him bow his face, but not for long. After that, he raised his face.

"You're okay, right?" bastian asked as they arrived in front of Arya's house. Bastian looked worried, but Kania smiled and calmed her best friend down.

"Thank you, I'm fine. Go home, you must be tired."

"Are you sure you're okay?" Bastian is unsure of his best friend's answer.

"Trust me, I'm fine. Say hello to your mother, yes. Don't worry about me, I didn't lose it just once anyway, did I? Come on, come home, I'll call you later." Kania smiles and tries to convince her best friend that she is okay. Though worried, Bastian tries to believe it.

"All right, I believe you. Arya, I'm putting Kania on you. If she cries again, call me."

Arya nodded. "Don't worry, Kania will be fine."

Bastian then left after hugging his best friend.

"Come, we're in."

"Don't bother Mama first, yeah. Here, let Papa be fat."

"No, Tania wants to be carried with Mama." The little girl refused to be carried by her father. Arya tries to take it from Kania's sling, but Kania forbids it.

"Let it go, I'm fine. I'll persuade him."

Sure enough, after Kania persuaded her, the little girl seemed to play by herself as if she understood the sadness that Kania was experiencing.

While Tania was playing, Kania went inside the room and immediately took a shower. In front of the glass, Kania looked at her disheveled-looking face with puffy eyes. The shower makes his body that was tired felt refreshed. Sadness that still spread in his heart, trying to be brushed aside with a smile even though it looks forced. "I can definitely get through this ordeal. I will live happily so that my mother is proud of me. I promise, mother." Kania rubbed her face, trying to get rid of the sadness on her face.

With a definite move, Kania meets Tania who is playing. At the very least, his sadness could be slightly relieved by the little girl's laughter. Arya who saw Kania smiling and joking with her daughter, was quite amazed by the fortitude of the girl.

"Can Papa come play?" Arya approached them while sitting on the floor.

"By, Pa. Then, Tania wants Mama and Papa to be brides. Tania is dandy." Tania smiled enthusiastically. The little girl grabbed Kania's hand and asked him to sit next to her father.

Although a bit presumptuous, Arya can not refuse. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have played" Arya whispered to Kania.

Hearing her complaint, Kania simply smiled. "What's wrong, after all I don't mind as long as Tania's happy."

Arya looked at Kania who was being dressed in talc by Tania. His plain face, now looks menor because of the powder that Tania applied to him. Not only that, his lips were originally natural red, now look striking red because smeared lip red.

"Mama looks pretty, doesn't she, Pa?"

Arya nodded while holding back a laugh. "Yes, Mama already looks beautiful," replied Arya who made Kania smile.

"Why laugh? Look at that face." Arya took a mirror and looked at her face. The man was shocked when he saw his face filled with powder. Not to mention his lips are filled with red lips that look irregular.

"Papa handsome, right?" kania asked the little girl who was laughing when she saw her father swinging his lips.

"Mama and Papa are so funny." Tania laughed again until her face turned red. Not only that, Bi Suri who happened to pass in front of them also seemed to be holding back a laugh.

Seeing her daughter laughing at her, Arya then hugged her and tickled her until Tania revolted on the floor.

Kania smiled when she saw the closeness of the father and son. For a moment, he was happy to see their happiness.

Likewise with Arya who looks happy, because a moment like this is very much desired. The moment where his family feels whole with the presence of a woman. A woman who loves her daughter sincerely.

"How about we take a photo together, Tania will, right?" Arya pulled out her phone and prepared for a photo. In front of the camera, only he and Tania are seen, while Kania looks evasive.

Tania who realized that then got up and grabbed Kania's hand. "Ma, let's take a photo together. Mama don't stay away from Tania and Papa." Kania was invited by him and the three of them took pictures together.

Not just once they took pictures, but repeatedly. Their smiles and laughter were clearly engraved on every photo sheet. They look like a happy little family.

"Now, Mama and Papa are taking photos together." Tania grabs her father's hand and asks him to hug Kania. Suddenly, Arya was shocked when Tania asked him for that.

"No need, we have many photos." Arya tries to dodge it subtly, but Tania still forces her.

"Come on, Pa, hug Mama." Tania continued to force while whining in front of him.

"Here, don't cry anymore. All right, Papa and Mama will take a photo together." Kania then glanced at Arya and asked her to hug him. "Just do it, I'm okay."

"Come, Pa. Hugged Mama."

"Yes, yes." With a slight hesitation, Arya wrapped her right hand around Kania's shoulder and grabbed her.

"Well, so dong, Pa."

After several photos, the two of them finally broke free from Tania's coercion which made Arya awkward. While Tania, looks smiling herself when looking back at the results of their photos.

Kania went to the bathroom and cleaned her face. And so did Arya who went into her room. In front of the mirror, Arya looked at that messy-looking face. He smiled as he remembered the incident. He felt like he had a full family.

Although Kania's face looks menor with thick powder and irregular lip-splitting, but in her eyes, Kania looks beautiful with her sweet smile. The girl's face looks charming with her innocent behavior without being made up. "Ah, am I crazy? Why can I think about it?" Arya then washed her face and tried to erase her momentary imagination. The life slowly began to disturb his heart.
