The Marrying Bet

The Marrying Bet
Virda Worry

"Please prepare some tea" Virda ordered.

Vara smiled, "May I borrow your kitchen, Madam?" ask Vara.

"Please," Virda replied in a cold tone.

Virda was really upset, because the woman chosen by her youngest child was indeed not a careless woman. Despite the unpleasant issue that says that this woman is so devious, in fact this woman is even so obedient and obedient.

Viceroy tries to cover up his shock because Vara used the term 'Mistress' on her mother. Viceroy just silently observed, rather than showing an attitude of protest that would actually harm them both.

"Roy, are you really seriously married to that woman?" ask Virda.

"Mother, we're really married" replied Viceroy.

"There are so many cousins who are willing to marry you, Roy" Virda said.

"Do you want me to look like a pedophile who marries underage girls?" viceroy asked sharply.

"Roy, your wife even looks so young" Virda said.

"My wife and I are my age, ma'am," Viceroy said.

Virda was silent.

"Mother, please bless us," Viceroy asked.

Virda remained silent.

...*****...

Vara carries a tray of supplies to make tea as she first served tea to Virda. Vara also prepared a traditional cake that became the answer to the test Virda gave. The snack is wrapped in banana leaves in two different containers.

"Do you know the name of this cake?" ask Virda.

"Barongko is made of banana, while Babongko is made of rice flour" Vara replied.

Virda is impressed again with Vara's intelligence. Really, the wife of his youngest son really impressed him. Virda himself is very familiar with traditional pastries because he used to be a cake trader to support his children after the sudden departure of his husband.

Virda feels hard to make a decision regarding the future of his family. Two opinions of two thoughts for a woman really make Virda worried. Who should he believe? What does his eldest son think or his youngest son?

Viceroy's marriage was indeed sudden because of a silly gamble with Ryo. What is the reason someone is willing to get married suddenly if not for money?

But according to Viceroy, he did not even spend a penny to marry his wife. If Roy's wife was pregnant first, her stomach should have grown.

...*****...

Virda watches over his youngest wife and is busy cooking dinner in the kitchen. Virda still gives her a test for cooking. Viceroy seems to be helping his wife in the kitchen. Their interactions really look like a couple that is so happy and compact.

Reminds her of her late husband who loved her so much. They were a couple who started their lives from scratch, without even bagging the blessing of the Vicram family. When Vicram began to succeed, all of her husband's family came in droves, hitching a ride with her small family.

Beautiful and younger women claimed to come sent by her husband's family. They even offered to be her husband's wives. Moreover, Virda's husband has a handsome face, exactly Ryo. So many women were beating up on her husband. Willing to be a wife to so, do not even need to be married also willing, origin endowed.

Virda really still remembered the incident clearly. Virda cries as Vicram hugs Virda who is drooping weakly on the floor when her husband is asked to remarry.

"Mother, I'm not getting married again" Vicram said as the Vicram family told him to remarry his parents' chosen women.

Vicram's parents wanted Vicram to marry the women of their choice, to match Virda. Moreover, according to her husband's family, Vicram must be polygamous to lift the life of beautiful women from his family who are less fortunate.

"Mom, do you know, men are tested when they have everything, and the test for women is when men have nothing" Vicram said. "We've both been through it all together, so I know, only Mom deserves Dad."
