Love Kania
The Part 19
Ryan Wicaksana, a young man with a handsome face. He is the youngest son of Wicaksana which means is the younger brother of Arya Wicaksana. Since 4 years ago, Ryan decided to live in America following his father. Precisely, after she broke off her relationship with Kania.
The face of the young man seemed to change when he saw the figure of the woman who was now being joined by his brother. As if in disbelief, Ryan rubbed his eyes to confirm the familiar face, but the face remained the same. The face of the woman who once made him fall in love and also hurt. The young man got up from his seat and walked to his room.
"Ryan, where are you going?"
The young man did not answer his father's question and still passed away going into his room. His face seemed to hold back anger because the woman he considered to be a cheap woman was now married to her brother. "Damn it! Does he want to make Kak Arya his next victim? I won't let him hurt Arya's sister." Ryan was so angry that he beat up the samsak hanging from the ceiling of his room.
Ryan then came out of his room and met his father who was still enthusiastic to see the marriage contract that had just been completed.
"Dad, I'll come with you back to Indonesia." Ryan's words made his father look at him in wonder.
"Why have you changed your mind now? Didn't you say yesterday you didn't want to go back to Indonesia?"
"I've decided to come home with Dad, after all it's been almost 3 years I haven't met Brother Arya and also my niece."
"Yes, then you're ready. We're leaving the day after." His father looked back at his laptop screen and his face seemed to smile when he saw Arya and his daughter-in-law sitting opposite his granddaughter who was smiling on the lap of the son-in-law.
"Ryan, your sister's wife is very beautiful and look at Tania who seems to be very familiar with her. Ah, I'm so happy that your sister has found a woman who loves Tania." The young man did not answer and just left his father.
"Hey, where are you going? Here, your brother wants to see you." Call her dad when Ryan just opened the door.
"I'm not a kid anymore Dad. Tell Arya to wait for me at home because I have a surprise for her." Ryan then went into his room and took his car keys.
"Where are you going?"
"Regular, Dad. I'm gonna go for a second." Ryan then headed for the black sports car and got into the car. Shortly afterwards, the handsome young man was seen leaving the parking lot.
"Dad, where's Ryan?" arya asked when she saw her father sitting alone.
"Your sister just left. Take it easy, he will come with Dad back to Indonesia. He said he had a surprise for you."
Arya smile. "Surprised? Ah, at most he just wants to ask for pocket money from me." His father laughed at his son's words. Ryan was always spoiled for Arya. Ever since their mother died, the brothers became familiar because they were the only two that their father had at this time. They both love each other so much. Although the distance separated, but the brothers always informed each of them.
At a cafe, Ryan is seen sitting while enjoying a cup of coffee latte. The melodious sound of Richard Marks playing in the cafe made Ryan even more soluble in his sadness. Faintly, memories in his past began to interfere with his thoughts. The beautiful time that was once engraved with his beloved girl. The first meeting was the beginning of their love story.
At that time, Kania had just come with Bastian in their campus cafeteria. As a new child, Kania was quite famous for her beautiful face and good demeanor. Even so, there are people who envy him.
On campus, Kania did not have too many friends. The only friend who was with him was Bastian. Until one day, an unpleasant event happened. In public, Bastian was made fun of for his poverty. Not only that, Bastian was even bullied by some young people who apparently did not like to see him close to Kania.
In front of many people, Bastian was humiliated. Kania who can not stand their attitude, with his challenge to defend his best friend. "What if he is poor? What right do you have to say it like that? You are poor because your hearts are dirtier than garbage." Kania's words made some of them unacceptable. Their faces reddened as he blurted out that sentence.
"It turns out that a rich and beautiful girl like you has very bad taste. Look at him, what do you like about him?"
Kania smiled and looked at Bastian. "I admire him. At least, he can finance his mother and three younger siblings with money from his own hard work. You're so proud of your parents' wealth, but he has to work hard to pay for college and his family. So, what should I like about you guys? If you are not able to make your own money, then do not underestimate others. Supposedly, you're ashamed of him because he can make money with his sweat." Kania did not care about the gazes of the people who were pointing at her.
Feeling disgraced by Kania, two young men slowly approached her. Their faces looked angry with clenched hands. Seeing Kania who approached two young men, Bastian made a stand in front of his best friend. "If you touch him, I'll kill you!" His eyes look so sharp. His plain face slowly looked rosy. His eyes wildly turned towards the two young men.
"Why? Do you dare to fight us? Who do you think you are?"
"I am his best friend. If you just touch the tip of her hair, you'll be finished in my hands!!" Bastian is threatening. This time he looked earnest to the point of making the two young men shrivel up.
"Based on people don't know at profit!" One of the young men then directed a punch towards Bastian's face, but the man swiftly dodged until his punch hit the empty space. Failing to hit him in the face, the two young men begin to gang up on Bastian, but Ryan suddenly comes and helps him. Seeing Ryan come to help Bastian make the two men immediately retreat.
"Why stop? Go, forward!" Ryan who has an athletic posture is enough to make the guts of the two young men shrivel. Ryan is no ordinary guy. On campus, he was quite respected for his achievements in the field of martial arts. He is one of the most accomplished taekwondo athletes. Not only that, Ryan's parents also have a share in the campus.
"Go away, we have no business with you!"
"Who says I have no business with you. They are now my friends, so now their problem is also my problem. If you don't accept it, you can all move forward." The fearless Ryan then put up the horses. The young man who had won a gold medal in the inter-campus Taekwondo championship was apparently not kidding. He tried to refrain from interfering, but seeing the two outrageous behavior of the young man finally made him intervene.
Disinclined and frightened, the two young men finally left. Seeing the serious-looking Ryan challenge them enough made the two think a thousand times to stay against.
"You're okay, right?" ryan asked as he looked at Bastian who was wiping his bloody lips.
"I'm fine, thank you." Bastian smiled and stretched out his hand to shake his hand and Ryan replied by accepting his hand.
"Hey, don't cry, I'm fine." Bastian rubbed the clear water and put on a smile on his lips.
"Kania, don't worry. Now there are people who will take care of us because now we have new friends. Yeah, right, buddy?" Bastian looked at Ryan who seemed to be watching Kania who was lowered in her tears.
"Yes, just calm down. As long as there's me, there won't be anyone on campus who'll bother you."
Kania raised her face and looked at Ryan. Suddenly, Ryan was so amazed by his charm. Not only because of beauty, but a good attitude and indiscriminate social status in making friends make Ryan amazed him. Especially when Ryan saw him who was so defending his best friend, making Ryan became curious about the girl.
Since then, the three of them have become friends. Everywhere, they are always together. Until the feelings that Ryan felt for Kania was no longer able to stand it. Especially when looking at Kania who was approached by several youths several times.
"Do you like Kania?" Ryan is shocked when Bastian asks about his feelings for Kania. Ryan seemed embarrassed to confess his feelings to his best friend.
"If you like her, tell her quickly. Otherwise, you can regret that Kania will be taken by another young man."
Ryan was confused. She was afraid that if Kania rejected her, then she could no longer befriend the girl. However, if he does not express those feelings, then forever those feelings will continue to torment him.
"Do you think he'll accept me?"
Bastian nodded and smiled. "Just tell her how you feel, I'm sure she'll take you." Bastian tried to convince his best friend and finally, Ryan ventured to express his feelings.
That afternoon, the three of them promised to meet at one of the cafes that were quite fond of young people at that time. Cafe that serves a home menu with a home atmosphere becomes a fun place for them to gather.
Kania is seen sitting casually while listening to the foreign older chat that is played in the cafe. Ryan was sitting next to her.
"Bastian why so long? Promise's at 4, but it's 5 now why hasn't she showed up yet?" Kania looked worried and immediately picked up the phone inside her bag. Just now he was about to call his best friend, his phone rang and it was from Bastian.
Bastian apparently could not come because there was still work to be done and he understood that.
"What's he saying?"
"He can't come because he's still working."
"Then are we the two of us going to watch?" Kania nodded, but her face looked uninspired.
"Kania, do you like Bastian?" Kania looked at Ryan who was so curious about the relationship between his two best friends.
"I like him, I like him a lot because he's my best friend. I've looked at him like my own brother and I can't change that feeling. He's just my best friend, nothing more." Kania's answer made Ryan's face smile. At least, he now knows that the relationship between his two best friends is only a friend, nothing more.
"Kania, do I have a chance to ask for more?" Kania looked at the young man closely.
"What do you mean?"
"I like you." Ryan spontaneously expressed his feelings. Kania was surprised, but soon she smiled.
"You're kidding me, right?"
"I'm not kidding. I'm serious, Kania. I really love you." Kania's face suddenly flushed. He felt so embarrassed that he made his face look down.
"I'm sorry, for surprising you, but that's my feeling. I love you and I want to take care of you. Kania, allow me to be your girlfriend. I promise, I will always love and take care of you." Ryan said it very seriously. The look in his eyes was implied by such great hope. That afternoon, the rain slowly fell. Raindrops sounded so sweet as Ryan's unrelenting promise asked for hope from him.
Kania was still speechless, but the slowly falling rainwater made her enjoy the beautiful moment so much that it made her accept Ryan's feelings for her without the slightest hesitation.
Ryan looks so happy when Kania accepts his love. I don't know since when, Kania felt the same feeling. But for sure, they look happy when starting a relationship with a new status. Status as a lover.
From that moment on, they began to love. Not a few tests of love that come close, but they can still face both. Up to 2 years later, the love test really tests when Ryan finds Kania walking in intimate company with another young man. His heart was broken seeing Kania's sudden change. Despite asking for an explanation, Kania refused to explain. The second chance Ryan gave him, absolutely not. Bastian shut up when Ryan asked for an explanation.
Ryan who was disappointed because he felt betrayed, finally reluctantly made a decision, namely separation. And, again he had to be disappointed because Kania accepted the separation without saying anything, as if she did not want to maintain their relationship anymore.
Not waiting for a long time, Ryan finally decided to leave Indonesia and continue studying abroad. Until his heart was cut back when he saw that face again.
"Hey, why daydream?" Ryan was shocked as in front of him stood a beautiful woman who looked at him. His past daydreams suddenly froze as the woman's smile led to him. A smile that made her forget the love of her past. A smile that had lately started filling the silence of his heart.
