The Marrying Bet

Final Round

Badminton building is already crowded with spectators who are ready to enliven and support the participants of the final round of the annual internal badminton tournament Victory Group. Every year, this badminton tournament is specifically for doubles matches, namely men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. Every year, Mr. Ryo will take to the field to become a WO male doubles team contestant. This year, Mr. Ryo became a mixed doubles contestant. Whoever becomes Pak Ryo's partner, definitely gets a special uniform. 

Vara was really depressed, because everyone was talking about how compact the uniform was worn by Mr. Ryo and Vara. They look like a couple wearing twins.

"You take it easy, later I will protect you," Mr. Ryo told Vara.

Vara knows, basically Pak Ryo is a single player, so Vara's position on the field is only as a complement to be called a double. The victory was easily achieved by him in just two sets of games. 

The match was resumed with a men's doubles game that invited admiration of the audience who cheered the tempest.

Vara who sat on the sidelines with the audience seemed to feel bad, because during his match with Pak Ryo, the atmosphere was not too enthusiastic like the current match.

"Vara, you're really good, won without fighting" said Imel who approached Vara.

"Can this be called sportsmanship?" connect Dinda.

"Okay, guys, this is all Mr. Ryo wants," Mbak Rani immediately defended Vara.

"True, Ma'am, I follow what Mr. Ryo said, just" said Vara.

"Well, Vara, are you really obedient or because you're after a permanent employee position?! Looks like licking Mr. Ryo," Dinda chuckled.

Vara seems tense, Dinda and Imel seem to smile cynically because they feel that Vara is really sneaky because it has won without fighting.

"Already, Vara, it is so if the netizens are julid," said Mbak Rani encouraged Vara.

Because Mbak Rani knows the decision is in the hands of Mr. Ryo, while Vara only follows orders.

Applause filled the building during the medal distribution as symbolic for the winners. One by one the winners got medals that were given directly by Mr. Ryo, immediately got the applause of the audience.

"Sir Ryo doesn't wear a medal?" ask Imel.

"I can do it, sir?" ask Dinda.

Mr. Ryo simply replied with a smile. Vara really does feel bad. Rather than being the victim of the scathing insinuations of Imel and Dinda, he hurried to say goodbye to go home first.

Vara immediately exited the sports hall, while looking for an online taxi. Vara was waiting at the exit of the building.

"Bu Vara, I will take you," said Mr. Ryo who suddenly appeared beside Vara.

"Sir Ryo!" Vara gasps.

Ryo takes Vara to a fancy restaurant located in one of the five-star hotels on the beach. Restaurant with an open concept, facing directly towards the sea. Vara was really wondering, why did Pak Ryo always bring Vara to exclusive and luxurious places? 

"Bu Vara, please order whatever you want," said Mr. Ryo as soon as the waiter handed them the menu book.

"Don't tell me you only order mineral water," continued Mr. Ryo.

"I don't want to, sir, when you ask for a refund to the company it will be a question, for what activities!" said Vara.

Mr. Ryo laughed.

"Bu Vara, I am unlikely to ask for a refund for my personal activities" Mr. Ryo said.

"Why are you taking me to a fancy place like this?" ask Vara.

"Of course, to celebrate the victory" replied Mr. Ryo.

"Pak Ryo, in my opinion, I feel this victory is unfair to me! I didn't even fight from the beginning, then suddenly winning, it felt really unfair" Vara said.

Mr. Ryo smiled.

"Bu Vara, the issue of justice, it depends on the point of view" said Mr. Ryo. "According to my point of view, you are entitled to participate in the preliminary round, but the work makes you unable to attend! You have the ability that I have to appreciate, I can even lose to you because honestly, at first I underestimated you," he continued.

"Don't think too much about the assumptions of others, they just envy your achievements," said Mr. Ryo again.

Vara laughed, currently Mr. Ryo looks like a famous motivator who is motivating in public.

Mr. Ryo called the waiter and started ordering food. Vara hears the singer performing popular songs to entertain diners.

"Is there a song order you want to hear?" ask the waiter to be friendly.

"There," answered Vara. 

Ryo smiled, the woman before him was seen writing something down on the scrap paper.

Ryo was impressed, this woman was really not a picky person. Of the many foods, this woman just ordered fried rice. The kind of woman who is submissive and not demanding. It is very different from Ryo's lover who is so dissident and demanding. Ryo and his lover's relationship has even been at a saturation point, making Ryo think to immediately end the relationship. The presence of Vara really gives a fresh breeze to Ryo, the vibrations that make Ryo feel he does need a new love.

Ryo was stunned when he heard the song performed by the beautiful vocalist. Vara seemed enthusiastic to hear the song.

"La vie en rose," Vara followed the singer.

"This is your song, ma'am?" ask Ryo.

"Right, sir" Vara replied with a carefree smile.

Vara fell in love right from the moment she first heard the song. Especially considering when they dance with such a flowery feeling.

Ryo smiled, hearing the song made him remember his father's favorite song when he was alive.
