With a shunt move, Javier returns to Elin's treatment room.
Arriving there, the man looked at the pale face of Elin who was still asleep due to the effects of the drug given by the doctor shortly before Javier left her earlier.
Javier's breath felt heavy, rubbing his own face rough, then grabbed Elin's fingers for him to hold.
"I know you shouldn't have come back into my life this way. As I promised, I will release you even if it will hurt you because that is our initial agreement" he said with a heavy heart.
Javier does not know why everything feels heavy, he also remembers if on the one hand he had a promise to the late mother Elin to take care of the girl.
"But I will make sure that, after we part, you will remain in my care" he murmured softly.
Javier yawns, drowsiness begins to attack him and enough slumber-lipped bed-in which Elin lies-is enough for him to get peace in sleep.
...****...
Javier felt the movement and instantly Javier woke up with an upright body to realize the situation.
"Elin, are you okay?" javier asked Elin because the girl was crying again with a trembling body.
"Don't cry anymore. I told you I was here," he said later.
Elin did not reply, the girl did seem to have been quiet since her mother's death yesterday. Elin was only seen crying occasionally and daydreaming with a blank look.
"You want to stay here? You have to get back to health because I don't want us to stay overnight in the hospital" Javier said.
Elin wiped out the rough of her own tears. "We?" the tanyanya refers to the word Javier. It was the first word Elin responded to Javier's speech.
"Yes. We're. Is there something wrong with that?"
"You don't have to bother accompanying me here, brother."
"Why?" javier Lirih.
"I can do it myself" replied Elin, throwing her gaze out the window.
Javier took a short breath. "I can't, Elin," she admitted.
Elin laughed softly, sounding discordant and incisive. "You should be able to, brother!" press it.
"Yes. But I can't do it right now."
"So, when will you be?" ask Elin who is now facing Javier with a sharp highlight.
"Until I recover," said Javier steadily.
"When are you healed? A month? Two more months? Or a year?"
"I don't know, Elin. We'll just go like this."
"I want clarity, brother. So that I can prepare myself when I can get out of your life!" beat Elin with a trembling voice.
Actually, Elin's words really slapped Javier. It's painful. Where Elin seemed determined to immediately leave his life. It seems very urgent that Javier recover soon and do not need it anymore.
"May I know why you're so adamant like this. Do you really want to get away from me?"
Elin did not answer, knowing that his heart was against his will but he also had to be able to live without Javier because sooner or later Javier would set him free. Although Elin's heart really wants Javier to continue with him but the reality is they have to follow the initial agreement they have agreed.
"Take me, Elin! Didn't you say that you have no one in the world now?"
"That's the truth" said Elin.
"Why would I wish to have you if someday you would leave me, Brother!" Elin's eyes looked teary again as she pulled out that sentence.
Javier speechless. Elin's words were right. Why would he instill a sense of belonging in the girl if in the end they had to separate. Not only because of the deal but also because Javier who has given a similar decision to his father. Will leave Elin without hurting her.
So, how should it be at the moment? Should he break all those deals also draw his words back to the father?
But, for what? Why would Javier do all that? Is it just for Elin? Butwhy?
"I've said before that I like you, brother. So, the longer we are together I'm afraid my feelings are getting bigger, brother. For that reason, I want to immediately end this so that my feelings do not get more protracted to you."
Elin looked at Javier with her sincere gaze, which was why Javier couldn't bear to not bring the girl into his arms.
"I don't want to depend on you anymore, brother. I don't want to!" elin complained while sobbing.
Javier shook his head in his arms. He does not want Elin to do that, he wants Elin to stay dependent on him, he wants Elin to continue to feel he has it. He's not ready if Elin ends this immediately. Either because of his sense of dependence or because of other feelings that grow in his heart.
"Don't. Don't take it all away" Javier finally said.
"You're saying this because you still need me, right, brother?" elin asked still in the man's arms.
"Once again, forget about my needs but for now don't think about ending them." Javier's embrace is getting tight, even Elin feels very tight now.
"Take me off, brother. You hugged me too tightly," protested Elin at last.
Javier regained consciousness and spontaneously broke his embrace on Elin's body.
They look at each other. There is a fear of losing each other.
"Elin?"
"Hmm?"
"If I suddenly ask you to get married, do you want to accept it?"
Elin's eyelids immediately opened wide to Javier's statement. He did not even want to blink for fear that this was just his hallucination. For whatever reason, he never thought Javier would say that.
"Why is your word suddenly strange, brother?" That's what Elin said in response to Javier's earlier speech.
"I don't know" Javier admitted. "But I think this is the way out."
"Road out, you mean?" Elin looked confused.
"Daddy and my mom asked me to marry you, and-"
"Ah, so this is because of your parents' request?" elin asked with a bitter smile.
"Half because of that, and the other half because I still need you. I don't know until when I keep this up, nor can I be sure when I'm cured."
Elin held back her tears now.
"... you also have no one, I want you to depend on me. Isn't marriage the way out?"
Elin shook his head faintly. He did not expect Javier to invite her to marry but he was more unexpected if Javier's reason because of his parents and needs alone. Didn't Javier think of the feeling of Elin clearly saying she liked him?
"If I'm cured, and you want to be free of me, it doesn't matter to Elin. We can agree to it again later. But the important thing now is that we stick together because if I don't marry you, Daddy will ask me to let you go as soon as possible and I can't do that anytime soon."
