When the window of the room was completely open, I thought I could just run away, but in fact I forgot that my position was now on the 5th floor of a building. How could I possibly get out of here?
Glek .. I gulped with difficulty, in fact when I looked down there, my fear of heights became more dominant now.
"Oh my God, what am I supposed to do now?"
I'm confused about how much more I can be free? I'm trying to get help from Sharen, Ghania and Kayra. But can they help me?
Maybe they can't, but maybe the three of them have an idea that I can escape and get out of this place.
As I descended to the 4th floor, I immediately approached Ghania's room facing my door.
I tapped on her slowly, thankfully Ghania immediately responded.
"What's up, Elin?" The woman came out with a face that was still swollen, maybe just woke up or just did not sleep at all.
"I'm sorry I interrupted your break. There's something I want to ask you."
"What thing? Come in" he asked. Ghania pulled my hand to immediately enter her room.
"If you're talking outside, I'm afraid someone else is listening. The walls here can be eavesdropped so I have to take you in right away" Ghania explained, making me goosebumps.
"What do you need?" Ghania asked with a yawn at the end of her sentence.
"I want you to give me an idea."
"The idea?"
I'm nodding. "I want to get out of here. I believe you'll help me."
Ghania patted the back of my hand. "Elin, I want to help you. But getting out of here isn't easy. Moreover, you do not have access to enter and exit this building," he explained.
"You yourself? Can you get out of here?"
"Yes, just the last few months. And then they put a tracking device on my phone" he said.
"Why didn't you run away? You can throw that phone away, right? Don't you ever intend to run away too?" many ensure.
"Of course it ever was. But I'll be sure life's tough after that, because this casino's tangle is pretty big, Elin."
"Will no outsider help you? You have a communication device to call for help?"
"Alright, Elin. I've tried my best. My life is set here, so what can I do?"
I fell silent with Ghania's speech. Surely he also tried to escape but did not produce results. So, I'm not going to talk about it anymore.
"All right, then what about me? I want to keep trying to get out of this place. Before they put in a tracking device. Before I get any further here. You know, it's been two nights since I didn't work with the gamblers, but I was booked to accompany Mr. Gladwin to sleep."
"And you fell asleep while you slept with Mr. Gladwin, Elin." Ghania reminded.
I'm nibbling my lips. "Actually .. actually me and Mr. Gladwin just sleep and nothing more" I said bluntly.
"Just sleeping? Meanin?"
"Yes, sleep. Just sleeping without any activity."
Ghania was laughing right now. "Oh, Elin.. come on! Don't joke and make jokes. The news of you accompanying Mr. Gladwin is well known to all residents of this building. And again, making Gwen envious. So ... Don't joke by saying such absurd things. That's .. impossible."
"It sounds impossible, but the truth is. Me and Mr. Gladwin did nothing but sleep in the same bed." I made a quotation mark with a finger when I mentioned the word 'sleep'.
"Whoa, there seems to be a mistake here."
"Come, Whatever. Clearly, before I get any further, you have to help me get out of here. At least have an idea to give me a reference."
Ghania nodded, then seemed to think, it seemed like she was thinking about my wish and a plan that I asked for.
"Did Mr Gladwin treat you well?" tanyanya.
I'm nodding. "Yes, even though his attitude is very cold," I said.
Ghania was silent, then seemed to be tapping a finger in front of her own chin.
"Then, try asking Mr. Gladwin for help."
I'm aghast. "meaning?" ask me not to understand.
"Maybe, he's willing to help you out. Tell him about your problem. How did you get here. Ask for his help, as he is close to Mr. Aro. Maybe he has a solution."
"Is there no other idea? I was afraid that Mr. Gladwin would tell Mr. Aro about my desire to escape from here" I told Ghania.
"You should try it first, Elin."
"I'm not sure it will work, considering Mr. Gladwin is very cold. Don't you want to help me, just hear my story maybe she won't."
"That's up to you. I just have that idea. Ask her for help, but she's nice to you. And again ... try no harm."
"All right, I'll try. Thank you for giving me advice and ideas."
...***...
Although I know the idea that Ghania gave me was absurd. But I have to try. Not tonight because Mr. Gladwin told me he wouldn't come today.
And yes, he asked me for a leave of absence. Did Mr Gladwin tell Mr Aro this and the man agreed to my cut?
That didn't happen, Gwen knocked on my door at 7 p.m.
"From tomorrow, get out before I pick you up. You're not a new kid anymore. You should have understood the working hours here," said Gwen in front of my face.
That woman has never shown a friendly face since the first time I set foot in this place. Plus, twice I took his place which usually always accompanied Mr. Gladwin.
Mr. Gladwin's absence tonight, makes me have to work near gamblers, accompanying them like everyone else.
I guess I'll be placed back on the ground floor, in fact I was taken by Gwen to the 3rd floor.
Unlike on the 1st floor devoted to lower-class gamblers, reportedly on this floor the high-class gamblers were gathering.
Usually here are among officials, businessmen and there are also actors who have a hobby of spending large amounts of money for their satisfaction in gambling.
I was led by Gwen to a table full of fat men. Not all of them, but of the six people gathered at one table, four had distended stomachs. Their age might be on par with my late stepfather, but their gazes were disgusting to me. They looked at me with a naughty grin full of hunger.
"Hi, Gwen ..." One of the men, who apparently knew Gwen, greeted the woman.
"Hi, Mr. Joan."
"You're getting prettier, Gwen," said the other old man. Seemed very flirtatious, he rolled his eyes towards Gwen.
"Thank you, Mr. Donald."
"Who is he, Gwen?"
They started asking for my presence there. I can only put my face in deep.
"He's a new guy. Still fresh. Her name is Medeline."
"Hallo, Medeline?" The most flirtatious looking man greeted me first.
I didn't say, I was trembling in fear.
"All right, I'm staying you here Elin. Do your job well." Gwen smiled as she patted my shoulder.
I wanted to voice a protest, but I couldn't get my voice out. I want to scream now, let alone Gwen having a chance to whisper before actually leaving.
"Look, they're not gamblers like on the ground floor. They're classy, they can come in here with a lot of money so they're free to move you, Elin."
My eyes were round hearing the whisper from Gwen. My instincts had been thrashing eager to fight, until unconsciously my legs had moved to immediately dodge and leave from there.
"Medeline, where are you going?" A heavy voice belonging to the man Gwen called by the name of Joan, was heard calling out to me.
"Ehm, sorry, I-I--"
"Not to be ashamed, come here!" The other man, whom I did not know his name, interrupted immediately before I finished my sentence.
Mr. Joan came up to me, she forced me to come back to their table.
"How much would you pay for him? Who pays the highest, then he who is entitled to the company of Medeline gambles."
The sound of their laughter filled my eardrums, it turned out that before gambling they wanted to make me some sort of auction item that would be bid at the highest price.
Oh my God, what do I do now? Help me, Lord ...
