19. Deal (Javier POV)

Ever since I was honest with Elin about the trauma I suffered, the girl seemed to keep her distance from me. Either this is my feeling or Elin is avoiding me.

If it was me who always avoided her from engaging in conversation and physical contact too far, now Elin is doing the same.

I don't know what's underlying Elin's acting like that to me. But, I don't like her stiff attitude like this. In fact, I have started to get used to her carefree and supple like yesterday, in fact, now Elin's attitude has changed to the beginning again. He is like self-fortifying.

"I should be glad he shut himself off from me. Wasn't I the one who asked him to throw away that liking? Maybe this is Elin's way of forgetting me."

I shook my head and smiled sideways. "Don't like Jack, he's a woman-lover" I explained.

"really? Then he'll teach me a lot because he's experienced" he said.

"What's? Don't fuck around, Elin."

"You have no right to forbid me, brother."

I melengos. Then grunt away from there right then and there.

"You didn't touch your breakfast, brother?" screech Elin from her position because I've walked towards the exit.

"No!" seruku. I had no taste for breakfast just because of Elin's statement that made me lose my mood instantly.

In front of the Apartment, I met Jack who greeted me and saw his face actually made me back emotional.

"Today there is no need to accompany Elin to the Hospital" I told Jack, who was taken by the man.

When I arrived at the company, I got a call from Elin. What else does this girl want?

"Sister, I'm going to the hospital, but Jack hasn't arrived until now."

"He will not come and will not accompany you to the hospital!"

"Why? Then who am I going to see Mom with, sister?"

"There's no excuse. But you can still see your mother later."

I disconnected the other side of the phone and thought about who could escort Elin to visit Aunt Arbei at the Hospital.

"It looks like Jack can't escort Elin anymore, because Elin might like him." I muttered to myself in my room.

"... but, what does it have to do with me? If they like each other it's none of my business, right?"

I'm tapping on the table. It becomes a habit when my heart is restless.

"If Elin and Jack really have a relationship, it looks like I'll have to find another partner for my bedmate."

I leaned against the back of my big chair. Thinking of not being able to find a partner like Elin again, enough to make my head throb pain.

"Elin doesn't have much behavior. She never seduced me not even daring to touch me. It's gonna be hard to find a girl as innocent as she is again. If he's with Jack, is it possible that Jack would be willing if Elin would still be my sleeping partner?"

"Sister? You're home yet? I didn't cook lunch, 'cause I was going to the hospital to see mom." Elin was shocked to see my return this afternoon.

Elin looked left and right, like looking for something.

"Jack's. Where's she? Isn't he going to accompany me to the hospital?" tanyakanya.

"Jack is not. He's got a lot of work."

Elin blinked a few times until he finally nodded and said,

"I'm ready." He looks lazy. Kernara was not happy to go with me and I did not like this response.

Arriving at the car, I saw Elin who kept staring out the window. He's not excited.

"Why? Are you sad that you didn't get to meet Jack today?"

The face looked at me with a strange look. "Yes, I'm sad because I have to go with my brother instead of with Jack" he said in an exaggerated tone.

I'm clucking. "It looks like you just said you liked me a week ago and now you're easily turning to Jack?" ask me in an unhappy tone.

"Why indeed? You're the one who asked me to reexamine my feelings. So, now I'm studying it. I don't think Jack's bad, so I can make him a candidate to be the person I like next."

"Basic boy. How can you turn away so quickly?" grumbling.

"What's your problem, brother? I like you wrong. I want to make Jack the person I like wrong. What do you really want?"

I'm speechless. Elin's words were right, too. What do I really want? Like he asked, I better propose the deal I had thought of while in the office.

"My thing is you agreed to a deal with me" I said next.

"Deal? What deal?"

"As long as you're still my partner, you can't be in a relationship with any man. It's Jack or whoever."

"Why? If Jack doesn't have a problem with all this, why are you limiting him? I even just wanted to approach her," said Elin, making my eyes look good when she heard it.

"The point can't be!" I stopped while still focusing on driving the car to the hospital where Aunt Arbei was being treated.

"Basic freak! Liked can't, liked others can't." Elin grumbled now and I smiled in satisfaction because of this.

"If you break this deal then I'll give it back to Aro."

"What's? What did you say, brother? It's called a threat."

"No, Elin. This isn't a threat, but it's called intimidation."

"Just like!" hiss Elin while rolling her eyeballs.

"Do you agree or not?"

"When are you healed? I want to be free of you soon!" said loud.

I'm speechless. I can't be sure when I'm healed. I can't give Elin an answer to this.

"Just go ahead with all this, Elin. No one loses, right? Even your life is assured in my control."

Elin threw away her face, I don't know what she's thinking now. But I think he's getting fed up with all this. Or, is there something he's covering up and I'm the one who misjudged it?
