Viceroy immediately drove the car to his mother's house. Vara could feel the unpleasant feeling that was now raging violently inside her chest. Does the Queen Mother already know that Vara is reluctant to be combined?
Viceroy heaved a heavy sigh, I don't know what else his mother wanted. What other strange complaints did Sofia make to her mother?
The two of them remained silent during the journey to the mansion. They are immersed in their own thoughts. Although at this time Vara felt an unpleasant feeling that was enveloping him.
...*****...
The luxury house looks quiet as usual when Vara visits the house whose interior is themed Middle Eastern kingdom. Gold coins became mandatory in the house.
The Queen Mother welcomed their arrival with a cold gaze, towards the married couple who still did not get their blessing from her. His eyes catch the figure of his son's wife who looks subdued the view.
Vara felt long enough not to meet the Queen Mother. After the woman's request that Vara be ready to be combined, there is no strange country task that must be undertaken Vara.
The middle-aged woman still remained in a glamorous and luxurious style. Wearing a magnificent dress in electric blue studded with pearl beads.
"Roy, I want to talk to your wife alone" Virda said.
Viceroy sighed heavily, he looked at Vara who gave him a nod of agreeing marks. Viceroy immediately left them. Viceroy chose to wait on the front porch. I don't know what his mother and Vara will talk about.
...*****...
Virda takes Vara to the dining room. The middle-aged woman sat down at the dining table, sipping tea slowly in her cup.
"You must be wondering why I called you" Virda said.
Vara just kept quiet while nodding slowly.
"Did Roy tell you?" ask Virda.
"About what, Madam?" ask Vara.
"It looks like he hasn't told you, yes," Virda said.
Vara watched Virda who seemed to review her smile.
"I've prepared a future wife for Roy" Virda said.
"Yes, I know," replied Vara.
"Yes, you accept when combined! It's just that Roy's future wife objected if it had to be combined," said Virda.
Vara felt her head suddenly empty.
"Stay well!" virda said as he placed his teacup on top of the golden-gilded cup coasters.
Vara felt that there was lightning striking inside her head. Viceroy said nothing at all about the farewell requested by the Queen Mother.
"You can ask for any amount of money as compensation" Virda said.
"I'll give you the house, the car, the fancy jewelry you want" Virda continued.
"Madam" said Vara.
But he has to tell it.
"If Madam was in my position, what would Madam ask for?" ask Vara.
Virda was flabbergasted to hear Vara's words. Virda can see the look in Vara's eyes seem to intimidate him.
"Our talk is over here, thanks for being Roy's wife! In the future, when you meet me or Roy, pretend you don't know each other!" said Virda.
Vara was flabbergasted again hearing the words of the Queen Mother.
"One more thing, the gift you gave just take it back, me and my son don't need your generosity!" virda said before leaving.
Vara felt her mind empty. He just silently nodded. Instantly Vara felt her eyes heat up. His heart was completely ached and torn apart as he left the dining room. Vara took her breath, trying so that no tears would fall.
...*****...
"Vara" Viceroy said to Vara as soon as he saw his mother leaving the house because the driver was waiting for him.
"Viceroy, let's go home," Vara asked.
All the way home, Vara was silent. Throw his eyes out the window. Once home, Vara and Viceroy took out all their groceries. Viceroy wondered what Vara and her mother were talking about. Did her mother give Vara a state assignment again?
"Viceroy, I'll take a shower first" Vara said.
"Go get ready for dinner" Viceroy said.
Viceroy immediately cooked their dinner, with an uneasy feeling. He was really worried about Vara. I don't know what his mother's talk really made Vara look hit. Viceroy really has to give Vara time to be alone and think well.
Vara was done bathing and getting dressed, she immediately headed to the kitchen. Viceroy had already prepared the dishes that became the dinner of the two of them. Vara immediately sat down at the dining table.
"How, yummy?" viceroy asked as Vara tasted his cooking.
"It's just so, man" replied Vara with a seemingly forced smile.
"Spend," said Viceroy.
They enjoyed dinner quietly. Viceroy could clearly see the sadness from the glare of Vara's eyes which clearly seemed to be trying to hide the woman.
Viceroy immediately washed the dishes as soon as they finished dinner.
"Viceroy, why didn't you say what you were supposed to say?" ask Vara.
"meaning?" ask Viceroy.
"Why didn't you tell me that your mother asked you to divorce me?" ask Vara.
The plate that Viceroy was holding slid onto the floor and shattered. Viceroy stared at the tears flowing down Vara's cheeks.
"Did my mom ask you to get a divorce?" ask Viceroy.
Vara could only cry. Viceroy hugged Vara.
"Do you agree with my mother's request?" ask Viceroy.
Vara just kept quiet and started crying as she pleased.
Viceroy tightly hugged the crying Vara in his arms.
"Vara, please don't cry" Viceroy said.
"Viceree! Why didn't you tell me? Why are you hiding it?" Vara pushed Viceroy's body away from him.
"Vara!" viceroy said trying to calm Vara down.
"Viceroy, you didn't tell me that the end of our marriage was a divorce! If only you had told me from the beginning, I would not have felt this much pain" Vara said with tears returning.
"Viceroy, why didn't you marry the woman your mother chose from the beginning? Why did you marry me?!" Vara was still crying.
Viceroy let Vara who was still crying, vent his anger and disappointment. Vara felt so stupid because they were carried away by their marriage which was clearly only an agreement to cooperate in the form of marriage without living a married life. But as time went on, he fell in love with this man.
Viceroy took Vara into his arms, he gently rubbed Vara's head.
"Vara, please stop crying, and please listen to my explanation first" Viceroy said.
Vara tried to calm herself down. It's really hard for him. He even just felt the beauty of loving each other with a man who was so loved and wanted. Even so with Viceroy who feels how happy he loves and is loved by women who accept it as it is.
"My mom asked me to divorce you, but do you think I would divorce you? I'm not that stupid as Vara" Viceroy said.
"Vara, I really want to marry the woman I chose myself! I've been betrothed which leads to rejection!" viceroy said towards Vara.
"If you ask me why I married you, the answer is simple! I married you because you wanted to marry me! If you didn't want to marry me then, I would have been looking for another woman who would marry me" Viceroy smiled gently at Vara.
Vara's tears were wiped away with her long, sturdy fingers. Vara looked at Viceroy fixedly.
"Viceroy, do you know, if we split up, I'll really be alone, I have no one here but you!" said Vara.
"Yes, I know that! So please believe me! My mother can plan, but I'm the one who wills!" Viceroy tried to convince Vara.
"I love you, Vara! Really," said Viceroy again hugging Vara.
Unimagined by Viceroy, he will be separated from Vara. In a dream he would never do it. For him Vara was very special. The woman was present to heal the wounds in her heart because her desire to propose Regina was rejected outright, saving her as she narrowly lost her hard-earned residence, serving her well and wholeheartedly. Vara was perfect for Viceroy. It was as if fate had outlined them to meet at the right time.
...*****...
Viceroy opened his eyes when he heard his phone vibrate on the nightstand. Slowly he grabbed the phone so as not to wake Vara who was still asleep in his arms. He forgot to turn off his personal phone. Two other phones he always turns off before going to bed, so he is not disturbed by work affairs.
Her brother's name appeared on the screen. Viceroy touched the red mark, a sign he was unwilling to answer.
...Have your gatekeeper open the door....
Viceroy read the message his brother sent. Viceroy let out a heavy sigh, he really did not understand why Ryo, his older brother, had come this early.
