Viceroy felt so lazy to open his eyes, yet he heard Vara's voice calling out to him from the direction of the bathroom. Viceroy staggered as he rolled over to the other side of the mattress, which Vara occupied. He felt something wet on the side of Vara's bed. He was surprised to see bloodstains on white sheets, forming a map of the Australian continent.
"Vara!! Why is there blood?!" exclamatory Viceroy. "You're hurt?! Are you trying to kill yourself?!" chiceroy again.
Vara came out of the bathroom with a flushed face holding in shame.
"Viceroy, I'm fine, I didn't try to kill myself" Vara said.
"Why are there blood stains on the mattress?!" viceroy said in panic.
Vara grimacing.
"Viceroy, I totally forgot, my monthly guest came sooner than usual, can you help me buy that thing? I can't go anywhere" said Vara.
Viceroy gawking.
"That stuff?" asked Viceroy in astonishment.
"Slayers, please yes, I cannot leave bloodstains at my every step" said Vara.
"I take a shower first" Viceroy said.
"If you could right now, you wouldn't want to see a pool of blood!" said Vara again.
Viceroy immediately headed to the nearest minimarket which was behind the hotel where they were staying. It was ridiculous, Viceroy who didn't even wash his face had to go buy a bandage in the morning. As soon as he entered the minimarket, he looked for pads that fit the picture Vara sent.
"Mas," called Viceroy to the young man who worked at the minimarket. "That's like this, but there's wings, is there?" viceroy asked while taking a pack of pads off the shelf.
"If it's not on the shelf, it means there's no Mas" the young man replied.
Viceroy frowned. He called Vara immediately.
"The winged ones have another brand! Wanna?".
"I prefer the one with wings" replied Vara. "I can't use another brand" continued Vara.
"Well, you'll make your own wings!" suhut Viceroy hung up.
A middle-aged man who was also looking for a sanitary pad heard Viceroy talk.
"Don't tell me to look for what doesn't exist" Viceroy grumbled.
"Mas, want to know, how not to be told to buy another pad?!" said the father.
"A lot of stock" said Viceroy.
"Make a lot of kids!" the father laughed as he passed.
Viceroy harrumphed, he immediately headed to the cashier to pay for a rack of pads he had vacated.
Vara rolled her eyes as Viceroy returned to the hotel room with so many pads.
"So you don't have to tell me anymore" Viceroy said.
"Jeez Viceroy, how am I supposed to carry this much bandage? While we live nomadically," Vara massaged his forehead.
"Well, I'll send it to my home address, just like your other belongings" the Viceroy replied.
Viceroy's phone rang, he was shocked that his mother called so early.
"Roy, take your wife home now!" his mother said, then hung up.
"Vara, please meet my mother, yes" Viceroy said.
"When?" ask Vara.
"Now" replied Viceroy.
Vara could only smile wryly, this was so sudden. Ready not to be ready, Vara still has to meet Viceroy's mother.
In the woman's hands, Vara's fate is determined. If Vara does not pass the certification test, her marriage to Viceroy must be annulled and Vara could be forced back home by her parents.
Vara immediately wore a soft pink dress with medium length and a long black cardigan. He untied his long black hair and wore a thin pearl bando. Viceroy tried not to look stunned to see Vara so sweet, he refrained from acting out of his control. He does not want to look like a cheap man who is easily tempted. It was enough that he acted shamefully by kissing Vara's leg because he was tempted just because he saw Vara's foot that made him tempted. The turn he teased Vara, the woman was not tempted.
Vara is so tense when the motorcycle driven Viceroy stopped in the courtyard of a luxury house in the most elite residential area in the city. Vara only knew that Viceroy's brother worked very hard, deserved to have a house as luxurious as this. However, Vara was not too surprised, because it was natural that people who worked so hard had such a luxurious house. Viceroy's brother must be a sembako master.
Vara was pounding, what did Viceroy's mother look like?
In Vara's mind, the middle-aged woman wears a negligee with a sarong, while chewing betel and betel nut. Moreover, according to Viceroy, his mother was very loud and conservative. Never say no, never answer if your mother is angry, and look her in the eye when you speak.
Bi Jiah, the housemaid, opened the door for the two.
"Bi Jiah, where's Mom?" ask Viceroy.
"Nyonyah is still yoga, Mas Roy," replied Bi Jiah.
"Bi Jiah, this is my wife, Vara. Tell Mom I still have business, I'll come back later" Viceroy told the middle-aged woman.
"Yes, Mas Roy" Bi Jiah said.
Viceroy immediately rushed away, he called the driver to pick up the items he had left at the hotel to take to his brother's house.
"Please keep his things in the car" Viceroy ordered.
He immediately headed to the garage to pick up his car, apparently his brother was not at home because his brother's car was not in the garage.
Viceroy immediately drove his car to the golf course, this morning he had an appointment to play golf with his client while talking about business.
He felt something bad when he left Vara. But he was sure, Vara would be fine.
