27. Trust me (Author POV)

"I'm scared, Brother." Elin grieves, complaining of all her anxiety when Liam suddenly comes to the Hospital and accidentally meets her. Or is this what Liam is planning? I don't know.

"Quiet, ok? We'll talk about this somewhere else." Javier still hugged Elin while stroking her hair in a regular rhythm.

A second later, his eyes pointed at Carla as if to code the tomboy woman.

"Wait here, I'll talk to Carla for a second."

"But, Brother?"

"It's okay, Elin. Just for a moment," said Javier calmed the girl who still looked shocked.

Carla approached Javier who was waiting for her on the other side and it was not too far from Elin's position. Javier gives Carla a message to look after and monitor Arbei's condition as he will bring Elin to calm the girl down. Javier also told me about Liam.

"You remember her brother Elin's face, don't you?"

And Carla nodded, she was quite adept and meticulous when it came to observing someone.

"If he goes back to the hospital, call me right away."

"Good sir."

"If you can, you're also preventing her from seeing Elin's mother because I'm afraid she has other goals,"

"I'll do it" Carla replied later.

Javier returns to Elin's side, grabs the girl's shoulder and takes her out of the Hospital area.

"I want you to tell me what your sister did until you didn't stop crying like this."

Elin looked at Javier with her sad face. Not long, the man took Elin into his car.

On the way, there is only silence. Javier will question Elin again when they arrive at their destination.

"Are we going to stay at the hotel again?" elin asked open the conversation. His face still looked grim, but his tears were no longer flowing, he had stopped crying completely and looked calmer than before.

"No, we go back to the apartment."

"But mother-"

"Carla took care of him" Javier cut off right then and there.

The car stopped at a red light and Javier used it to glance at Elin once again.

"You okay?"

"Huum, I'm fine now," replied Elin quietly, more like a mutter but Javier heard it.

"You'd be better off at home."

"What house does brother mean? Do I still have a home" said Elin accompanied by her slick smile.

Javier was stunned, he was quite filled with this reality.

"My apartment is your home, Elin."

"Whoa, since when?"

"I think you think it's because it's where he's been for the past month" Javier replied as he was.

Elin smiled wryly, I don't know what she had in mind. Javier never knew if for Elin Apartmen that Javier provided for him he did not consider as home. He lived there, but it was more like a prison that held him in it. Although lately Javier has given him access to get in and out of there but Elin always felt like Javier's prisoner because the man never trusted Elin to travel alone.

"We're here" Javier chirped as he arrived at his basement apartment.

Elin opened the seatbelt, then was about to open the door when it turned out that the door had been opened by Javier first from the outside.

"Thank," said Elin briefly. They walk hand in hand with Javier who occasionally glances at Elin well seems a lot silent.

Arriving at their residence which is directly connected to the elevator, the two entered and threw themselves on the living room sofa with a side by side position.

"Tell me what Liam did to you." Javier started everything he had wanted to ask Elin but he kept him in custody just because of their position at the Hospital.

"She said she's been looking for me everywhere."

"Why is he looking for you again?"

"He's glad I made it out of Mr. Aro's casino."

Javier laughed heartily. "Happy? Why should he be happy, isn't he selling you there?" tanyanya sarcasm.

"Well, he's made money selling me there and now I'm free so he feels he can sell me somewhere else."

Elin nodded. His eyes are back watering. "Because to him, I was just an item he could sell here and there" he said in a heavy voice.

"Didn't you tell me you're with me now?"

"I'm too afraid to carry your name around in my personal matters with Liam."

Elin never knew if Javier and Liam knew each other, but Javier did not like when Elin was bullied by Liam and the girl did not have the power to fight him. If Javier had been there when Liam came, he would have said that now Elin was his. It was he who had redeemed Elin from Aro's casino. But, speaking of that, did Aro tell Liam that Javier made up for Elin in his place?

"Didn't he say my name or ask who redeemed you until you could escape from Aro's casino?" ask Javier finally.

Elin did not answer in a voice, she simply shook her head and her tears flowed back.

"Is he threatening you?" guess Javier then.

And Elin covered her face with both palms signifying Javier's guess was right, Liam had already threatened her.

"What did he tell you?"

Elin shook her head. Still with his hands smothering his own face, he seemed reluctant to look at Javier.

"Say, what did he say to threaten you!" javier urged.

"He asked me to come home tomorrow. Or else, he will do recklessly to endanger the life of the mother," Elin replied insubstantly.

Javier's eyes are perfectly rounded, Liam's crime of intimidating Elin infuriated him.

"And you're gonna do the asking? He'll sell you again!"Javier snorted as he rubbed his own face rough.

"Of course I won't do it, brother!"

"Why?"

"Because I'm still in a deal with you!"

Javier smiles on his side, but he prefers Elin against Liam for his own bravery not because of their agreement. But this is better at least Elin has already rejected Liam's request.

"... she was angry when I refused her request, and she wanted to hit me earlier, but Carla managed to prevent it before she did."

Javier breathed a sigh of relief to hear Elin's explanation because if Liam dared to touch Elin then Javier did not hesitate to finish him tonight as well.

"I'll take care of everything. About Liam, too, about your mother. Everything's gonna be okay."

"What are you planning, brother?"

"You believe me, don't you? So, relax..."

Elin cried with a glare towards Javier.

"I believe you, brother. You're my only support right now. Even if you end up pushing me down a cliff, what can I do?" elin replied in a tone full of irony.

Just this time Javier saw Elin was so frustrated, that the circumstances made him want to calm the girl again.

Javier touches Elin's cheek making the girl's eyes point at him.

"You and your mother will be safe, Liam will never mess with you again. You can trust me all and I won't push you to the brink. Trust me, okay?"

Elin nodded in her locked eyes. The girl seemed to be hypnotized by Javier's words so that she could not refuse all his treatment.

Javier rubbed the remains of tears on Elin's cheek with his thumb, then smiled gently in front of the girl's face.

"Your mother is safe with Carla. So don't think about it too much."

Elin nodded once more in the same state, unable to say anything when Javier's face was as close to his as it is today.

"You want a natural sedative?"

Elin raised her eyebrows when Javier said the sentence, but then she knew what Javier meant by 'sedative' when the man's lips had landed on Elin's supple lips.

"Your lips are sweet, Elin."

Once again Elin was speechless, because Javier laid her on the sofa and the man was on top of her.

"How about we continue the pending matter this morning?" javier whispered in the ear of Elin made Elin's whole body flowed with a sense of heat.
