The Part 38

Bastian's existence at the airport is not without cause. Selly who had just gone to Italy to take care of work there was worried about Kania. The girl cares so much for Kania that makes Bastian even more salute with her. Although she was gone for only a few days, the girl was so worried about her best friend. Those words were what Ryan overheard while following Bastian from behind and it was those words that made Ryan take the decision to return immediately and cancel his flight.

With a sigh, the young man returned home. It felt, he was so happy when he found out that the girl he loved only did a contract marriage with his brother. Although he does not know the reason for the girl to do a contract marriage, but at least he still has a chance to get love Kania again.

Upon arrival in his yard, Ryan got out of the car and immediately got into the house. His eyes wildly searched for Kania's figure, but he did not find it. There was only Bi Suri who was shocked when she saw her master. "Son Ryan is back? Thank goodness." Suddenly the middle-aged woman cried.

"Bi Suri, what's wrong? Why is Aunt crying?" Ryan was so curious when he saw the middle-aged woman who had been working since he was a child crying in front of him.

"Mr Wicaksana is now in the hospital. Suddenly, the Master fainted. His face was very pale. Lady Kania directly took her to the hospital."

Hearing Bi Suri's explanation, Ryan was so shocked. "I'm going to the hospital now." Ryan then headed for his parked motorcycle and went to the hospital. Upon arrival there, he was so surprised to find his father who was now lying with tools that had been attached to his body. Instantly, Ryan shed tears. "What happened to dad?" asked the young man to Kania who was so shocked when he saw his arrival.

"Ryan, why are you here? Didn't you go to America?" Kania approached the young man who was now holding back tears.

"Dad why? I want to see him." Kania immediately prevented the young man from entering his father's room.

"You can't go in there because you're still in care and shouldn't be visited for a while. We can only see it from here." Kania prevents her and tries to calm the young man down, to the point that she is shocked when Ryan suddenly hugs her and cries in her arms.

Seeing Ryan crying in her arms, Kania was still fixated and could do nothing. It felt, it was impossible for him to dodge or refuse because right now, the young man must be very sad. "We pray that Dad will come to his senses soon. Never mind, don't cry anymore." Kania gently stroked the back of the young man who was now holding her tightly until Kania was surprised when Arya suddenly came. Instantly, Kania becomes confused to the point of almost making her break away from Ryan's embrace. However, Arya slowly approached them and patted her sister's back slowly.

"Don't cry, we have to be strong. We have to be sure that Dad's gonna be okay." Seeing her brother, Ryan released a hug from Kania and hugged her brother. "Thank God you didn't leave because that's what you expected. Big brother's happy that we're both there when Dad needs us." Arya stroked her sister's back and tried to calm her down even though she felt sadness herself, but there was no way she could show it.

Seeing those who loved each other so much, Kania felt guilty because she had been present among them. Kania finally decided to leave them and chose to sit in the front seat of the corridor. "They love each other so much, but why do I feel so unworthy to be among them?" Kania is worried now. I don't know what he's feeling now. From Ryan's embrace, he could tell that there was something else about the young man.

Kania sat down while bowing her face as if there was a burden she was now carrying. Suddenly someone sat beside him. "Thank you, because you've been looking after me. If there's no you, I don't know what's gonna happen to me." Kania looked at the voice and found her husband, who was holding back his tears.

At that time, Kania was about to bring a glass of honey tea that she used to make for her father-in-law. Having waited too long in the living room, Kania finally decided to take her to the room. After several knocks on the door and no response, Kania finally ventured to open the door and she was shocked to see the middle-aged man's body already lying unconscious on the bedroom floor.

However, Kania did not panic. He immediately contacted the hospital and asked for an ambulance to arrive. It did not take long, the ambulance finally took his father-in-law to the hospital.

"I hope you and Ryan can be strong. I know it's hard on you, but rest assured that everything will be fine." Kania tried to calm her husband even though she knew what he said was impossible, because he already knew the disease that his father-in-law was suffering from and he also knew that the age of the man was not long.

Hearing Kania's words, Arya smiled, but with tears slowly falling down. "Now, I just know it's like being afraid of losing and that's what you used to feel. I know father's illness and I also know that father won't last much longer because of father ... " Arya stopped her sentence because she could not imagine if she lost the figure of the old man who meant so much to her.

Seeing her cry, Kania hugged her while holding her hand. "Patience, we wish you all the best." Kania shed tears because she remembered her mother. He knew what it was like to see a loved one on the brink of death. She knew, right now Arya must be so depressed because anytime her father would be gone for good.

"Please, don't tell Ryan anything about your father's illness. Let us both know. Kania, this time I beg you to stay by my side because I don't know what it would be like without you. I ... " Arya tightened her embrace and Kania nodded slowly while gently stroking the young man's back.

"Calm down, I'll always be by your side. I'll help you take care of Dad. Isn't your father my father?" Kania tried to smile between her falling tears.

While behind the door, Ryan saw them hugging each other. Although he knew they were only marrying contracts, but there was a hint of jealousy that scratched his heart. Ryan is jealous. Jealous of their closeness, but he tried to withstand the turmoil of his jealousy because at this time he wanted to focus on the recovery of the father. With a lazy step, Ryan went back inside.

It has been almost three hours Wicaksana lying without the slightest reaction to make Arya more agitated. Not only that young man, but Ryan felt the same way. "Sister, what happened to Dad? Why aren't you conscious yet?"

"Let's calm, it's just the effect of the drug that the doctor gave me. Let's just wait. If you're tired, you can go home so that Brother will take care of Dad." Arya tried to make her sister calm down.

"No, Brother. I'll wait until you're back to consciousness." Ryan refused to go home and sat back in the chair looking at his father.

"All right then. For this afternoon, you are here to accompany father, Brother went home first to prepare the clothes of father. Later in the night, Brother will stay here and you go home and rest. If you're aware, we're contacting each other. What say?" arya asked her sister.

Arya finally returns home with Kania. Although it looks tough, but Kania knows that Arya is devastated to hear the news about her father's life that is not long. "You're okay, right?" kania asked when they had just left the hospital.

"I'm fine." Arya tried hard in front of Kania, but Kania knew that the young man was not doing well.

On the way home, Arya was quiet. He seemed to be enduring deep sadness. Seeing him, Kania just resigned and could not do anything for him.

Upon arriving at home, Arya then went into his father's room and took some pieces of his father's clothes. Under a pile of clothes, Arya finds a brown map that her father has hidden. With trembling hands, Arya began to open the brown map and read every word written until her crying could no longer hold. "Dad, why didn't you come out and tell me about your illness? Why do you keep it alone?" Arya cried while hugging the brown map.

Hearing her cry, Kania immediately entered and found the young man crying as he pleased. "Calm down." Kania walked up to him and sat down beside him while gently stroking his back.

"I'm afraid that dad will actually leave." Kania looked at the face of the young man who had been soaked with tears. There was a sudden sense of pity from seeing him cry until unconsciously, Kania wiped away the young man's tears.

"I know you're sad, but if you see you sad like this, I'm definitely very sad. I know, I can't comfort you, but I just want to make sure that I'll always be by your side. We're gonna face all this together." Kania spoke sincerely until Arya hugged her.

"Thank you." Arya came back crying in her arms and Kania could only allow her body to become a backrest for the young man to cry. Until Tania comes, Arya then wiped her tears.

"Why are you crying?" ask the little girl plain.

Kania smiled and held her. "Papa doesn't cry, baby. Tania can help Mama?"

"What help, Ma?"

"These few days, Papa and Mama will rarely be home because grandfather is sick. Therefore, Mama and Papa had to accompany grandfather in the hospital. So, Mama asked Tania to play at home with Mbak Surti. If Grandpa is healed, Mama promises we'll play again. Can, right?"

The little girl nodded and hugged Kania. "Yes, Ma. I can, I can."

Seeing her daughter so understanding, Arya then rose and embraced Kania and also her daughter. "Papa loves you. You are Papa's life."

Hearing Arya's words, Kania gasped. He was shocked as the young man said a sentence that made his heart pound violently. Seeing Kania's expression, Arya smiled and nodded at him. "Can we stay forever like this? I know it's not the right time, but I want you to stay my wife and be my daughter's mother." Kania looked at the young man's face, unconsciously Kania shed tears. With a lowered face, Kania nodded to make Arya tighten her embrace even more.

I don't know what Kania is feeling right now. The girl was so happy when Arya asked her to stay by her side. No longer a temporary wife, but a wife forever.

"Tania played with Surti because Papa wanted to talk to Mama first."

"Yes, Pa." The little girl then left.

"I'm sorry, if what I asked you earlier surprised you, but it's true. I want you to remain my wife because of me ... " Arya stopped her sentence and looked at the face of the girl who was now standing in front of her. "Because I love you."

Kania who had lowered his head earlier slowly raised his face and looked straight at the young man. "You're not kidding, are you?"

Arya then grabbed Kania's hand and grasped it tightly. "I'm not kidding and I never mess with my feelings. I really love you and I don't know when I felt that. All I know is, I don't want to take you off." Kania was surprised to make her cry.

"For the time being, I feel calm because I've already expressed my feelings. I know religiously we are husband and wife, but I won't touch you as long as you won't let me. I will wait until you really accept me and love me. For now, we focus on the father and we just live this relationship like a lover. And help me to undergo this ordeal, I beg you."

Hearing the young man's heart expression, Kania smiled and nodded. "All right, let's just go through this relationship. I promise I'll always be by your side and Tania."

Arya smiled and clasped his wife's body while peeping her forehead. It felt, she was so happy because the woman who had made him fall in love was also feeling the same way to him. Together with Kania, Arya is determined to live a marriage life without pretense, because the love she feels is truly sincere. And with the girl, she wants to live happily with her daughter and build a small family that is whole and full of happiness.
