30. Still have me (Author POV)

After delivering Cassie to the family's Mansion, Javier chose to go straight back to the Hospital.

Arriving there, he sees only Elin and Carla, without Jack.

Javier did not immediately say hello to Elin, he just sat in an empty chair that was right on Elin's left.

Seeing that, Carla instantly walked away after previously bowing respectfully to the man.

Elin had also seen Javier's presence, but she ignored him as if he wasn't there. Elin reluctantly greets Javier first because he is still upset at the man.

"I heard Aunt Arbei drop again?" Javier started the conversation without looking at Elin next to him.

"Are you staying here tonight?"

"Yes, it seems so. I can't leave my mother."

"All right," said Javier. The man got up without preventing Elin's wishes even though he didn't know he could sleep without Elin or not tonight. Javier doesn't want to be selfish, but Arbei also needs Elin there.

"I'm going home to the apartment. Let me know your mother's health development" Javier said, acting indifferent.

Elin just nodded at the speech Javier gave. He also did not intend to prohibit anything the man wanted to do because Elin knew it was not his right.

Both of them are in a cold war. Javier with jealousy that he did not realize, and Elin because of his frustration at seeing Javier with other women.

Javier almost left the corridor of the waiting room, when Elin voiced her curiosity.

"Would you be accompanied by a woman tonight?"

Elin's question managed to make Javier's steps stop, but he did not look back to look at Elin there.

At that moment, Elin again realized that the question passed through Javier's personal realm.

"Uhm, sorry .. I know it's none of my business, so forget it," the girl said later.

Javier's still hanging in his place. Again Cassie's accusation that there is love and jealousy in her eyes makes her think hard. Plus Elin's question seems to be suspecting her relationship with Cassie.

"It's none of your business, but if you really want to know it then I'll answer it" Javier said.

Elin gasped for the man's cold speech, until she finally had to feel pain as Javier continued his sentence.

"Yes, tonight I will spend the night with Cassie," Javier continued to make Elin's heart like in a strong remass.

Javier does not want only himself to feel upset about seeing Elin with Jack, so he made the lie so that Elin also felt what he felt. Though without Javier know, since the beginning Elin was already upset with him to bring Jack to avenge Javier's behavior.

Elin was speechless now, she could only stare at Javier's back who was slowly walking away.

Elin felt his heart ache, because in the end he knew that Javier made it like a backup when the man needed it.

"She only chose me when her lover was not around. Now that she's forgotten about me and doesn't need me because her lover is here," Elin's inner self is in great pain.

Arbei's health condition declined drastically, but a few days ago he had started to improve and his development began to stabilize. The health team has also started talking about moving Arbei to a regular treatment room.

This certainly made Elin very surprised when the doctor again said that his mother was in a critical condition.

At that moment, Elin was immediately taken to the treatment room due to unconsciousness.

Javier came to the hospital in a hurry. The sound of his footsteps seemed to fill that silent passageway.

Javier arrives when it is very early, he hears that Arbei has no news of Elin passing out.

"Where is he?" javier asked when he saw Carla standing in front of the treatment room.

Carla knew that Javier meant Elin, so the woman immediately pointed to the room behind him.

"Ms, Elin is inside, sir."

Javier thundered down the door handle and entered the room where Elin was.

As Javier walked in, Elin's gaze was also instantly fixed on the man.

"Elin?"

"Sister?"

Their voices are almost at the same time. Javier immediately sat on the edge of the hospital bed that Elin occupied then without the ba-bi-bu he grabbed the skinny body of the girl.

"My mom is gone, brother!" Elin sobbed in Javier's arms. The man nodded in his position while stroking Elin's trembling back.

"I don't have anyone anymore, brother!" look at Elin then.

Javier shook his head, he broke his embrace a little then cupped Elin's face with both fingers while staring fixedly into the girl's netra.

"Listen to me, don't say that, you still have me" said Javier, trying to calm the girl.

Elin did not reply, he responded to Javier's words with a firmer cry. Javier hugged Elin tightly. He was also shocked and struck by the news of Arbei's death.

"Do you want to stay here?" ask Javier then. Javier hears from Carla that Elin does not want to see her mother's body because she feels unable to.

"I can't, Brother!"

"So you're really gonna stay here? Don't you want to see your mother one last time?"

Elin shook her head, crying hysterically again.

"Go, Elin. Look and give your late mother a last salute. You'll regret it if you don't" Javier said.

Elin was silent, she threw a glance at the window of the room that showed the view of Hamburg. His thoughts and feelings were raging.

"Come, I'll accompany you" Javier again. He tried to persuade the girl but Elin still did not flinch at all.
