Towards the Unbeatable

Towards the Unbeatable
Act 349: Shocking

"What's wrong with Vincent? Shouldn't he be back by now?" Danny looked out and looked around the area near the horse-drawn carriage, he wondered why after so long his friend who felt unwell had not come back to this day.

"Hm?" Brock was instead busy eating a large enough bread there, coincidentally in their seat on this merchant train was indeed a lot of food and drinks that they could eat if needed, he said, and it turns out Brock enjoyed the meal more than he did in response to Danny's question.

"Could he still feel bad, so he hasn't felt like coming back?" In the end Patricia responded to Danny's question, his usual response didn't really help him figure out the real reason why his friend took so long out there.

Danny then rushed down from the merchant train, because indeed he could not just guess what happened to his friend.

"Where'd Danny go?"

"Ah, I want to check Vincent's situation, maybe I can help him overcome his problem."

"I'm coming along."

Patricia rushed down and Danny decided to look for Vincent, walking around the cliff area but found no one there.

Then they continued walking and continued down the area, they saw a variety of large trees slightly uphill and rocky there is indeed a bit of a distance with the carriage Mr. Housen, horse, and they think Vincent is there at the moment.

Not long after without any obvious reason and obvious source, Danny smelled like something was on fire, not the smell of good food as most people would normally expect, more of an inexplicable thing that burns.

"You smell something Patricia?" Danny made sure what he was breathing through his nose was something that was burning or not.

"Like something burning." And Patricia agreed with Danny, he also smelled the same smell where there were gusts of smoke not visible but caused a fairly pronounced smell.

Danny didn't know what the unburned thing was, nor did he see anything strange before he set his sights on every big tree he saw.

"I-it?!"

A slightly reddish hand filled with burns stretched out behind one of the big trees there, so knowing this by no longer thinking Danny hastened to run to make sure whose hands were stretched out.

A little while later Danny reached behind a large tree where he saw some of the burned-out hands, and he could not believe what he was seeing right now.

The look on his face changed quickly knowing that the person lying below was full of burns was the person he was looking for because he had not returned to the carriage.

"What is it?!"

Patricia who was quite left behind because Danny suddenly ran quickly was finally able to catch up with him and see what his friend saw at the moment.

Danny doesn't understand why he could find his unconscious friend behind this big tree, what really happened to him? why is he hurt like this?

Danny then checked Vincent's heartbeat, he could not imagine if his friend had to go back to experience the same thing he had experienced before.

Slowly but surely, Danny heard a heartbeat, although weak but he could still feel it, Danny saw how his friend's wounds looked, did not look okay and could not be left alone.

Want anyway this seems strange, why did he feel unwell then suddenly he experienced all this? Danny does not understand at this time, but certainly his friend must be dealt with first.

"Patricia you can cure her, can't you?" Danny hopes Patricia is the only member of his journey who can have a healing ability, and hopes that Vincent can be helped again by him.

"I-I feel a greater sense of life than when we were in the forest first, we better take Mr. Vincent and I'll recover it once we get water from Mr. Housen." Patricia also did not understand why this could happen, but she also kept her curiosity because it could be asked to her directly.

Instantly, Danny tried to hold the body of Vincent who was helpless when it hit his back, Danny could feel the burn experienced by his friend was still wet and seemed very easy to be worse than what is now there, he said, he tried to carefully carry her and quickly told Brock and Mr. Housen.

A little while later Danny had reached the vicinity of the merchant car, putting it on a rocky patch of land, there was no convenient option other than this, but he hoped Vincent could hold on while help would be provided

Patricia hastened to stand guard next to Mr Vincent, believing that the external injury that looks less good is no worse than the internal injury that has been experienced before, optimistic that he can definitely restore his condition as before.

Danny rushed to see Mr. Housen and told him about what he saw earlier, with a quick response Mr. Housen immediately gave him a bottle of fresh water which happened to have stock in his steering room.

After getting the bottle, Danny quickly gives it to Patricia and leaves the healing to her completely, hoping that her friend can return to her normal life.

Danny then wanted to report this incident to Brock, so that Brock who as the closest friend of Vincent was aware of his current situation.

"Brock, Vincent ...." Danny reported this in a limp voice and still could not believe what was happening, it was hard for him to tell Vincent this kind of situation to Brock, and could not imagine what his reaction would be when he heard this.

"Zzzzz."

Brock had fallen asleep after eating the big loaf of bread, and could not be awakened at all by the use of sound alone, not even a loud sound.

"Oh." In the end, Danny did not tell Brock about Vincent's condition because he did not want to disturb his friend's sleep.

Danny finally returns to see how Patricia's efforts to recover his friend's wounds, and as usual, a green aura has been seen from him which means healing is at work.

Mr. Housen also took a look at how Vincent's current condition is, he also did not understand why it could be that someone who had asked him for permission to stay for a moment in this area was suddenly found with this condition.
