35. Don't go (Author POV)

Elin and Javier arrive at the Apartment but both remain silent since the trip. No one tried to break the silence between them as if both of them were deeply permeating this silent atmosphere.

Elin herself simply chose to sit on the sofa without daring to voice her wishes.

Javier let it go, he was not in a good mood after he blatantly refused his invitation to marry. Today, the agreement of the two of them to stay together was completely completed. That means Elin will be free to choose her next destination.

"Uhm, I asked your permission to pack my things, brother."

After a long silence, Elin finally made a sound. Even so he did without daring to raise his eyes because he did not want to collide with the net all night owned by Javier.

"Hmm," Javier's cold response, this reminded Elin of the man's first attitude at the beginning of their meeting while at the Casino. Javier returned to the main mode, where his attitude seemed flat as if it was difficult to touch.

Elin got up and went into the room he used to occupy with Javier. Not unexpectedly when he was there it makes his feelings even more sad because considering all the togetherness with Javier for the past two months.

"I should be able to," Inner Elin. He breathed in his chest, then started to pack.

Elin recalled that she still had a stash of money. It was the fee Javier gave when Elin was still working at the Casino and had accompanied him for two nights.

"This I'm going to use to get on with my life."

Although that is quite a lot, but Elin knows that he cannot continue to rely on the money to survive because the money will certainly soon thin out. Elin thought about finding a job after leaving Javier's apartment.

A few minutes later, Elin finished packing all her things because she did not have much to clean up.

"You're really going?"

Elin flinched, it was Javier's voice asking her. The man was standing on the doorstep of the room.

"Well" replied Elin.

"Can't you stay for another month?"

Elin heard a vibrating tone from Javier's voice. Is Javier begging him now? No way, thought Elin.

"But you said yourself that our deal ended after I answered your call."

"I know."

"Then let me go." Elin lifted her travel bag. He's ready to go right now.

Javier blocks Elin's arm from passing through his body.

"It's been quite a night. Don't go now, stay for the night" Javier said, holding off the girl.

Elin took a smile. Smile if examined then there is pain there.

"I have come to my decision, brother. So, it's time for me to go now."

"I'm not forcing you to leave immediately, Elin," pressed Javier. He looked at Elin full of seriousness, as well as Elin returned Javier's gaze with the same look.

"I. .. have to go, Brother." Elin brushed off Javier's hand, which had blocked his wrist.

"Aren't you thinking of me?" Javier came back to look, even now his face looks very clear.

Elin shook his head faintly. Should he answer Javier's question? Every day he thought about the man all the time.

"I'm saying goodbye, Brother."

Javier fell silent and Elin started to step out to leave him.

"Is this the form of your love for me, Elin?" javier's growled at being able to stop Elin's steps once again.

Elin pegged at his place, it was very difficult for his lips to answer Javier's question this.

"You said you liked me but you left me, huh!"

Elin was silent again. He could not step because Javier's words held him back.

Javier stepped quickly, approaching Elin's body as if pressed in front of the exit of his apartment.

"Tell me what I have to do to keep you from leaving."

Elin shook her head in Javier's increasingly stiffening embrace.

"... i can't do it without you, Elin."

Now Elin was about to sob in the thickest possible position to see Javier's attitude that really seemed to be bleating on him.

"Don't act like this, brother. I don't deserve this treatment from you. You're a powerful man, you shouldn't be begging me" Elin said in a choked voice.

"But I really can't without you. Give me a moment. Don't hurry this. Tell me, tell me what I need to do so you'll hold on for a little while. I'll try to heal before you go, Elin."

Elin took a deep breath. Until finally the sentence that he had been holding back from his lips.

"If you really want to do something to keep me here, can you try to like me, sister?"

Javier speechless. He nodded shortly.

"Of course, I already like you. If I don't like you, I can't hold you back any longer with me."

"Don't like it in terms of need, sister. But like in a sense more," said Elin.

Javier did not answer, he turned Elin's body to face him.

"You can't do it, can you, brother?" guess Elin. "Then don't hold me to stay with you" he continued.

Javier shakes. "I'll do it. I'll try to like you more than I do now" he said.

"Really?" Elin's eyes are breaking. He did not expect Javier would give such a quick answer at his request.

"Yes, just so you stay here."

"But I'm not sure you can like me while you still think of me as a boy."

Javier chuckled now, though his silent look for fear of Elin leaving was still evident in the look on his face.

"Am I going to kiss a boy? I wouldn't do that if I still thought you were a kid."

Javier's speech made Elin's cheeks blush, he became reminded of the moment where Javier really kissed her.

"So, can you stay here with me?"

Elin knew her heart would be broken now. Javier promised he would try to like it.

"I don't want you to give me false hope, brother."

"Well, what am I supposed to do to make you believe me that I'm gonna try?"

Elin shook her head, not knowing what to ask Javier to do.

It was unexpected that the man suddenly knelt down in front of Elin, making Elin become excited because of it.

"Sister, what are you doing?" elin protest.

"I'll keep doing this until you change your mind and don't leave me this fast."

Elin took a deep breath again. Sometimes he is confused to interpret Javier's attitude. The man was very difficult to guess and predict. Sometimes he behaves indifferently. Javier also blatantly says that he is not interested in Elin and asks Elin to forget about him, but now Javier's attitude seems like a person who is very afraid of being abandoned by Elin.

"Alright, Brother. I'll stay here tonight."

"Up to a month ahead" Javier err.

Elin simply shook her head inexhaustibly with the man's decision. Everything feels wrong for Elin when he himself does not have the heart to leave Javier immediately. Will he not have to say goodbye to Javier next time he wants to leave?
