With a heavy heart, Elin finally walked to the supermarket because of her stomach demands that had been revolted due to hunger. This afternoon Elin had missed her meal because she was busy cleaning the house she rented, so tonight she really had to fill her stomach for her own health.
Elin just shopped for some groceries, then came out of the supermarket she visited.
Imagine having to pass the house that was throwing a party, and the possibility of meeting again with a drunk man who had made Elin's guts shriek, but inevitably he had to pass through.
Elin threw away her fear, she did not need to feel that way when her own fate was much more terrible.
"Well, you can do it, Elin," whispered Elin's heart to herself.
Elin took a deep breath and walked slowly through block by block towards the direction of her rental house.
When Elin returned across the house frenetic because of the party, he suddenly worried but tried to walk calmly. Elin was afraid that someone would ambush him there, thankfully he arrived home with nothing less.
"It's not even a day yet, I still have to go through that street every day" grumbled Elin as she closed and did not forget to lock the door of her residence.
Elin opened her shopping paper and started eating the sandwich she bought.
"Hold, Elin. Until you find a more decent place to live." Elin could only encourage herself.
While there, Javier has obtained information from Jack about Elin's whereabouts. With his jaw hardened, he held back his frustration when he found out where Elin lived.
"You're sure he's there?" ask Javier about Jack.
"Yes, Sir."
"But this place is prone to crime" said Javier, who still does not believe everything Elin chose.
Javier is forced to let it go just to respect Elin's decision. But Javier desperately hopes Elin returns to him, even if it's just asking for his help to give him a more decent place to stay.
"Do I have to pick him up and bring him back, sir?" ask Jack who's back wants to make sure Javier wants.
"No. Leave him with his choice. I want to know how long he's been with all this" Javier replied, which Jack immediately understood.
"Hmm, Jack. One more..."
The assistant turned his head back as Javier spoke again.
"Supervise Liam's movements. I don't want him to know Elin's whereabouts because he'll definitely take advantage of her."
"Yes, sir."
...****...
Elin entered several cafes and restaurants that were not too far from where she currently lived. He applied for a part-time job there and hoped some of those places would accept him. Elin will take 3 workplaces at once if the time he can adjust and not clash.
One restaurant accepted it, a small success for Elin and thanked him very much. The restaurant operated until nightfall, but Elin wished she was placed part-time so she could find another job.
"You're accepted. When can you start working?"
"Tomorrow" replied Elin semringah.
"Alright, please come here tomorrow. You'll be on the morning schedule. 8 To 2 pm."
"Oh, thank you."
"Welcome to join, I hope you can work well together, Ms. Medeline."
"Well, call me Elin."
"Okay, Elin."
Elin exited the area a few dozen minutes later. His face looked excited and lively. I can't wait for tomorrow and it will work soon.
Now, Elin's goal is to go to another store that can receive her in the afternoon to evening hours. Elin will try and work hard to support herself. He thinks it'll work.
"You don't have any work experience at all?" A man with a fat body conducts an interview session for Elin at a store that sells sports equipment.
"Well, I don't have one yet, I've only worked part-time to sell magazines and newspapers on the street, '" Elin admitted frankly and for what it is.
The fat man was impressed by Elin's innocence. He wanted to give Elin a chance to work.
"So, when can you start this job?"
"alright. Start working hard. Don't you mind working in the morning?"
"Uhm, actually ..." Elin seemed hesitant, but he had to express his work time match with the restaurant that had also received him as a waiter. "... I just got accepted as a waitress at Restaurant X, if I may, can I work here from late afternoon to evening?" tanyanya.
The man looked thinking. "So you've been working at the restaurant? If so, sorry I can't hire you here" he said with a face full of regret.
"Why?" lirih Elin's. He was very happy to get two jobs at once in just one day.
"I need a worker for full time. I thought you could work here from 10am to 5pm."
"I've already received a job at the restaurant."
"Then I'm sorry, you can't fill the job opening."
Elin finally left that place. He knew it would not be as easy as he imagined. But, getting one job alone was more than enough for Elin. Actually Elin wants to work in two or three places at once because he wants to raise money, Elin has a desire to enter the university world.
"Is my expectation too high?" mumbling Elin. He kicked a can of soft drink that splashed on the street. "Ah, who cares about my expectations," he said and stared if the can he had just kicked hit someone.
"Arm!!" Someone was screeching.
Elin is a rage. "Death to me" he wrote to himself. "That's me," he said later. Elin intended to run away but the person who was hit by the soft drink can actually shouted at him.
"Hey, you!"
Elin died a flea, the man even approached her.
"Ups!" Elin put up a grin. "Sorry, I didn't accidentally," he said with a regretful face.
The man who looked very young was initially angry, but seeing Elin's cute face, he did not take out his vow of absorption.
"If I hadn't yelled at you, you would have run away, right?" he told Elin.
Not evasively, Elin nodded.
"One more time, I'm sorry. My life is unlucky" Elin said, brandishing two fingers to form the letter V.
"Yes, life is not always lucky. Therefore, if you want me not to raise this thing, then get acquainted with me."
Elin blinked, but a second later she understood what this man wanted. Elin rolled her eyeballs, the man chuckled precisely because of the attitude Elin showed.
"I'm serious, if you don't want to then I'll make this bigger. You have two mistakes. The first one is that you throw garbage carelessly and it's clearly prohibited, the second one is that you made that trash can hit my temple. Would you take a look? It will definitely leave a scar," he said at length.
Elin let out a rough breath. "That's not my trash" he said trying to defend himself.
"But it's still because of you, right?" The man pointed at his temple which indeed looked slightly scratched.
"alright. I'm Elin." Elin extended her hand to the young man.
The man smiled and immediately welcomed Elin's hand. "Nathan," he said later.
"Even, right?"
"It." Nathan smiled with satisfaction.
"All right, I'll be right away."
"Aren't you going to take responsibility for the wound on my temple?"
"I think with us the acquaintance was already a form of my responsibility," said Elin who is now nyolot.
Nathan gave a smile, he was happy to see Elin's outspoken attitude.
"It's okay, sorry if my words upset you. As my sincere apology, how about I buy you a drink?" he said he was still trying to get close to Elin.
Elin shook his head faintly. "It looks like you've done this to a lot of girls" he said.
"Not really. Only to the girl who caught my attention," Nathan replied with a smile that did not recede.
