Act 467: The Reason for the Event

No wonder it was in the spotlight, the King of the Eastern Kingdom understood what Brock meant.

The fact that Danny is now the target of the devil is obvious.

Now the demons are beginning to carry out their plans to take over the world, and before that they will definitely eliminate anything and anyone who gets in the way of their plans.

And that includes Danny who is clearly intent on stopping the devil's plan.

Even though that fact was known, it still could not explain why the young man disappeared suddenly.

“Do you know something Patricia?” Tarnatos wants to get more information. By asking someone who was last with him could have revealed something new.

“Danny suddenly just disappeared...” Patricia stared slowly down, because before her partner was giving off great strength then there was not much she could notice.

He couldn't do anything when Danny had done something, and now something like this is happening that makes him feel useless.

What can he tell the king about this?

What's with Danny's theory of deliberately leaving this place? Using the aura of power as a diversion? That way the enemy will not suspect and think the fight is still going on.

That is the most appropriate way to use when facing an opponent who is too strong, namely by deceiving him.

The theory can happen, but in the end it is just ‘possibility’ only.

“... There... black shadow,” murmured the girl suddenly after a long time pensive.

“?!” Patricia's expression suddenly changed, which signified that something was on her mind.

Just before Danny disappeared, Patricia could still remember a strange last second. He realized this too late because he thought there was no point in remembering it.

Where his partner's strength seemed to disappear and along with that there was a strange black shadow, and Danny disappeared.

“Black view?” Tarnatos could clearly hear what this girl was muttering.

Patricia shook her head slowly, she doubted what appeared in her head.

How about black shadow? Who cares about black shadows or anything?

It could just be a hallucination that appears suddenly on him, right? Considering Patricia back then was tired enough to notice her partner.

“Can you explain again ‘this black shadow’?” Tarnatos sounds serious.

“Eh?” Patricia did not expect the king to be interested in what he said was spontaneous.

“....”

It may sound silly to tell what is uncertain about this. But somehow Patricia felt she had to tell it.

“Something pitch black appeared.. just before Danny disappeared.”.

“Pick black?” Tarnatos was trying to digest what this young girl had said.

“What ‘itu’ is human-shaped?” Tarnatos had an opinion that this girl saw was not something ordinary.

Patricia was silent for a moment. “Ah, I do not.. know Mr.”

Patricia could not remember how the shape of shadows, objects, things, or anything about 'something' that he saw it.

It happened too quickly, and to the point that he thought what he saw last time was just a hallucination.

What this girl saw could have been the key to why Danny could have disappeared. With the absence of supporting information, it is only a matter of time before Danny's whereabouts can be known.

While Brock and Vincent just fell silent, from the moment they listened to this talk, for some reason now what they think is more or less the same thing.

“Dark Shadow...” Brock and Vincent said together after a while just listening to the chat of this little girl and the king.

“Hm?” Tarnatos had only first heard such a strange word, what were these two men really talking about?

Seeing the king confused. Vincent felt called to explain everything in a concise, and interesting way as he could.

For the next few moments Vincent explains about this Dark Shadow.

Tarnatos listened to the explanation of the shoulder-haired man seriously, although he was a little difficult because the man's style seemed exaggerated.

“Good. Dark Shadow is the leader of an illegal organization, so?” Tarnatus concluded what he heard with a serious tone that was not exaggerated.

“Hm.” Brock did not expect the king to immediately understand the dramatic explanation of this colleague, even though he almost stopped the explanation.

And now Tarnatos got new information that supports what has been known before, reinforcing the suspicion that indeed ‘shadow black’ had a share in the case of the disappearance of Danny this.

But despite this firmed conjecture, it still did not guarantee that the black shadow this girl saw was something similar that this shoulder-haired man described.

The odds are there, and vice versa. Tarnatos ultimately still has no certainty here.

After gathering information though, it's still not enough to get Danny back. At the end of the day, the conversation about Danny disappearing ends here.

Patricia, Brock, and Vincent believe Danny disappeared for good reason and now they just need to work out their next plan.

“What battle in the city is over?” patricia asked after chatting for a while, it was undeniable that she was so curious about what was happening here.

Patricia felt everything was quiet and peaceful, even she could see the calm atmosphere from the outside with the bright sun. Even the sound of birds chirping sounded clear and melodious, very different from what he had seen before.

“Ah you don't know yet.” Brock is aware Patricia is temporarily resting, while he and Vincent already know what is going on here.

Tarnatos breathed. He had enough information from this girl, and now it was time to explain what she wanted to know.

“This is not the real world,” said Tarnatos with a changed face. It feels more somber.

“Not.... real world?” Patricia still did not understand what the king said.

“This artificial world.” Tarnatos explained briefly, there are not many words but only what this girl needs to know.

“As we practiced first.” Vincent goes along to explain, which ultimately makes Patricia more aware of it.

As before, which means the same when practicing in Master Freiss' artificial world.

But why... the king made an artificial world?

“This is a plan that has long been made.. we cannot survive in a world that will be ruled by demons.” Tarnatos now sounded very serious, his tone deep and full of emotion.

“Why....?” Patricia doesn't understand.

“Mr King does not... maintain it...?” The memory of the destruction and death of the person who was struggling in the real world remembered immediately, making this girl's chest tight.

All the suffering and struggles of the real world for the sake of facing the devil are meaningless?
