Chapter 144 - Mortal Vs God

Mortem's scattered body began to disappear instantly because he had time to use the illusionary body that saved him from death. Hikari began to frown both of her foreheads when she sensed the existence of Mortem who was behind her.

Suddenly Hikari blinded Mortem's vision until he could not see and feel the existence of Hikari, he used the golden opportunity to launch several attacks until Mortem's entire body began to hurt, and he was injured, he ended the combination attack by releasing a wave of light from his palm that was able to throw Mortem thousands of meters back.

They continue to fight relentlessly and his injuries also increase every time they fight, Mortem tries to take the opportunity to recover himself when Hikari is not attacking him, but he never gave Mortem a chance to do so.

Every attack Mortem did not even work to Hikari because every attack that hit his body felt like dust hit his body, there was no other way but to kill the Angel's army as a whole but Hikari stopped him with several incessant attacks.

Hikari created a large and long spear, one slash of which passed almost upon Mortem's head. Some of Mortem's hair was cut almost to his ears. Mortem was dodging quickly, he was also surprised by the attack from the girl. His attack was a spear slash that grew stronger every enemy had an evil heart.

"Final Shine Attack!" Mortem retreated backwards and launched a wave of Final Shine Attack towards Hikari.

Hikari easily split the wave using the spear he held, which he held, but he saw some gaps in reality open around him until Mortem clenched his hands together to let all the gaps out a sharp sword that could stab Hikari in the whole body.

"Because of you-" Mortem widened his eyes when he saw Hikari's body piercing through when exposed by the attacks, he did not sense the existence of illusions within Hikari and it was impossible if he was completely immune to the attack of someone evil-hearted.

"Don't get cocky first, you fucking mortal!" Mortem leaped his salto backward avoiding the swing of the spear which horizontally pointed at his feet.

"This is absolutely impossible... How did you get this much power...!? Not just the millions of angelic existences I felt but more...!" Mortem said when he felt the existence of Hikari that felt like an infinite angel was inside him.

"The answer's easy... That kid is really the light for the universe of Touri." Hikari begins to appoint Shira who is currently exterminating the entire Giblis and Oather forces simultaneously, plus he fights Yusa along with three other army leaders alone.

Mortem changed the look on his face to be upset when he saw Shira helping herself with her already perfect light essence ability. Without further ado Mortem immediately created the Crimson scythe and then shot towards Hikari where they began to exchange attacks.

Mortem retreated backwards and created several dimensional slits that let out large swords, Hikari appearing behind Mortem where he managed to launch an attack capable of propelling himself forward. Hikari turned his spear and he immediately threw the spear forward.

Mortem deflects the spear upwards and he widens his eyes when he sees Hikari appearing right in front of him, Mortem manages to turn himself into an aura until Hikari's attack leading towards Mortem's vital fails. Mortem appeared around Hikari with an illusionary magic capable of making Hikari only able to remain silent as both of his eyes had already detected the real mana.

Hikari pointed at a real Mortem figure using his index finger, he released a long flake of light that was able to injure Mortem's right shoulder to bleed quite a lot. Mortem was shocked when Hikari guessed a real person, he continued the attack by slashing his stomach until it left a large wound.

"Hayeggghhh!!!" Mortem was thrown backwards with a mouth filled with fresh blood.

Hikari appears behind him and immediately launches a devastating attack capable of destroying his bones, as Mortem tries to use his illusion magic, Hikari immediately holds Mortem's face while showing a deadly-looking expression.

"You can't escape the fate of death... That is absolute...! Virtues Authority!" Hikari uses his strongest magic named [Virtues Authority] where he immediately takes over the illusion magic of Mortem and takes all the sanctity that is in him that is Sacred magic.

Hikari's body released a large Sacred aura that even made Mortem stunned because he began to feel the flames burning around his body as well as the attacks that were able to injure his body many times. Hikari strangles Mortem's neck and he immediately darts toward the uninhabited planet.

"Against myself with such an evil heart is tantamount to suicide... You are more worthy of fighting someone who does not nicknamed [Seven Heavenly Virtues] and [Seven Deadly Sins]!"

Hikari appears just above Mortem while lashing out a full-power punch held back by Mortem using a reality crack he opened. The planet that was struck by him cracked spread wide to thousands of meters due to withstand one powerful blow, even Mortem's body buried into the ground.

"It's easy, I sealed all the magic that has a holy type in you and moved it inside me for a while so that I could get stronger... Stronger than ever!" Hikari replied with both eyes burning with Sacred fire.

"Let's try one more time...! I will purify your perverted self...!" Both of Hikari's palms began to burn with Sacred flames that emitted a holy light.

Mortem immediately launched several quick slashes that were hard to reach by the eyes, Hikari could only remain silent while showing a flat expression as all of her attacks were unable to give any effect to Hikari even injuring her and giving herself the slightest tingle of nothing.

"Free to fight back---"

Mortem immediately disappeared and appeared behind him, he immediately escaped from Hikari because it seemed like his strength could no longer be called equal to him. Hikari chased after him at full speed until Mortem started to panic and then launched several Crimson waves but all those waves were unable to hurt Hikari.

"Every attack you put out... Feels of evil intent in it, your heart is completely impure...! It is very disappointing that an Eternal race like you will fall into an abyss filled with evil!" Hikari suddenly appears in front of Mortem to his surprise as he immediately strangles her neck very tightly.

"K... You're... You fuck...! Strength like this... It can't be any--"

"Aggggggghhhhhh...!!!" Mortem screamed in pain as Hikari choked him deeper and deeper.

Hikari immediately slams Mortem's body over the uninhabited planet, resulting in the planet being split in two until Mortem's back starts leaning against a sacred wall created by Hikari. With a sadistic look Mortem to sweat because he could feel the heat that enveloped his body.

Hikari immediately trampled on Mortem's body several times to begin the purification ritual until the sound of cracked bones could be heard everywhere, in the eyes of others this did not look like a purification ritual but rather a slow mutilation in which Hikari pulled out both of Mortem's arms slowly until she screamed in pain.

"You're really letting my patience run out...!!!" Hikari thrusts his right hand into Mortem's stomach, immediately removing Mortem's entrails until he continues to shout a loud voice that can be heard throughout the universe including Korrina who is fighting against the Shinku.

Mortem's entire body was separated one by one by Hikari with the results of Mortem's life still contained in him, he was also still able to survive all the sadistic torture. But all Mortem's suffering was immediately ended with a right palm of Hikari pointing at him.

"Hmphc... Look at you, GODDESS! Are you at a higher level than the Mortal...? Don't make me laugh." Hikari immediately raised Mortem's body and threw him out of the Xuusuatouri universe.

"Just that war between universes is alone without me, I just want to keep this universe." Said Hikari where he immediately went to the planet that had a sacred hot spring.

"You... You're brave... Mortal like you.. consider myself...!? The son of the Ghifari family...!? The son of the strongest god and mortal...!? You dare underestimate me...!?" Mortem shouted loudly where he immediately opened his mouth wide and launched an enormous Crimson wave towards Hikari.

"Huh....!?" Hikari glanced back and she immediately clenched her teeth when she saw the stubborn Mortem wanted so badly to die by his hands.

" *****...!!!" Shouted Hikari loudly, he launched [Virtues Exorcism] again until the Crimson wave was absorbed and then the golden wave he released hit Mortem's entire body until he screamed louder and slowly his voice began to disappear due to the waves it slowly turned itself into dust.

Baaaaaammmm....!!!!

The magic this time caused a huge amount of gold smoke in space until he could no longer see Mortem, feeling his existence alone was already unable because he had completely disappeared and was most likely killed due to Hikari's deadly magic earlier.

"... ..." Hikari let out a long sigh and he immediately left to continue his journey.
