Chapter 99 - Cage

Naoki darted towards Haruki at full speed, launching a fist enveloped in darkness where the magic began to create long spears that could penetrate anything, Arata began to intervene by advancing forward and fending off Naoki's attack so that he was pushed backwards.

"Oi... What are you doing...?!" Haruki asked because Arata suddenly came to help her even though her condition was still not fully recovered.

Naoki doesn't spend any other time, he jumps up and lands behind Arata to try stabbing his back. Haruki quickly manages to welcome Naoki's attack so that their two weapons start to clash with each other, Haruki widens his eyes when he sees Naoki's two arms covered with darkness begin to flow towards him.

The darkness magic enveloped Haruki's arms until he could not move both arms, both swords he took off. Haruki felt both of his arms as numb, he had already used any healing magic to heal both of his arms which were still enveloped with darkness.

"You can't be free... Darkness is limited, but does your defense have a limit...!?" Naoki creates a spear in both of his arms and he immediately launches an attack capable of severing Haruki's neck.

Fortunately Arata kicked Haruki backwards and then greeted the two spears using his sword of fury and gluttony. They started exchanging attacks and it seemed like Naoki was sure that this fight would go quite fast if only he managed to get their entire limbs exposed to his extremely dangerous dark magic.

"Sad..." Haruki's two arms could not be moved, he could only see Arata and Naoki exchanging attacks. Haruki did not intend to stop fighting as he instantly created two red balls on both soles of his feet, after which he kicked him towards Naoki.

Naoki smashed all the balls while making a combination attack on Arata, the tip of the spear hit Arata's shoulder until he was pushed back. Naoki spins both his spears until it creates a dark storm in the region that makes Naoki even stronger and faster, but for Arata and Haruki... They only felt strength and energy continuously drained.

"The Land of Darkness' Demons...!" Naoki fused the two spears together into one long spear, the spear was enveloped with darkness emanating from the ceiling.

"Is this area magic...like support magic...?" Ask Haruki.

"Maybe... Our current condition is critical, using our full strength and original abilities would be bad because we could just attract the attention of the goddamn demon lord..." Arata.

Haruki and Arata looked at each other and then they nodded, they only needed to extend their time by working together against Naoki. As far as they can survive, the only way they can survive is to wait for Alisha to arrive with her army.

Naoki launched several attacks with his spear, which he used, Arata manages to withstand all the attacks but he can feel the darkness that envelops the spear launching another attack until Arata realizes that his body is filled with cuts covered with darkness.

Naoki was able to make the spear long even as a shield because the fire of anger that Arata released was able to resist Naoki by spinning his spear like a fan and then throw back the fire of anger towards Haruki who was thinking of another way, Haruki quickly jumped towards Naoki and attacked him using his two legs.

The attack that Naoki was about to attempt was instantly interrupted by Haruki attacking him from behind, Naoki immediately faced Haruki and struck him in the face using his spear until he was pushed back. Fortunately Arata was still able to fight, Naoki's back suffered considerable slash injuries due to Arata exerting all his strength in one strike.

"Ugggh...! Whatever way you do it...! It will never hurt me...!" Naoki unleashes a huge darkness around him that is able to push Arata and Haruki backwards.

"Oi, Naoki...! Be aware, what's with your ramen business...?! Why are you now turning into a monstrous demon that is trying to kill us both...!?" Haruki.

"That's right...! We are not partners...! We both come from third grade, right...?" Asked Arata who stepped forward towards Naoki.

"I am a demon who makes ramen...! That ramen I can make as a source of strength for my own nation that is the demon nation, you are instead handing yourself over to the Rxeonal king and allowing himself to repair you both...! Being on the side of the Rxeonal king was indeed a sure justice....!" Naoki started talking while holding back Arata and Haruki's attacks simultaneously.

Haruki again attacked Naoki with both of his legs enveloped with his own aura, all the power in his body began to move Haruki to the legs to increase the power of his legs for a while because he still could not move both arms.

Haruki kicked both legs of Naoki, making himself kneel until the balance of his body began to be disturbed, Arata launched several attacks that hit Naoki's body which began to harden. Naoki tries to pierce Arata's chest using his spear but Haruki kicks the spear until it does not hit Arata.

The foot of Haruki who kicked the spear made himself stiffened because the darkness that enveloped the spear entered his feet and caused himself to almost fall. Arata launched several combination attacks where his two swords began to be enveloped with flames of anger.

Naoki was pushed back, Arata and Haruki stood upright with sweat already filling their bodies, "It seems like my Gluttony sword cannot devour Naoki's extremely powerful dark magic, I've tried it for a while and the result is that my sword feels like a wooden sword that can't do anything."

"So his dark magic was filled with negative effects for us huh...?" Haruki wiped the blood that flowed out from his mouth.

"Hmph, it seems like we have no other choice but to blindly go in this fight right...?" Arata started talking, he started to show his serious smile.

As soon as the two of them realized that there were thousands of Rxeonal troops coming from behind Naoki, Haruki could not sense Rxeonal's whereabouts but the elite force of thousands seemed to be overwhelming them both. Haruki now understood what Arata meant.

Blindly what Arata meant was that they continued to fight for self-sacrifice so that Alisha and her troops could find a safe haven. What Haruki and Arata hope is that they can leave after Naoki is already defeated but it seems like all of these early fights were already planned by Yusa.

"The two of you are indeed a Legend race that is really a bar bar, trying to attack the enemy in their own cage..." Yusa began to speak, she lifted up Zaiken's body then jumped towards Naoki and stood next to him.

"Sorry wait, it looks like you need to rest now." Haruki and Arata widen their eyes when they hear Alisha's voice and the steps of the entire army he brought to fight,

Haruki and Arata glanced back, Alisha had already come prepared until Haruki could see her friend Vier, he brought in hundreds of troops and all of them were fully prepared to fight Naoki with his other troops.

"Vier's..." Haruki knelt on the ground and Vier immediately helped him then took him to a safer place so that he could rest until both of his arms could recover.

"It looks like you have been exposed to the effects of incurable dark magic, but the effects of this magic will disappear in a few minutes. You just have to hold him back and don't fight before your condition comes back." Vier.

Haruki nodded and he sat down on the ground while staring at the entire army that Alisha had gathered advancing forward, Kizura touches Arata's back to recover but it takes a few minutes for the condition to return to its original state. They've done a pretty good job and now let Alisha take care of her.

"What are you fighting for...? Why are you carrying out Rxeonal's orders...?" Ask Alisha.

"To attain peace, the ideal that should be sought is peace for the Zuusuatouri universe. The other universe with its race does not deserve peace in the wrong way, only the Rxeonal way is right...!" Answer Naoki.

"It doesn't make sense..." Itsuki.

Itsuki starts to stare at Yusa and Yusa looks guilty until he takes his eyes off, he also has time to look at Yusaki who shows a sad expression. Alisha spends a lot of time as she tries to realize Naoki that the plan that Rxeonal did that could cost the entire universe.

"Peace between the same nations seems like it's not an option, I can't have any choice but to fight." Alisha raised her right arm, her entire army began to prepare to carry out Alisha's orders, they used ranged weapons and the entire Naoki army immediately laughed at them.

Naoki's entire body began to goosebumps as he felt a holy aura around him, a light blue light emerging from above the sky and slowly descending towards the land.

"This pressure..." Arata stared at the light with a serious-looking face.

The light blue or holy light landed on land and began to thin until it showed an adult girl who had neck blonde hair, all the legends who were in the region began to know the girl because she was quite popular even Naoki also knew her.

"Korrina Comi...?" Say all the Legends at the same time.

"You're trapped in the enemy's enclosure..." Korrina began to speak, her entire body starting to emit a holy light that was able to make part of Naoki's army go blind.
