Chapter 143 - Hikari

Suddenly a girl appeared in front of that Final Shine Attack wave with both of her palms filled with a light of purity, all the waves were able to be sucked out by the girl and he launched the attack back to Mortem who was almost hit with the attack.

"Hhhhhh...!?" Akina widened her eyes when she saw that the girl finally wanted to fight for the sake of protecting her own universe.

"Finally you will dare to show me that appearance and face, the representative of all seven virtues...!" Mortem smiled in satisfaction as he saw a figure from the [Seven Heavenly Virtues] representative finally appear.

"I don't interfere if you try to destroy Xuusuatouri... You won't I'm sorry...!" The girl immediately changed into the same form as Asuka, [Seraphim Angel].

The girl with a beautiful and holy appearance, with blonde hair and sea blue eyes that symbolized magic [Seven Heavenly Virtues]. He could be likened to the angel race because the wings that had golden aura and behind his back contained the symbol of [Seven Heavenly Virtues].

A golden white armor was attached all over his body, Hikari... It was the name of a girl who possessed the entire [Seven Heavenly Virtues]. Akina soon orders Asuka and Chiara to focus on other forces as Hikari will now protect Xuusuatouri as well as fight Mortem who stubbornly tries to destroy that universe again.

In a single breath then appeared a sharp white flake of light from both of his fluttering wings, Mortem immediately sliced through the air to create the cracks of reality as he would use his abilities to defeat Akina. Simultaneously they unleashed an equivalent attack.

Hikari can be protected by both of his own wings, Mortem's magic is much larger and stronger than himself as the dwindling population of angels is able to make itself weaker. Both of his wings were able to absorb all of Mortem's magic until it ran out.

Mortem began to raise both of his arms upwards to create a deep blue meteor, he unleashed the meteor towards Hikari and he immediately launched a sharp holy light through his two fists which caused the meteor to instantly shatter. Hikari is not just silent because he knows that Mortem will launch a back-to-back attack.

Hikari began to sweat because of the population of Angels that was steadily decreasing due to the war between universes, she stared at her two palms that were already not enveloped with her holy light, she said, he continued to weaken and his strength continued to be depressed stepping on the low level. 

Hikari soon disappears when he realizes that he is surrounded by the gaps Mortem split, Mortem starts chasing Hikari from behind because he is unwilling to let go of a very rare enemy like Hikari. 

Hikari immediately took out a spear with a golden-colored hilt, with flowing a hint of his holy light, immediately making the spear enveloped with a white light. They exchange attacks until Shira begins to realize the dwindling light source comes from Hikari who is currently depressed due to the dwindling population of angels.

Hikari brushed aside those dimensional slit attacks using his spear, he forced his body and as much as possible to not waste the holy light that was still inside him.

Mortem did not need to use five percent of his original strength when seeing Hikari continuously weakening, he now intended to play tricks on her, he wanted to make the owner of these [Seven Heavenly Virtues] to feel great suffering. 

Something bad happened when Mortem underestimated him because there were some cuts on his body caused by Hikari's attack. He began to emit a holy light until his strength began to increase drastically again, Mortem then increased his strength to seven percent while putting on a sadistic smile.

"I will stop you...! You are forbidden to touch, Xuusuatouri...!!!" The two exchanged several attacks and the result was a draw, this made Mortem frown and start to get emotional so he used ten percent of his strength.

"Impossible...! I can already feel the lack of population of the Angel nation but you can still increase your strength..."

Mortem's attack became more aggressive than before until Hikari's armour began to crack and his cheek was hit hard until it left a considerable bruise, with the power used by Mortem now even Hikari can no longer hit his attack on Mortem as small as possible.

The two again exchanged several magic attacks as well as the weapon they used was able to shatter into pieces of aura that could injure themselves respectively, no one was struck back a step when they started to complain blows. Mortem began to be amused until his hair turned into a silver color as he could not wait to see one of the strongest mortals suffer.

"Huh. huh.... huh..." Every breath he breathed was able to drain blood out of his mouth.

Akina stopped fighting for a moment when she saw Hikari was quite badly injured, this was the first time she saw Hikari could be injured that badly because of Mortem. Akina did not expect that Mortem's power would continue to increase until he stored an enormous power, perhaps this was all due to the Legend's ability [Legend's Boost].

Mortem immediately unleashed a combination attack on Hikari that left him more severely injured than before, Mortem ended the attack by slicing through the dimensional gap in front of him and creating a long sword from the gap that was able to stab Hikari in the stomach and throw him behind.

Mortem's body began to feel dissatisfied to see Hikari who did not make a sound of pain, he felt like attacking a lifeless statue. The Sacred and Crimson Auras began to coalesce around Mortem's body as he wanted to immediately wipe out Hikari's existence along with the Xuusuatouri universe.

Slowly Hikari began to lie down on top of space with her body beginning to move backwards towards the Xuusuatouri universe, the reduced pressure of his holy light was able to make his body feel heavy until he entered the Xuusuatouri universe and then hit the holy sea on a planet.

"I'm nothing without the population I love - angels..." Hikari.

"This is what happened to me... If I rely too much on the entire existence of Angels..."

"I did not expect that there was a Goddess who knew where my weakness and the source of my strength came from..."

Shira suddenly appears behind Hikari where she pushes her back, and, trying to arouse his fighting spirit until he came to his senses then turned his gaze to Shira who was holding a ball of white light with a serious looking expression.

"No living creature can fight alone... If you want your angel population back then... Keep fighting and fighting..." Shira said with her telepathic ability which can be heard clearly by Hikari.

Shira immediately released the white light into Hikari's body until the girl began to be enveloped with a white light, her two eyes launching an infinite number of holy light. Hikari was shocked when she felt her body filled with holy light from the entire population of angels.

"How--" Hikari realizes that Shira has disappeared, she can only smile and starts to realize something that sounds quite reasonable because she is a Legend with the essence of perfect light, there was no doubt that he could gather all the remaining angelic holy light and then manipulate it into an infinite number like this.

Mortem who had filled the Final Shine Attack until stepping on full strength was surprised by Hikari who appeared in front of him and then launched a spear that hit his face until he was thrown backwards.

"W-What...!?"

Hikari returned with her eyes that launched a holy light, her power began to increase until it exceeded Mortem's strength. Not only could each strike of his tread penetrate Mortem's magic protecting his body from any attack, Hikari immediately released fragments of holy light capable of breaking through Mortem's defenses.

The whole shard of light pierced Mortem's entire body until he began to feel pain and his body felt like it was purified from the evil he had made from the beginning.

"The more evil you create is created... Then the stronger my attack!" Hikari's hand seemed to emit a white light that was really hot and so dazzling to the eyes. Mortem screamed in pain because the heat had spread all over his body.

"Virtues Exorcism!" Hikari unleashed his magic that was able to make Mortem groan in pain still had time to curse before in the end he exploded until all pieces of his body were thrown everywhere because the attack was very strong thanks to sin and evil that ever Mortem did.
