AS A SLEEPING FRIEND

AS A SLEEPING FRIEND
22. Depends on you (Author POV)

Elin was not able to keep her mother in one room, because the mother still had to be placed in the ICU. However, he could see the condition of his mother from another room where there was a barrier to make Elin able to monitor and pay attention to the condition of his mother from a distance that was not too far away.

"Mom, why did God bring me to Javier's sister again, Mom? She remembers me as a mother's daughter, but I never remember her." Elin spoke while looking at her mother from the front of the glass, as if she was chatting with her.

"... Today, I just found out if it turns out we've known in the past. Javier's brother didn't tell me in the first place when he recognized me from the first moment he met me at Mr. Aro's place" Elin murmured later.

For some reason, Elin felt like a stupid girl in front of Javier just because he could not remember the man, but forgetting the past was not his desire.

"I like it, Mom. But now I realize that my feelings cannot be reciprocated, because I realize that I am not his type. Now, after knowing this fact .. I also understand that there are so many gaps between us."

Elin took a deep breath, stroking the glass as if she were touching her mother.

"Of course Javier refused me, ma'am. I'm just the son of an ex-servant in his big mansion."

Elin also rubbed his tears that fell on the cheek, a sense of inferiority appeared in his heart after knowing this reality.

"While that's the case, it doesn't mean I'm ashamed of being a mother's child. But, this was enough to make me realize that I shouldn't have expected it. From the beginning, I should have been self-aware, even she found me in that haraam place. Yeah, right, Mom?"

Elin knows, he shouldn't like Javier. He who does not know himself, has been released from the gambling place even likes the Master who he should respect.

"I'll try to forget it, Mom."

...****...

On the other hand, Javier who did not contact Jack to replace him, waiting in front of the room where Elin was. Elin doesn't know he's there, because Javier didn't say he'd take care of Elin directly.

Javier himself doesn't know why he's doing this. He just follows his own instincts. Either because he's tied to Aunt Arbei's promise, or it's because he doesn't want Jack to come back to look after Elin and make them meet again.

"Why am I acting this way? Shouldn't I let it go?" muttered Javier, he smiled wryly for his own conduct.

"Maybe because I promised Aunt Arbei. Yeah, I'm doing this because of my promise, not because I don't like Jack and Elin getting close."

"What if they're close? Huh uh? I don't have to care." Javier tried to refute his dislike.

Javier also chose to sit in the waiting chair while folding his hands on his chest. His head rests on a chair made of iron. It's uncomfortable, but he can't possibly move on from that place because Elin is in the room in front of him.

The night was getting late and made Javier close his eyes because he felt very sleepy. It could be said, all day he did not work, because he accompanied Elin to the Hospital. But somehow he felt very tired.

In such circumstances, Javier still can not sleep. He needs to sleep now but either because of uncomfortable circumstances or because of the absence of Elin on his side makes Javier difficult to fall asleep.

"I can't sleep without him" muttered Javier, each time he closed his eyes shadows about the trauma of his past back in the memory of his head, making him reluctant to fall asleep.

Just then, Javier got up and headed for the door of the room where Elin was.

Clamps. Javier pressed the door handle and almost everyone's eyes were on him. Obviously, who in the middle of the night wants to go into a special waiting room for the family of the ICU-treated patient.

Javier nodded reluctantly, then his eyes searched for the figure he wanted to meet. Elins.

Javier sees Elin standing in the corner. The girl was not asleep either. Looks like Elin is still watching the mother from the glass barrier there.

"City ..."

The tiny body seemed to gasp, then turned its head right then and there. Elin flinches because she finds Javier behind her.

"Why is my brother here? Where's Jack?"

"Jack can't keep you company." Javier said slowly.

"So, why is that brother here? If there's no Jack, there's more, right?"

Javier stood in line with Elin's position, he turned his head to the side until they both looked at each other.

"Do you mind if I'm the one here? I thought I made a promise to Aunt Arbei and now I'm keeping my promise by taking care of you."

Elin's lips were faint, she looked at Javier's serious face as she said that. Though only a few minutes ago he was determined to forget Javier but now his feeling again shouted that he really liked the man in front of him just because of the seriousness of Javier when talking and looking at him. Javier's gaze melted his heart.

"Go, Brother." Elin threw away her face, not strong if she had to continue to engage in eye contact with the man. "I can take care of myself" he said.

Javier shakes. "If you're running from our deal, how about it?" tanyakanya.

"Where might I run away, my mom's even here and you know it."

"You can refer Aunt Arbei to another hospital." Javier sniffs his shoulders indifferently, acting as if afraid Elin ran away from their deal where Elin was still his bedmate.

Elin smiled smirkily. "Someone who is weak like me, it's impossible to do such reckless actions when my life has even been hanging on to you" he said realistically.

"You? Hanging your life on me?" javier asked, not believing Elin's words.

"Yes, I live with you. Even my mother's medical expenses are from you. Then, where can I escape if not to your side, brother?"

Elin desperately held back her tears. Everything he said was true, right? His life depended on this man. Not just his life, but his heart. If Javier had broken it then he resigned to be the man's slave instead of having to go and hang around in the streets aimlessly.

"You humbled yourself in front of me, Elin. You know I don't like this."

"But that's the truth, brother. I can't live without your help."

"And now, I can't sleep without you either. We need each other, at least for now, Elin!"

Elin was silent again. Javier's remarks made him realize that at this time not only he is dependent on the man, but Javier was still dependent on him even though somehow until when.

"So ... Now you're sleepy and want to sleep?" elin asked after a moment of silence was created between them.

Javier nodded his head.

"We slept in the nearest hotel. How's it?"

...Seriate......
