Elin, known as Sherin in Letty's house - Nathan's grandmother - was always an impingement on the servants who worked there simply because their status was lower than that of a slave.
Letty, no matter if her servants bother Elin also ask her to do things that are limited to reasonable.
Today, Elin was caught in charge of brushing the bathroom again. This was the job Elin hated the most because she had to brush the floor while sitting on the damp and cold tiles because she was still pretending to be paralyzed in front of everyone in the house.
If Elin was left with the job for granted, maybe she could brush the bathroom while squatting or standing and bending over like a normal person. But unfortunately, when Elin does something she is always noticed by one of the annoying waiters.
"You should brush that one too, bo doh!" The servant named Deborah pointed in the other direction while cursing Elin, she did not even have the slightest bit of empathy for Elin who had to drag her body in the direction she meant. Although Elin is not really paralyzed, Deborah should have a conscience for Elin that she knows can't walk, but she can't. He is the most outrageous.
"Deborah, don't push her too much!" great-granddaughter Sofie, one of the other servants. Elin felt, only that woman had a little sense of humanity.
"Not to pity him. Hasn't she been bailed out by the madam? She's just a slave and Mrs Letty won't blame us either if we really torture her."
"As far as you are. I'm just warning you because if anything happens to Sherin, you're gonna be in trouble. Moreover, Mr. Nathan always treated him differently."
"Ah, I don't care. When else can I tell someone else? Usually I'm the only one who's ruled this and that."
"But you can't take it out on Sherin either. Remember, he is a disabled person. Don't make it too burdensome."
Elin just silently heard the debate between Debora and Sofie that often happens. He continued to brush the bathroom - until the sound of someone who was now familiar was heard - began to enter the kitchen.
"Where's Sherin?" That was Nathan.
And Elin was grateful that the young man had come just in time because Elin could no longer bear to continue her work because she was beginning to shiver.
"He ... he's in the man-bathroom, sir." Sofie who replied, while Debora was seen berkilah by pretending to brush the bathroom wall, but since then the woman was just sitting watching Elin who works.
"Geez, Sherin!" Nathan rushed into the bathroom, passed through Debora's moody body and lifted Elin's body and sat in her wheelchair.
"What are you doing!" nathan's jolt didn't take it.
"She was only asked to brush the bathroom by Mrs Letty" Debora explained with a timid look.
"Sh ii t!" Nathan cursed, whether intended for whom, but Elin was sure if he was angry at the behavior of his own grandmother.
"Let me take you to your room" said Nathan who then pushed Elin's wheelchair towards the location of the girl's room near the hallway to the servant's pavilion.
"You okay?"
Elin shook her head, she commented with a faint smile realizing Nathan's worried look.
"Thank you, but can you please not show such an expression."
"I'm worried about you" replied Nathan who again helped Elin to get into bed.
Elin shook her head. "There is no need to worry about slaves like me" he said."
"I can't."
"If you really care about you, can I trust you for one thing."
"What?" nathan asked, looking excited.
"I have relatives in Hamburg. Can you help me contact them."
Nathan seemed silent for a long time, he would not be willing if the girl he knew named Sherin went from his grandmother's residence just like that. Wouldn't Nathan call the relative in question be like returning Sherin back to where she came from?
"You can't?"
Nathan gulped his salivation hard. It's like a heavy choice. But he should not be selfish because of what this girl is here for if she is always tortured. Even Nathan can't bear to see it.
"I'll help you" Nathan replied steadily. "But why are you saying it now? You've even spent almost a year here and never told me you had any relatives to call. If you say it early, they can also be quicker to free you from my grandmother's house!" continued later.
"Thank you." Elin looked at Nathan seriously and the two hazel-colored irises also returned her gaze. "It took me quite a long time, so that the person who set me up was off guard and did not suspect me anymore. I also need time to convince myself that you're the one I can trust in this" he continued.
"Of course, I trusted you from the start."
"Even though I lied to you?" ask Elin to make sure.
Nathan did not answer, until he finally spoke after a few seconds of silence.
"If you lie to me, I still believe you have a good reason to do so."
Nathan's gaze so reassured Elin that with one breath in the next second, Elin told her true identity.
"You didn't recognize me wrong. I'm the Elin you once knew," she admitted.
Nathan's eyelids widened, he was stunned for a moment when he heard Elin's confession and the two corners of his lips instantly formed a smile that he could not bear anymore.
"So you're really Elin? Oh, God ... How can you be in that place of slavery?"
Nathan immediately closed his own lips.
"Oops, sorry."
"It's a long story, sometime I'll tell you."
Nathan seems so cramped, then he remembers one last thing when he met Elin 2 years ago.
"You're not getting married? Didn't the man who picked you up at the time say you were his future wife? Or maybe he caused you this way and should be in this position?" serobot Nathan is unmitigated.
Elin shook his head faintly. "I should have married her but because of all the events that happened to me, everything became be-ran-kan." Elin said heavily and faltered, again he remembered Javier. I don't know what the fate of the man is now that their marriage has failed. Does Javier think Elin left him on purpose? Or Javier looking for it everywhere? I don't know.
"Maybe you haven't made a fool of him yet, Elin."
Elin smiled gently. "It doesn't mean no, Nath .." he said.
"That means you're still hoping to be the wife of that man?"
"Can we just talk about something I just wanted to ask you for help?"
"Why?" Nathan frowned because Elin wanted to shy away from his talk.
Elin is not unable to judge if Nathan is expecting it again after knowing that he is Elin. Moreover, the young man knew that now Elin and Javier failed to get married.
"You're too young to talk about marriage" Elin joked.
Nathan grumbling. "At the beginning of the year I'm 20 years old and you still think I'm the boy I used to be? Even I don't wear that uniform anymore" she said, referring to her school dress.
"Alright, Nathan. I'm not going to talk about this first. Can you just help me?"
"Yes sure. What can I do?"
Elin asks Nathan to call his family. Which other family Elin had, of course Javier's family in Hamburg. But Elin didn't tell Nathan that in order to maintain Nathan's own privacy and feelings.
"They're gonna reimburse you for what your grandmother paid me back then." Elin believes that Elara will always help him even though Elin has not heard from the family anymore. "... in other words, they'll redeem me from your grandmother's house, Nath," he continued.
However, Nathan rejects Elin's idea. He felt Elin had the right to get out of his grandmother's house properly.
"You're definitely not a slave. You have the right to get out of my grandmother's house as Elin not as Sherin who they consider a slave."
"No!" Elin shook her head. "Just you know my true identity. Don't let anyone know. Your grandmother or the waitress in this house."
"Why?" lirih Nathan's.
"Because I'm hiding my identity. If I get out of here as Elin, the bad guys who sold me into slavery will know that I'm alive and not a slave anymore."
Nathan thinks what Elin said is true. Although Nathan does not know who the bad guy Elin means but he appreciates Elin's decision that does not want his true identity revealed.
"alright. What about your paralysis?"
Elin shook her head. "I can walk" he said slowly.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"I'm glad to be the first person you tell me about this fact."
"Don't overdo it, Nath!"
"Well, I'll call your relatives to tell you about yourself. But, I don't want Grandma to suspect that suddenly someone is willing to redeem you here, so I'll set up a strategy to help you."
"One more time, I'm saying a big thank you to you, Nath. You're a good young man."
"Then consider me to be-" Nathan's words did not continue because suddenly someone called the young man's name.
"Nathan! Nathan! Where're you?" It was Letty who was looking for her granddaughter.
"0Go, Nath. Your grandmother would be furious if she knew you were here."
Nathan clucked his tongue at a glance, before finally speaking softly,
"Thank you you already trust me. I will not disappoint you and I will help you free from this bondage."
Nathan was soon galloping away before his grandmother realized that Nathan had been in Elin's room, which he called 'Sherin'.
