28. Don't plan (Author POV)

Elin did not answer Javier's words, and slowly the man's face drew closer to him, but the next second Elin actually threw his gaze to the side of– as a form of rejection to Javier.

It was really out of Javier's mind.he did not expect Elin would refuse his treatment and this really makes Javier disappointed. Wh why? Javier himself does not know why he should be disappointed in what Elin did. Or is this not disappointed? Except for feeling that his pride had been hurt? I don't know.

"I want to rest now, I think I'm too tired to cry" said Elin.

Javier noticed the girl, Elin was clearly avoiding her. Again Javier can only ask in his heart about the behavior of Elin who looks very deliberately away from him.

Elin got up, stood up from her seat and passed through Javier's body.he was about to pass, at least he wanted to go for a moment when his consciousness had recovered.

Elin does not want to be hypnotized again on the figure of Javier, he wants to be strong to face all these temptations. Elin knew she could be weak and ended up surrendering to the man. But, while in this mode of mindfulness, Elin always thinks about the worst effects of an action she takes. He does not want after everything happens, Javier will leave because they actually do not have a strong sense of connection.

"I'm sorry, brother. I don't want us to cross the line that we shouldn't, '" Elin said. For once he fell, he fell to the man.

So, before Elin loses to Javier's charm again, it's good that he stays away when his mind and heart are still in sync and can understand each other. Elin did not want her logic to be defeated by her own feelings. At least for now. Tomorrow, he doesn't know.

"Elin .." call Javier, but Elin steps in.

"Mediline!" Javier's voice turned resolute, along with his hand blocking Elin's wrist.

Just as Elin stopped, she looked at Javier from the edge of her eyes without looking at the man.

"I thought .. You asked me to forget what almost happened this morning, sister. But why do you even want to continue it now?"

Javier was silent, right what Elin said. He could not deny Elin's accusation. Elin was clearly accusing him. Wasn't he the one who asked Elin not to think about it anymore? But why is he now the one who reminds and wants to continue when he feels there is an opportunity?

"Elin, I–"

"Don't plan, brother. I think you're the man who knows the most about commitment. Don't pull your words again. So, let our relationship be just a deal, nothing more."

Javier stands up now, he turns Elin's body to look at the girl. Why did Elin warn him now? Wasn't he the one who always reminded the girl when Elin expressed her liking?

Looks like there's been something wrong with Javier's brain lately.

"Uhm, you're right, maybe I don't hold my own words."

Elin was in the same position.

"Now, go to sleep" Javier said at last in a low tone.

Elin passed after injuring Javier's hand which was still wrapped around his wrist.

Elin entered their room and then cleaned herself. Before long, he came out of the bathroom and thankfully Javier wasn't there yet.

"I'll go to bed first, before Javier's brother returns to the room" whispered Elin.

Elin lay on the bed and covered half of her body with a blanket. His position was turned back at the entrance. He yawned once, until he finally felt comfortable and fell asleep.

Javier went into his room half an hour later, before he chose to take a bath in the bathroom that was outside the room.

Javier looked at the bed and saw Elin sleeping there.

Javier realizes there are some things that have changed from him after bringing Elin into his life. One of them was the thing that had made him and Elin argue a little.

Javier knows that subconsciously, now his view of Elin has changed. He began to think of Elin as a girl, no longer the little boy he had always mentioned all along.

Javier sat on the side of the bed, looking at Elin's back.

"You know, I'm usually never as fickle as you say. But, somehow I can break my own habits. Next time, I don't know what else I'm gonna break because I feel like I've been different from myself lately."

Javier knew Elin wouldn't hear him, and now he's in the same bed and wearing his blanket too.

"Good nite, Elin. May my comfort in sleeping with you make you feel the same way" Javier said.

A young woman, with brownish wavy hair came to Javier's office this afternoon. He walked in his graceful style and approached the reception desk.

"Good day, Miss. Can we help you?"

"I want to meet Javier. Does he exist?"

"Mr Gladwin is having an important meeting. Have you made any promises before?"

"No, but you can tell him that I came here, because there's something important I want to tell him."

The receptionist nodded. "I'll tell him after the meeting is over" he said politely.

"Okey, tell her, Cassandra Logan wants to meet her."

"good. Please wait."

The woman named Cassandra was sitting on a sofa in a waiting room for company guests. He picked up the small mirror he was carrying in his bag, then looked at his reflection.

"It's beautiful" she murmured with a cheerful smile.

He waited almost half an hour, until finally the receptionist who welcomed him said that his message had been delivered.

"I've told Mr. Gladwin that you're waiting here, miss."

"Well." yeah."

"Alright, show me the room, I'll come to him."

"Mr Gladwin's coming down here, miss."

Cassandra clucked, but then returned to the seat.

"CK, all right," he said resignedly.

Inevitably Cassandra again waited until finally the waiting room was entered by a man she wanted to meet.

"Jav!!" cassandra cried when she saw the tall man coming.

"Don't overdo it, Cassie, it's still in the company area."

Cassandra chuckles. "Why indeed? You're afraid of being rumored and gossiped about by your workers, aren't you?"

Javier rolled his eyeballs.

"How do I look? It's pretty, right?" Cassandra's circling in front of Javier.

"Yeah.." respond to Javier lazily."When did you arrive?" ask her to the carefree and always cheerful woman.

"It was an hour ago. And I decided to come here to see you."

"I've told you not to overdo it or a lot of people will misinterpret it" Javier recalled to Cassie.

"You are!" Cassie hit Javier's chest a glance. "What are you really afraid of? Do you have a boyfriend?" tanyakanya.

"Not really," answered Javier ambiguously and Cassie chuckled at him.

"Yes, yeah. You can't possibly not have a lover."

"What do you need? I'll help you." Javier starts a more serious conversation because he knows what Cassie's intentions and goals are coming all the way to see her in this country.

"I thought you'd heard a glimpse of ...."

That afternoon, Javier was preoccupied by Cassandra's arrival and they discussed many things. Javier confirms Cassie's invitation to lunch together at a restaurant not too far from his office.

The vibration of the phone made Javier take the flat object from the pocket of the material pants he was wearing. It was clearly a message Carla had sent regarding Elin returning to the Hospital to look after her mother. Javier did ask Carla to keep them there.

[Miss Elin didn't eat her lunch, sir.]

Even that small thing Carla had to report to Javier. But it was not a trivial thing for him, because he wanted Elin to eat regularly no matter what his current circumstances were.

"What's wrong?" cassandra asked Javier who was busy with his own phone.

"What's wrong" said Javier. He did not tell Elin about the woman in front of him.

"Everything's fine, right?"

"yeah. All is well" said Javier. "Come on, continue our lunch," he asked.

Elin didn't touch Carla's lunch. He's not tasteful. His mother's condition dropped again today and he tried his best to stay strong.

"Mother, please be healthy for me as well for yourself" Elin said to the mother, who had fallen asleep due to the effects of the drug.

Elin wiped her tears. As much as he could not cry anymore, he had to be strong even though he had no one in the world but his own mother.

Elin comes out of the mother's care room and meets the faithful Carla waiting. Actually, Elin was grateful that there was Carla who accompanied him, she was still afraid and worried in case Liam returned to visit the Hospital.

"Miss, Mr. Gladwin told Miss to eat."

"I'm losing my taste."

"But I'll be scolded if you don't eat at all."

Elin knew that if she insisted on not eating, Carla would accept the impact.

"All right, I'll eat. Please take care of my mother here. I'm gonna find some food that makes me taste."

Carla shook her head, hesitating to let Elin go alone.

"I won't run away, even if I run, Javier's brother will find me with his power. What matters now is that you take care of my mother, because I'm afraid my stepbrother will come back and harm her."

"But I'm also afraid you'll meet him and he'll come back to attack you, Miss."

"I can take care of myself. This is a public place anyway. Liam won't do anything beyond the limit."

With a heavy heart, Carla let Elin go. However, he also did not want to be blamed so he immediately called Jack just in case.

"Miss Elin left without an escort, can you help me?" the adunya on Jack via cellular connection.
