Love Kania

The Part 11

Kania's willingness to accept Tania's request makes Arya unsettled. In the living room, she sat while waiting for Kania who was still putting her daughter to sleep in the room. He wanted to ask for an explanation from the girl.

Accompanied by a cup of coffee, Arya sat while looking at the television screen that was still on. However, he actually did not focus on the show he was watching because his mind was still troubled by Kania's confession. "Can we talk for a second?" Arya suddenly stood in front of Kania as the girl had just walked out of the room. Apparently, Arya felt unsettled to make her leave the living room and stand in front of her daughter's room.

Kania simply nodded and followed Arya who was walking towards the middle room. On the sofa, Arya sat down and Kania just stood not far from her. "Why stand? Come sit!"

Kania sat on the sofa in front of her. As if understanding the purpose of their conversation, Kania then opened the word. "I'm sorry, if I've been presumptuous to agree to Tania's request. I realized, I didn't deserve to agree to it, but I couldn't bear to see Tania have to be disappointed for expecting me so much. I know, my job is to just look after and pay attention to her, but I already love her."

"Is that your only goal?" Arya's words made Kania's face change.

"Whatchu mean? Do you think I deliberately agreed to it because it had a specific purpose?"

"I didn't mean it that way. I just didn't expect, you easily responded without thinking first. Are you serious about your confession? Without asking me, you immediately accepted it. Don't you think that I could have rejected it?"

"If you refuse, what can I do. All right, whatever I do with Tania, I'll ask for your approval first. Sorry, if I'm wrong." Kania bowed her face and no longer said anything.

"Are you serious about your decision to stay here?" Arya looks softened.

"I'll stay here if I'm needed because I owe you a favor. I'll leave, if I'm no longer needed. I'm so grateful that you, my mother, can be cared for. And I have promised to repay your kindness even with my life. I don't have the money to pay my debt. I can only give my affection for Tania, and it's sincere. Whenever you want me to go, then I'll go." Kania uttered all of that with tears already hanging on her eyes. He felt so sad that he made her cry.

Seeing Kania crying, Arya became devastated. "I'm sorry, don't cry anymore. I know that you love Tania sincerely so I am willing to look for you, but I am also worried because I know the nature of my daughter. No woman can make him laugh and happy other than you, even though his own aunt does not like him. Therefore, I was worried that Tania would ask for more."

Kania lifted her face and looked at the man. "What do you mean?"

"Tania asked you to stay here forever and that means she wants you to be her mother. And that means, we have to get married."

Kania was surprised and looked at Arya. "Married?"

"Why surprised? Didn't you think about it before you agreed to Tania's request?"

"I ... " Kania looked confused and unable to speak.

"Why? Can't you handle it? Didn't you just say that even your life is willing to give for me?"

Kania speechless. He did not expect, his words would make himself cornered. Even so, Kania tried to remain calm. "If indeed marrying you could make Tania happy, I would do it, but would you marry a woman like me? I'm just a poor girl with nothing. In fact, I'm not as pretty as the women you know out there. Do you mind?"

Arya smiled wryly upon hearing Kania's words. "Do you think I can't do it? Do you think I don't want to see my daughter happy? Whatever it is, I'll do it for the sake of my daughter's happiness even if I have to marry you." Arya looks earnest to make Kania look at her.

"If marriage can make Tania happy, I will accept it, but if it does happen I will not ask you to do your duty as a wife. Just do your job as a mother for Tania, nothing more. Ah, we better talk about this later. I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable. Go to sleep." Arya then got up from her seat and went inside her room.

Kania did the same. Inside the room, he kept thinking about what they had just discussed. Same with Arya. He couldn't sleep because he thought the same thing. "Ah, do I have to go this far?"

Arya looked at the picture of her wife. "Rani, is it time for me to fulfill my promise to you? Is she the woman I should marry because of her sincerity in loving our daughter?"

Arya closed her eyes and remembered everything she had promised when she was about to die. The promise that had not been kept because the woman who always wanted to be close to him, was always rejected by Tania. And now, Tania finds a woman who is so sincere about loving her accidentally and Arya, inevitably has to keep her promise.

Just as Kania closed her eyes, suddenly Tania's crying voice startled her. Spontaneously, Kania ran towards the little girl's room and followed Arya who also ran in the same direction.

"Tania why are you crying?" Kania then hugged the little girl who had been crying so much.

"Mama, Tania's scared."

"Tania need not be afraid anymore, there will be Mama and Papa here." Kania tried to persuade the little girl while gently stroking her back.

"Papa and Mama accompany Tania to sleep, huh?" Sontak, Kania and Arya were shocked and looked at each other.

"Let Mama go with Tania to sleep, come on."

"Tania wants Papa to sleep here. Come on, Pa." Tania whined while extending her hand towards her father.

"Alright, but Tania has to go to bed soon and don't cry anymore." The little girl nodded and smiled.

In a fairly spacious bed, the three of them lay down. Kania looked awkward as she laid her body beside Tania. Although Tania was in the middle of them, they both felt very uncomfortable.

Kania looked at the ceiling of the room and slowly closed her eyes. Arya who was also still fixated, could only look at the sky-lit rooms and occasionally looked at her daughter who was also not asleep. "Darling, why haven't you slept? Papa and Mama are you accompanying Tania here?"

Kania opened her eyes and looked at Tania who had not fallen asleep. Kania tilted her sleeping position and hugged the little girl. "Sleep, Mama hugged you. Mama's gonna sing for you." Kania then sang softly at the tip of the little girl's ear while patting her shoulders gently.

Kania hummed while closing her eyes. A smile about a child's longing for his mother. A smile that he often heard when he was a child.

Shortly thereafter, Tania fell asleep. Likewise with Kania who had fallen asleep while hugging the little girl. Arya is still awake. His eyes seemed reluctant to shut. Slowly, he looked at Kania who seemed to be fast asleep. The girl's face looks naturally beautiful. Not only that, his face looks plain with his long hair unraveling.

Arya then left the room and sat in the dining room accompanied by a cup of coffee. Since the death of his wife, Arya began to get used to staying up late to make him experience insomnia that is quite severe. He could only fall asleep overnight in two hours, and that was not necessarily because he woke up all of a sudden. And until morning, he won't fall asleep again.

Only a cup of coffee always accompanied him when his eyes were awake. Like this time, he sat down while occasionally sipping coffee he made himself. If he is awake, then all he does is look at his laptop and finish the office work that he has not finished doing.

Time is 02:00 in the morning. However, his eyes could not be compromised. Although the work is finished, but in fact his eyes have not been closed.

Inside the room, Kania slowly opened her eyes. He looked beside Tania just to confirm the whereabouts of Arya, but the man was no longer there. "Perhaps, she has already returned to her room," Inner Kania while rising from the bed.

Kania rushed out of the room and walked towards the dining room. His throat was so thirsty that it made him want to drink. The lights in the dining room were still on to make Kania curious.

At the dining table, Kania sees Arya who appears to be sipping a drink in her cup and it is the fifth cup. Four glasses of his used drink seemed to be just lying on the table.

Kania walked over to him. "Can't you sleep?" Kania stood at the side of the table while watching the four glasses. "What is all this you spend alone?" Kania looks surprised to make Arya smile.

"Why? Have you never seen anyone drink coffee?"

"It's not so, but it's not good for your health." Kania then took the four glasses and took them to the sink. The four glasses were washed. Seeing one glass that is still parked in front of Arya, the girl then took it and threw away the remaining coffee is still half.

"Hey, the glass is still there." Prevent Arya, but the girl doesn't care.

Shortly after, Kania returned with a glass of warm milk and placed in front of Arya. "From drinking coffee, it is better to drink this warm milk. I assure you, after drinking milk, you can definitely fall asleep." Kania then sat in a chair while sipping a glass of water until it ran out.

"After drinking milk, you should go straight to sleep. God gave us a night so we could rest instead of work. If you are sick, Tania will be sad. Take care of your health because there's still Tania who needs you." Kania then stood up and returned to the room and accompanied Tania to sleep.

Arya is like a magic to make it not warty. Kania's words stirred her heart. The glass containing the milk was then grabbed. Slowly, his memory returned. In the past, his wife often made him milk while he was still awake. And now, he again felt that atmosphere again, but not with his wife but with someone he had not known for a long time.

Not waiting long, Arya then sipped the milk that was still warm until it ran out. The laptop that was originally open is now closed. With a shunt step, Arya returned to her room and laid her body on the bed.

Arya closed her eyes and tried to sleep. Slowly, he began to feel a drowsiness that made him reluctant to open his eyes and soon enough, the man fell asleep.

I don't know what made him fall asleep that fast, but it was a long time ago he did not feel a good sleep.

At six o'clock in the morning, Kania was awake and was seen helping Bi Suri in the kitchen. Although it was forbidden to help, but the girl still helped Bi Suri even if it was just arranging dishes and glasses at the dining table.

"Tumben clock like this Mr Arya hasn't woken up yet?" ask Bi Suri.

"Maybe it's because of the soybeans I saw last night that he was working on his laptop." Kania answered innocently.

"If it is normal, because every night Mr. Arya sits at the dinner table while doing his work, but usually Mr. Arya this hour is ready even though from last night did not sleep. What don't-don't ... "

"Don't what, Bi Suri?" The middle-aged woman was shocked because her master was already standing behind her. The man looked good as he had to get ready for his office.

"It's nothing, sir." The woman then took a glass and coffee grounds and was about to make coffee for her employer. While Arya was already sitting at the dining table while watching Kania who was busy helping Bi Suri.

"Bi, don't make any more coffee."

"Can't, because every morning Mr. Arya has to drink coffee, otherwise the concentration can be lost."

"Then let me do it. Bi Suri prepare the others."

"Yes, that's it."

Kania then took honey and lime in the refrigerator and mixed into a glass and added warm water. Immediately, the drink was placed in front of Arya.

"What drink is this? Where's the coffee for me?"

"That drink won't kill you. Try to abandon your bad habit of always drinking coffee, because it is not good for your health if consumed in excess." Kania's words made Arya feel astonished to make her eyes widen.

"Hey, since when did you interfere with what I can and cannot eat? Quick, bring me some coffee."

Kania walked over to him. "Well, I'll give you some coffee, but I'd like to ask you a question. Did you sleep well last night?"

Arya is surprised and she admits it, if last night she could fall asleep and it was probably due to the influence of the milk Kania gave her. The man no longer refuted and looked at the glass of honey water and then gulped it.

A fresh taste suddenly seeped into his body after he drank a few sips of the drink Kania had given him. Immediately, the drink was consumed.

Kania smiled as she watched Arya finish her drink. While Arya no longer grunt and choose to see his phone that suddenly rings.

After receiving his call, Arya then got up and headed for the front door where two older people appeared who looked very appreciated. They are husband and wife or rather they are in-laws. Not only that, behind them looks a beautiful woman who turns out to be Rina.
