The Marrying Bet

Viceroy entered the house at ten in the night. He was surprised to see Vara sitting waiting for him at the dinner table. Vara smiled cheerfully welcoming him. Viceroy looks trying to pull a smile. He didn't want Vara to worry about him. 

"Viceroy, have you eaten?" ask Vara.

"Already," replied Viceroy while nodding.

"I've prepared bath water for you" said Vara.

"Thank you," said Viceroy staring softly at Vara.

Vara follows Viceroy who heads to their room on the second floor. Viceroy immediately took off his clothes and entered the bathroom to soak. Without being told, Vara immediately swept the shampoo over Viceroy's hair and rubbed the man's back.

"You must be tired" said Vara.

"No," replied Viceroy briefly.

"Viceroy, is that woman beautiful?" ask Vara.

Viceroy was silent.

"Vara, can you give me some time alone?" ask Viceroy.

Vara nodded, he immediately came out of the bathroom, leaving Viceroy pondering to himself. Vara immediately headed to the kitchen, and made a glass of warm protein milk that Viceroy used to drink before going to bed.

"Roy, this is Sofia, the son of Pak Haji Bahra," Virda introduces Viceroy to the brown-skinned bongsor girl.

Viceroy looked at Sofia who seemed stunned by Viceroy's good looks. Viceroy put on a flat face.

"Sofia has just graduated S1 from JKS University majoring in psychology" Virda continued.

Sofia seems shy, with her mother and father who seem so proud because her son is betrothed to Virda's youngest child.

"This is Roy, his son, Brother Virda, is very handsome," said Bu Haji Bahra.

"Roy is a struggle" said Virda.

"Especially the effort is very good," said Pak Haji Bahra. 

"It could be this big dowry money for Sofia, yes, Brother Virda," said Bu Haji Bahra.

"Mother, Roy," called Ryo who approached the table where his family had gathered.

Viceroy looked at Ryo who was directly sitting on the chair beside him. Apparently this is really a family event, so Virda does not allow Vara to come. Viceroy wants to bring Vara and introduce Vara to his future wife to compare Vara with his honeymooners. Obviously in just one look, Vara is much more interesting.

Sofia is also stunned at Ryo, a beautiful adult man, with neatly cut hair that shows his smooth forehead. The guy with the face was friendlier than Roy. His brilliant smile was always reviewed, in contrast to Roy who looked stiff and cold.

"Ryo, this is Sofia, Roy's nominee, what do you think?" ask Ryo.

"Beautiful," replied Ryo smiling obliquely.

Viceroy wanted to laugh out loud, when compared to Vara, it was the same as comparing a pearl to a boba. Viceroy just laughed in his heart.

It seems like Ryo just licked his mother by saying that Sofia was beautiful, but it was a lie.

The dinner session with the Bahra family was over, the family resigned. Viceroy still remained cold, he only busied himself by eating the dishes available at the table.

"What's hungry for?" ask Ryo.

"I have to eat a lot, face the fact it's hard," replied Viceroy coldly.

Ryo laughed, but then stunned, he seemed to have heard these words. I don't know where, he forgot.

"Mom, I'll take it first" Viceroy said as soon as he finished eating.

"Roy, there's still something we need to talk about" Virda said.

"What does Mom mean?" ask Viceroy.

"Roy, marry Sofia, then divorce your wife" Virda replied.

Ryo smiled triumphantly, while his sister looked stiff.

"Mother! Didn't Mom make conditions for my wife to be combined?! Why did you tell me to divorce my wife?!" ask Viceroy.

"Sir Haji Bahra objected if his son was made a second wife" Virda said.

"Here you go, Roy, Sofia's a beautiful and nice girl, so different from your wife who's not a good woman!" sahut Ryo's.

"Go get your divorce done, Roy, right away" said Virda.

Viceroy did not reply, he hurried away leaving his mother and brother.

"No, ma'am, isn't it, how much Roy's been crazy about a bad widow?! He even opposed Mother's decision, you bastard son! Does he want to be cursed to be a stone?!" cibir Ryo's.

Viceroy was upset, he came home feeling chaotic. Upon arriving home, received a warm welcome from Vara, immediately made his anger red.
