29. Of jealousy? (Author POV)

"Jack?"

Elin is shocked when she comes out of a fast food place and finds Javier's assistant there.

"Yes, Ms?"

"Why are you here? Did Javier's brother tell you to come after me?" guess Elin.

"Sorry, Ms. Carla called me."

"Oh." Elin mangosteen while thinning the lips. "Why do you always bother taking care of me? Though I told Javier's brother that I couldn't escape from him" he grumbled later.

Jack hears that, but he chooses silence because Elin will not understand how the risk will be if Elin is lost from the escort. Maybe for the innocent Elin, she won't intend to run away, but there are many other possibilities that could make the girl disappear and that will affect Jack and Carla's work.

"I'm done buying my food" Elin said, referring to the package of ready-to-eat food "I'm going back to the hospital. Do you want to come?" ask Elin later.

Jack glanced at the food Elin bought. "If Mr. Javier knows you're buying junk food then-" Jack's words don't continue because Elin steps in right away, he won't listen to the man's talk.

Jack hurried after the girl's steps. Then walk a safe distance.

Elin looked back. "What are you doing behind my back? I've said many times, just walk beside me," said Elin cuek.

Jack shakes. "No, Ms. Please continue your journey," he said politely.

Elin rolled her eyeballs, Jack was hard to work with. He just wants to look like someone else - who is not being watched by aides - by making Jack his own friend.

"Come on, I'll let you walk beside me. Wouldn't that make it easier for you? Rather than watching me from afar?"

Jack still did not align Elin's steps, making the girl quite irritated.

"Give up," said Elin indifferently.

They again walked in the position of Elin in front and Jack in the back, down the sidewalk road to access the Hospital. It's not far, just a block away.

Arriving at the Hospital lobby, Elin suddenly stopped her steps. It affected Jack who did not expect Elin's actions, making the two to stand side by side.

Elin's eyes looked straight ahead, where she saw Javier along with a beautiful woman wearing a knee-length floral dress, they seemed to laugh and somehow discussed what. It seems they are waiting in line for the drug. I don't know.

"Are you okay, Ms?" jack asked to make sure that Elin suddenly stopped moving.

To be honest Elin was jealous to see Javier's closeness with the woman, who was she? What's Javier's girlfriend? If so, why would Javier have to bring Elin into his life? Why not just ask the woman to help her heal the trauma? Why Elin? Wh why?

Without a second thought, Elin even held Jack's arm which immediately gawked beside him.

"What's up, Ms?" jack asks who doesn't understand why Elin is acting this way to him.

Elin looked at Jack right away. "Do you have a boyfriend, Jack?" tanyakanya.

"Uhm, that-isn't that my privacy, Ms?" Jack asked back awkwardly.

"Then I also don't need to explain my reasons to you in detail, since this also concerns my privacy!" hatch Elin.

"W-what?" Jack was confused.

Until finally, Jack tetao can not refuse when Elin pulled his hand and then invited to walk side by side. The man could only remain silent, although he was actually afraid of crossing the line where Elin was the partner of his superior. Well, that's what Jack knows. He thinks Elin and Javier are partners. (Sort of tied to a husband and wife relationship but not married)

"Hi, Brother?" Elin greets Javier there.

A split second later, Javier immediately stood up from his seat when he saw Elin together with ... Jack's? Why is his assistant here with Elin and they holding hands?

Javier ignored Elin's call, instead highlighting Jack with his trademark deadly gaze. That's where Jack realized that trouble was coming his way.

"What are you doing here, brother? I thought you were busy with your work?" elin said, more towards insinuating.

Javier breathed a rough breath, before long Cassandra came in their midst.

"Jav, I've already redeemed the medicine!" cassie was cheerful as always, but in the next second he was confused because he saw Javier did not look at him and instead looked at a girl who had been there since when he was with another man who he knew as Javier's assistant.

"Jav, what's wrong? Who's she?" Cassie spoke again because Javier did not respond, the man as if he was talking through the eyes with another girl who was there.

Javier was out at that moment.

"... I'm going back to mom's treatment room. Go, Jack!" Elin again pulled Jack's hand with a dead Jack tick before the boss who looked at him as if he wanted to skin him alive.

"Wait!" javier said at last. He walked over to Elin and Jack, who were about to leave before him.

"You should work in an office, Jack!" press Javier on the assistant.

"Sorry, Sir. It's a no-" Jack's mouth is already open to voice what's really going on, but again his speech is always being dragged by Elin.

"Already, Brother. It's also still lunchtime, Jack just accompanied me to buy the food I wanted" the girl said.

Javier glanced at the junkfood parcel that Elin was carrying. So, they both went to buy that kind of food huh?

Javier finally could not say anymore. He nodded with a sense of smell. Until finally he really let both of them pass from before him.

Javier will demand a clear answer on Elin later. Got to!

"What's the matter, Jav? Who's she?" cassie asks who finally approached Javier after Elin and Jack left.

"That's Elin, you remember about her?" ask Javier about Cassie.

Cassie nodded too. "Woa, I guessed that she must be Elin. Aunty Elara told me about you meeting her again" she said.

"Alright, if you've already redeemed the medicine. I'll take you home to the Mansion."

Cassie nodded even though she felt something was awkward over something that had just happened.

Along the way to the Mansion, Cassie sees Javier standing still. His eyes are illegible. The man seemed to be focused on the streets alone.

Cassie actually knew if something had happened, at least she could read it quite clearly. Javier and Elin's relationship, not just a bedmate in his eyes. He can judge it from the way Javier looked at Elin earlier, and vice versa. They are not just partners. There is love in their eyes.

"Jav's? Are you okay? What are you thinking?" ask Cassie to start.

Javier's sniffing his shoulders. "See," he said ambiguously.

"Let me guess, you're worrying too much about Elin, huh?"

"I promised my mother and mother to look after the boy" Javier said, acting realistic.

Cassie laughed out loud.

"Is there anything funny?" javier's response saw Cassie's exaggerated attitude.

"Wait, wait .. I can't believe you're gonna say that your worries are just a promise."

"You mean?"

"Don't you think, Jav." Cassie laughed again. "I'm not sure if anything happens between you as long as he's with you to sleep" he continued.

"Don't think too far, because nothing happened between us but just sleeping as usual. You know, he's kind of therapeutic for me so I can heal that trauma!" javier said frankly.

"Who knows, Jav?" cassie Syndicate. "I can quite judge, if there is love and jealousy mixed in your eyes when you see it!" continued.

That's where Javier brakes his car suddenly, while making Cassie surprised.

"Jav! You wanna die?" snapped Cassie. "Your cousin still wants to live and have fun!" his nag.

Javier's crashing the wheel of his car, is that really what Cassie said? Is he jealous of seeing Elin with Jack? And love? Did ya?
