16. Unexpected (Javier POV)

Medelines. I never thought I'd see that girl again. Maybe he doesn't remember me, but I certainly remember him a lot.

At first I was doubtful that it was the Medeline I knew, but a pendant she was wearing, made me unable to deny that it was her because it was my mother's gift.

I must admit, Elin grew up to be a beautiful and graceful girl. His eyes are like dolls. Her body was as tall as her slightly wavy brown hair, she was no longer the little girl I once knew, she was transformed into a girl capable of attracting men.

The reunion between me and Elin at an Aro-owned casino the other day, certainly took me by surprise.

The first question I have in mind is why would he be in a place like this?

And the answer was beyond my estimation.

"She was sold by Liam to me .. she is Liam's sister," Aro explained as I inquired about her.

How can I not know if Elin is Liam's sister? What have I missed over the past ten years?

And Irina - the girl's name - wasn't the one on my type list. I certainly ignored him and it ignited the flames of hostility towards Liam against me, because he thought I had hurt the girl.

"Find out about Elin. How could Elin be Liam's sister?" I gave my word to my Jack-Assistant.

That night, I asked Elin to accompany me. Although I was usually accompanied by Gwen, but Elin's presence there attracted my attention and was not interested in other women.

After all, Gwen was too aggressive and I didn't like that much because all I needed was a friend to sleep with.

First, I'm testing Elin. Asking her to change into a bathrobe, I wonder if she is like any other seductive woman. In fact, if reviewed, I myself do not really want him to change his clothes with the bathrobe that I give. Again, I just want to test it.

At last, that night I was completely asleep beside him. Unfortunately, I actually felt calm when he became the one who accompanied me to sleep.

"I met Elin, Mom." I told my mother about my meeting with Elin on the phone.

"Elin's? Medeline?" surprised Mom.

"Well, Medeline is Arbei's aunt's son."

"Where? I miss him, Jav. I want to meet her, right? She must be a pretty girl by now."

"There will come a time when Mom can see him. But not now."

"Why?"

I could hear my mother's disappointed breath from across the street.

"How else, Mom? I haven't been able to sleep quietly since that incident. And now that Elin is the cure for my sobriety in sleep, let her be my bedmate. After all, Elin used to sleep in the tv room while I was there and watching television."

"No, Mom. Elin was only my bedmate, so I could find peace in the sleep that I had not been able to get for a long time. I don't have to worry, I'll take Elin as my sister used to and nothing will happen between us."

"Javier, I know you're having trouble dealing with your sleep problems, but can you find someone else? Don't be a girl you could've ruined her future, son."

"I was calm when I slept with him, Mom."

"Or what, Mom?" I heard a strange tone from my mother's voice, like I was about to give an idea that was beyond my prediction.

"Married Elin."

Sure, mom is just there. My advice made me laugh.

"I told you Elin was like a sister to me, Mom. I won't marry her just because I'm comfortable sleeping with her."

"But that's the way out. You and him can love each other later."

"Easy, Mom. Consider it over. chase closed, I just wanted to tell mom about my meeting with Elin. That's all."

At first, I only intended to go to Aro casino to play around, because Aro has a lot of debt to me, but I did not expect to go back there just to see Elin again.

On the third day, I instead saw him being touched by men who claimed to be officials but their behavior was like a bi-adap.

They bowed when they saw me coming. Of course, it's because they know who I am. Although I am younger than them, but these old men no one would dare to demand me to respect them. Sometimes I'm grateful that money can always put me on top of everything.

Somehow I was so upset with them and finally decided to redeem Elin from Aro's place.

Of course, I have thought about that decision carefully. I have always had a commitment and will not pull things that I have consciously said.

"Are you interested in him, Mr. Gladwin?" asked Aro when I found out I was so angry to find Elin who works today, even though I had asked him for leave.

"Don't speculate. He's still my relative, so tell me how much it costs to make up for him."

And that day I brought Elin to my apartment, with various considerations of course because I already knew that Elin and Liam were only half-siblings. Aunt Arbei married Liam's father a few years ago when she decided to quit her job as a waitress at my parents' Mansion.

"From now on, Elin will be in my control. Until one day I can use him to avenge Liam's behavior. Besides, I still need it, until I'm completely healed of that trauma and can fall asleep in peace, without her."
