33. Accept him (Author POV)

As a girl who likes Javier, of course, the invitation to marry from the man was very happy for Elin. But, does he have to accept that even though Javier did it only because of the request of his parents and not because Javier wanted it?

Elin couldn't possibly start something that would hurt her even worse. Splitting up after a wedding is not easy. She will be a woman who never failed to marry and Elin never imagined it would happen in her life.

Elin was still daydreaming over the offer Javier gave her this morning. If he wants to be selfish then he will just accept the invitation without thinking about the worst possibility. But Elin would not do that. He is still thinking about his future which will be taken where later if it turns out Javier still does not love him after their marriage and still consider him only a friend for his sleep.

Elin had to stop the daydream when she heard the sound of the door being pushed, followed by a beautiful woman who was no stranger into her treatment room.

"Hi, Elin?"

Elin looked at the woman with a flat gaze, of course she recognized this figure. This woman is the same woman he saw with Javier the other day at the Hospital. The woman who Elin didn't hear wrong-if she was Cassie.

"How are you doing, Elin?"

For whatever reason, Elin never expected or expected Cassie's visit as it is today. Wh-wh-what for? Isn't she the money girl close to Javier? Did he come to warn Elin because Javier told her about the marriage offer Javier gave to Elin?

Cassie smiled at the face of Elin who seemed unfriendly. Even so, he did not put that into his heart. He was sure that there was a misunderstanding that made Elin dislike his presence.

"Uhm, I'm sorry, I suddenly came and visited you. You don't remember me, do you?" cassie said still with her smile even though Elin did not give the same treatment to her. There is no obligation for Elin to do that because in their country friendly activities are not commonplace. Elin doesn't know Cassie at all.

"I remember you, you were the one the other day with Javier's sister and redeemed the medicine, right?" elin said indifferently.

Cassie nodded. "Yes, you're right. But I don't mean that one. I thought you might not remember me in the past."

"You mean?" Elin looked at Cassie with a serious look now.

"We've met Elin, we've even played together before. The Javier family's Mansion."

Elin shook her head and looked confused.

"When we were small ..." Cassie suddenly stopped her sentence. "Ah, it's clear that we've known each other before. I heard from Jav about the temporary amnesia you've been through, so I understand that you don't remember me at all, let alone that we only met once when I was on vacation at Jav's residence back then," obviously later.

Elin's forehead is wrinkled. He doesn't understand this. But, is Cassie also one of the people she had known and then she forgot? I don't know.

"Since you've forgotten me, let's get reacquainted, Elin." Cassie reached out her hand towards Elin, though the look in Elin's eyes was still unfriendly but finally the girl welcomed Elin's helping hand.

"I'm Cassandra Logan, Javier's cousin."

"W-what?"

Cassie's laughing now. He had guessed that from the beginning Elin must have thought that he was a close friend of Javier or even his lover.

"Sorry, I think you---"

"Love Javier?" connect Cassie with her smile.

Elin threw a look at the window, she folded her lips nervously because she had mistaken her eyes.

"My mother is the sister of Aunty Elara. It just so happened that we were living in New York because my father was originally from that country. When my vacation came, I used to visit Aunty Ela and Uncle Shane here. Yes, of course, you should also meet that annoying Javier," joked Cassie at the end of her sentence.

It made Elin smile now.

"Haha, you're agreeing with me, aren't you, if Javier's a bitch?" cassie asked as if she was looking for support.

Elin was finally really laughing now.

"Alright, my arrival here did want to comfort you. Hope you get well soon because being sick is not fun. I've been feeling it a lot" Cassie said again.

"alright. I'll be healthy soon" replied Elin finally. He looked more relaxed and not half.

"Or not, when we were both boys, we used to prank Javier a lot."

"really?" Elin looked at Cassie with an interested look now.

"Yes, baby you're forgetting those moments."

"It's okay, the most important thing is that you're okay now." Cassie smiled softly, then she grabbed Elin's fingers to hold onto her, making her master look at her with a confused look.

"Listen Elin, I've heard about Javier wanting to get you married."

Elin kept quiet, as if letting Cassie go further on this.

"You've got a decision? Are you going to reject him?" cheek Cassie while staring at Elin.

"I think so," admitted Elin with her barely audible voice.

Cassie shook her head. "Don't refuse him, accept him" he suggested.

"Do I have to accept the offer when I know that he has no feelings for me?" lirih Elin's.

"Yes, you have to."

"Why?"

"Because I'm sure Jav loves you, Elin."

Cassie's words make Elin's heart beat faster now, but she doesn't believe it.

"Did Javier's brother tell you that?"

"No. I concluded it myself."

"Then you're wrong to conclude."

"No! You should be more observant looking in his gaze. He likes you more than anything. I've never seen him like that before."

"Like that?" asked Elin curiously.

"I'm sure he'll fall apart if you turn him down. So, accept him yes."

Elin was silent, he had not yet arrived at an answer for Javier. He was still hesitant to accept or refuse because in his eyes Javier invited him to marry just because of the insistence of his parents who did not want them to live together without any bond.

"I'm afraid our marriage didn't work out. I can't marry a man who doesn't like me as a girl. She only thinks of me as her bedmate and if she thinks it's more likely to be just like her own sister."

"Elin, trust me. He likes you too. I'm pretty sure of that. He's jealous to see you with his assistant. Can't you judge that?"

Elin was silent, she didn't know what to say. Breaking Cassie's conclusion was impossible. But Elin appreciates what Javier's cousin describes.

"If you accept it and you get married, at least you have more chance to win her heart to really be yours. Trust me, you'll be the winner!" cassie said stirring.

The two of them were silent as someone suddenly came and entered Elin's treatment room.

"Cassie, are you here?"

It was Javier. Elin and Cassie stared at each other. Through an eye gesture, Cassie again convinced Elin to accept a marriage invitation from Javier.

"Why did you guys suddenly shut up when I came?" asked Javier who was astonished to see the two women just staring at each other meaningfully.

"No, no. There aren't. We're just running out of story material" added Cassie, who doesn't want Javier to know that they're both telling it.

"I even heard that you guys were still talking to each other but fell silent when I came in" Javier said.

"Yes because our discussion was over when you came in, brother," Elin later said.
