25. Investigate further (Author POV)

After putting things in order and getting ready, Elin and Javier check out of the Hotel and return to the Hospital.

"City ..."

A call, made Elin face and found a middle-aged woman who was still beautiful at a young age. She is Elara, Javier's mother.

"You really grew up to be a pretty girl, Elin." Elara stroked Elin's face which still looked puzzled as she did not remember who the woman was.

"This is my mother, Elin." Javier finally made his voice and it was there that Elin realized who was talking to him at the moment.

"Thank you, sorry I don't remember you, Madam." Elin smiled.

Elara shared her gentle smile. "It's okay, honey. Aunty has heard everything from Javier," he said understandingly.

"Will the lady visit my mother?"

"Elin ..." reproves Elara. "Don't call me that, please" she asked.

Elin lowered her head, until Elara laughed at him.

"Call me as aunt."

And Javier just kept quiet about the interaction between the two women of different ages.

"Did I call the Madam aunty too?" elin asked to be sure, he was afraid if he went back past his limits.

"Yes, because you've been like a child to me for so long. If you need to call me mother," said Elara looking serious.

"I can't possibly do it, Auntie," replied Elin who ended up speaking non-formally.

Elara laughed now. "That's fine, you can call me mom if you want to marry Javier" she said with a laugh at the end of the line.

"Bu .." scolds Javier, he doesn't like his mother talking that way.

While Elin looked clumsy because of the discussion discussed by Javier's biological mother.

"Sister Javier doesn't like me, Bi, so he can't possibly marry me" Elin said in her heart.

Elin was also surprised because it turns out that Javier's mother did not mind the social gap between them, instead the graceful and unpretentious woman looked very fond of Elin. I don't know.

"I'd better see Aunt Arbei soon. He's still in the ICU, we'll just wait in front of his room, ma'am." Javier spoke while looking at his mother, in that gaze Elara knew that Javier wanted to avoid this discussion.

Not wanting to argue with her son, Elara nodded and then they began to walk towards the location of the room where Elin's mother was cared for.

"Mom come in first. You guys just stay here."

Elin nodded followed by Javier who performed a similar action. The two sat in the waiting chair there.

Actually, Elin still feels very awkward if you remember what happened between her and Javier this morning in the hotel room, but seeing Javier's attitude like nothing happened made Elin join trying to behave normally.

"You're not working, brother?" ask Elin at last.

"I'll be at the office later."

"You made Jack bother because he had to do your job" Elin muttered and it was still heard in Javier's ear.

"What did you say?" javier asked, not knowing. He laughed at a glance. "Listen Elin, Jack is my assistant and his job is to replace me, so don't worry too much about him" Javier said. He doesn't like it if Elin seems to think about Jack again. What happened between them this morning still couldn't make Elin forget her assistant?

"Sorry, I'm too meddling," said Elin sniffing her shoulder.

Javier just grunted softly to hear it. In the eyes of Elin, Javier was not happy because of his words that seemed to interfere with Javier's work affairs. But in the eyes of Javier, he was not angry because of it but because Elin again brought Jack's name in the middle of their conversation.

Elara looked at Arbei's state of apprehension. The woman's eyes sometimes close and then open for only a few moments.

"Arbei, it's Elara. Do you remember me? I'm sorry I just came to see you."

Arbei tried to focus on staring with difficulty, he realized that the one who visited him at this time was his former employer.

"Mrs-missies?"

Elara pegged a smile at Arbei who still remembered her.

"I didn't know you were so sick. I'm sorry ya."

Arbei looked faintly nodding. "Thank you, ma'am," he said sounding exhausted.

After finding out if Javier meets Elin again, and hearing that Elin does not recognize her son, Elara tries to find out what happened and had happened to Arbei and his daughter, Elin.

After getting the information he wanted to know, now Elara already knows the problem.

In the past, exactly about 20 years ago, Arbei claimed to be pregnant because of his lover. At that time, Arbei was still working as a waitress at the Gladwin residence, the big name of Javier's family.

Arbei, who was pregnant without a husband, was still accepted by the family considering the kindness and devotion of Arbei while working there. However, the most unfortunate thing by Elara at that time was that she did not find out who the man who became her servant's lover because at that time she considered that it was Arbei's personal business.

But now, after he found out everything about Arbei and Elin, he began to know one thing that Arbei used to be related to the husband of others who finally did not want to be responsible for the woman's pregnancy.

What Elara just found out is that the innocent Arbei never knew if the man she was dating was the husband of people, until finally Arbei raised Elin himself as a single mother while being a servant in his residence.

A few years later, Arbei resigned from Elara's residence on the grounds that she would move to another city to follow her future husband. Yes, she said she would marry a widower - whom Elara now knows only if he was the same man as her former lover, Demian. He is Elin's biological father.

"I just found out if you married Demian after she became a widower," the inner Elara who could not possibly express it during Arbei's current condition.

Elara concludes that Arbei really loves the man, and eventually returns to Demian's side after he becomes a widower.

Demian is Liam's father, so Arbei and Demian get married with their own children.

So, actually Elin and Liam are one father, but they are different mothers.

Liam knew about it, and that was also what made Liam hate Arbei and Elin so much because he thought that Arbei was a thorn in the household of his parents.

In fact, Arbei was once fooled by Demian and did not know if the man was married.

When I found out, everything was done. Arbei is pregnant. However, he did not force Demian to take responsibility. Until they did not continue the relationship even though Arbei was pregnant with Elin in his womb.

Years pass, they are back together after Demian's first wife is really dead.

But in the eyes of Liam, Arbei was still a ja-lang woman who peddled the body to her late father.

"I hope you recover soon, Arbei." Elara forgot her thoughts about the servant's past. Now he must help Arbei to get excited to live again, after Demian left forever.

Elara did not expect that Arbei would experience this severe pain, but after investigating further, Elara became suspicious of Liam who was the mastermind of it all. I don't know, Elara hasn't found any accurate evidence regarding her suspicions.

After having a warm conversation with each other, Elara came out of the treatment room where Arbei was weak. In his heart, he was a little sad about what happened to Arbei and Elin.

Ah yes, Elara also already knows that Javier found Elin in one of the gambling places where Elin was sold by Liam there.

"Auntie doesn't want you to be like your mother, Elin. Auntie wants you to live better because you've suffered too much all this time" Elara said in her heart. He was afraid that Elin would fall for the wrong guy like the once very innocent young Arbei. Moreover, Elara can see if Elin grows up to be a very beautiful girl.

"Mother?" Javier approached Elara who looked pecked in front of the room the woman had just entered.

"Ehm, huh?" Elara looked at her son and smiled. "Where's Elin?" tanyanya.

"He's in the toilet" Javier replied. "How's Aunt Arbei doing, Mom?" tanyakanya.

Elara nodded weakly. "Javier, I want to talk to you after this" he said.

"Regard what?"

"On Elin."

"What's wrong with her, Mom?" ask Javier again.

"Mother is very concerned about Elin's life. She was stranded without her mother, to the point of physical torture from her brother. Do you know anything about that? I also know you found him in a casino."

Javier is silent on the statement of the mother, he believes his mother has found out about this more and more details.

"Then?" javier asked acting indifferent.

"Mom doesn't want Elin to fall for the wrong guy, Jav. I don't want Elin to get hurt. I want her to be with the right people."

"He'll be safe with me, ma'am," Javier replied confidently.

"No" protested Elara. "He won't be safe with you because I'm afraid it's you who hurt him later" he said, staring into the son's eyes.
