36. Rent House (Author POV)

The soft snoring sound is a sign that Javier has fallen asleep in his sleep. As soon as Elin's eyes opened, she hadn't really slept since. He just waited until Javier was sound.

"I'm sorry, sister," Inner Elin. Elin breaks Javier's embrace in his stomach. Lately Javier has been hugging him more often while asleep and that makes Elin go awry. The skinship that the man gave seemed to show his possessive attitude towards Elin, but Elin could not continue to accept the treatment when their relationship was not as clear as it is today.

Javier is aware that Elin's departure is the girl's own choice and inexplicably Javier appreciates it.

Earlier, Elin got off at the nearest stop with the small housing she was going to rent. The housing was entered into a fairly slum but Elin had no choice because the money he had was not enough to rent a more decent residence.

"You can take a look at this house first, if you change your mind--"

"No," said Elin. He cannot change his mind if he has no other choice. "I'll take the rent to stay here for the next 3 months" he broke.

"Well," said the old woman, she smiled because Elin wanted to rent the small house. "If that's your decision then you'll have to pay the rent up front."

Elin nodded and immediately grabbed some of the money she had. He will try to stay here for 3 months and if he does not feel at home he will move again from this slum house.

"Thank you, have a nice day." The middle-aged woman left Elin in front of the house with a key that she also handed to Elin.

Elin let out a long sigh, then started to enter the house she would inhabit from now on. When he opened the door, even the sound of the door ringing sounded as loud as in horror movies.

"You must be strong Elin!" said the girl encouraged herself. "Can't regret the decision you've made" he said, referring to the circumstances.

That day, Elin spent almost all day cleaning a house that was very dirty and had long been uninhabited by others.

The situation of the place started to be good after Elin cleaned it up.

As night approached, Elin just finished cleaning everything and thankfully he got an old mattress that is still worthy of him to occupy as his bed later.

Elin took a shower and after that she came out of her house to shop for groceries.

Crossing a block from his house, he saw another house that was very crowded with music. Maybe they're partying, inner Elin.

Elin did not ignore the sight she saw. Unfortunately someone from the house where the party was held seemed to glance at Elin who caught his attention.

"Hi."

It was a man that Elin believed was already drunk.

Elin continued walking without any intention of poking at him. Elin knew that criminal acts in a place like this were natural because here the law did not apply. Even if you lose your life, maybe your body will be forgotten forever without anyone investigating.

"Where are you going, beautiful?" seductive drunk man.

Elin tightened the coat she was wearing, put her hands in her pockets and prepared to run as fast as she could because no one would care for her even if she screamed. The people here are among the ignorant and the ignorant. They won't endanger themselves to save someone else's life.

"Hey, don't ignore me!" Apparently the man followed Elin's quick steps, making Elin's heartbeat feel crazy because he was not used to being treated like this.

"Stop!" Suddenly the man pulled on Elin's wrist and immediately Elin brushed him off.

Elin is really running fast now, even he has passed the supermarket he wants to go to for shopping. He was hiding near a place he thought was safe enough.

"Ah, shiiiiittt!" the curse of Elin was broken. He did it after the man who followed him was no longer seen. Now it feels like Elin wants to cry, let alone imagine if later he will return through the same road to go home to his rental house.
