41. Sweetest moment (Author POV)

Elin sighed, trying to neutralize her heartbeat that felt like it was beating faster than usual.

How not, now Elin is in front of the Gladwin family mansion accompanied by Javier by his side. The man's hand clasped tightly onto Elin's fingers as if giving her strength.

Elin looked at Javier for a moment as the man questioned him.

"Are you ready?"

Finally Elin nodded, and Javier took her into his extended family residence.

Their arrival was immediately welcomed by Javier's parents who had been waiting for both.

"How are you, Elin?" Elara put on a smile, hugged Elin and kissed the girl's cheeks left and right.

"I'm good, Auntie." Elin reviews the smile then greets Shane who also smiles at him there.

"Alright, Jav. Let's start the dinner right away so we can discuss something more serious" Shane told his son.

Javier nodded, holding Elin's waist up to the dining table and not forgetting to pull the chair for the girl.

"Thank you" Elin told Javier.

Javier nodded faintly then sat right next to Elin.

Everyone eats in a quiet and solemn atmosphere.

When the dinner was over, they finally gathered in the living room to discuss the main topic that brought Elin and Javier to the residence of his parents.

"I'll marry Elin, Dad ... Ma'am," said Javier starting with his to the point.

Javier thinned his lips then nodded his head.

Rain suddenly hit Javier's face, the man turned to the sky as if he wanted to protest the situation because he still wanted to be with Elin there without going anywhere.

"It looks like it's going to rain, brother."

Javier did not heed Elin's words, he only focused on the girl's lips that seemed to move along with the word for word Elin said.

"Sister?"

"Do you love me?"

"Well, I love you," replied Elin steadily.

At that time, Javier put his lips together with Elin's lips in front of a car that they hadn't even been riding in since. He did it slowly and unhurriedly.
