The Gray Autumn's

The Gray Autumn's
The Verge of Failure

Aamber was silent at Benjamin's words. The middle-aged woman slightly lowered her head and looked lethargic. "Is there anything else you want to say, Ben?" ask the woman slowly.

"That's it. You can go," said Benjamin, turning to his desk. He then opened the laptop and did not check what was there, because at that time he looked very serious. While Aamber chose to immediately get out of the workspace.

Elsewhere, at one of Guadalajara's city hospitals. A young man stood looking at the middle-aged man in a lying position with various medical devices on his body. Leonardo Orville, aka Leon. Meanwhile, the man who was lying was the father who was undergoing intensive care due to a chronic disease. A moment later, a woman came in and stood next to him. That woman is the mother, Raquela. "I don't think you're coming" said the blonde.

"I want to see father, but I can't stay here either" Leon turned to his mother. "I've got a new job in France. Once my finances are sufficient, then I will immediately move my father there. We can meet again in Paris. At least, there is an aunt who will also help," the young man said with a glimmer of hope in his eyes.

"Yes. I will sell our house in this city and return to Paris" Raquela replied. He turned his attention to the husband who was lying helpless. "I was really sad to see your father's condition, but the doctor said that there would always be hope for every living human being. May your father survive much longer" he hoped.

"We will do our best. You don't have to worry, Mom. I'll do anything to get you back to health" Leon said confidently, clutching his mother's arm.

......................

Several days had passed since the dispute between Benjamin and Fleur. Either way, Aamber can tell Benjamin that the boy has agreed to his father's marriage plans with Autumn. That afternoon, Benjamin came to the hotel. The plan is to have her wedding there. The dream to hold a party outdoor can not be realized Autumn. An indoor party is the perfect solution in the fall that is sweeping the city of Paris. Edgar and Arumi were also present. They were so amazed by the extravagant decorations of the wedding organizer that Benjamin had suggested. While Fleur who was also there, only fell silent with a face that was not radiant at all.

"Mr Hillaire, this is my daughter Fleurine. Ten years old," Benjamin introduced the princess to Edgar.

Immediately, the charismatic middle-aged man lowered his body before Fleur. "Hi, Fleur. How are you?" greet Edgar friendly. Arumi immediately approached them and looked happy to be able to meet directly with the daughter of his future daughter-in-law.

"My news has never been good, ever since I had to use a wheelchair," Fleur replied coldly and somewhat curtly, making Edgar frown.

"Hey, why did you have to sit in a wheelchair, honey?" arumi asked warmly and familiarly.

Fleur turned his gaze to the forty-two-year-old woman. The little girl's eyes still looked cold and unfriendly. "It was Elle's ex that made me fall down the stairs. That's why I had to stop dancing ballet, too" Fleur replied, giving Arumi and Edgar a look at each other.

While Autumn and Benjamin felt bad about the attitude and words of the copper-haired little girl. Autumn beckoned the lover to warn her daughter. "Fleur, please," asked Benjamin quietly while holding the child's shoulder.

"It's okay, Dad. It was just an accident, "Autumn immediately turned the man's attention away from Benjamin. "Now Fleur will definitely recover and be able to return to activities without using a wheelchair," said the girl again trying to hide the discomfort in her heart.

"It's easy for you to say that, Elle! In fact all my dreams are ruined because of your ex-boyfriend! I'm not allowed to dance ballet anymore either until when, or maybe forever!" fleur's tone sounded so sharp and rude to Autumn. "If my father had not known you, I would not have ...."

"Fleur!" sergeant Benjamin was firm, making Arumi flinch. He looked at Autumn with a look full of question marks. "Stop! We've solved this problem" Benjamin said.

Seeing the attitude and words Fleur showed towards Autumn, at least made Edgar able to understand something. He was not a fool who could not grasp the meaning of the disrespectful attitude of his future daughter-in-law. Edgar squinted his eyes as he watched the little girl who was seen putting on a sour face towards everyone. "What does all this mean, Mr Royce? Can't your daughter accept my daughter to be a mother?"

"We've resolved all misunderstandings. Fleur agreed, "Jenjamin replied.

"Your daughter agrees, but look at her attitude towards Elle! I don't know in what way you forced her to accept this marriage," sternly and visibly angry. Edgar couldn't take Fleur's disrespect.

"Dad, come on" asked Autumn. Arumi also tries to calm her husband. He touched Edgar's arm gently.

"I never agreed to my papa's marriage!" Fleur spoke again loudly, and increasingly convinced Edgar of his thoughts earlier.

"You hear that, Benjamin Royce? Your own daughter said it. He didn't expect Elle to be with you, so I won't let you take my daughter. I don't care about our contract. Please if you want to sue me!" finished saying so, Edgar immediately grabbed Arumi's hand and took him away without saying goodbye first. However, after a few steps Edgar was stunned and turned his head. "I hope you'll be home soon, Elle!" he said, then continued his steps immediately. He left the luxurious ballroom while carrying the anger within him. However, at least Edgar found a reason to be able to oppose the marriage of Autumn and Benjamin which he never wanted.

"You're too much, Fleur! At least today in front of my parents, you can be nice. I don't know what the problem is if Ben has a wife. You love and want to be cared for by your father, but you can't love and let him be happy. Think that. If you think of me as a spoiled girl who can't do anything, then you're just as powerful as me! You're even very selfish and ...."

"Stop, Elle!" sergeant Benjamin made Autumn instantly speechless. "Please, don't show this kind of attitude in front of my daughter" Benjamin said sternly.

"I'm sorry, Ben. It seems like I have to learn to be more self-controlled, but Fleur's attitude is outrageous. Did you see how my father was? That would be a strong reason for him, which indeed from the beginning did not really approve of our wedding plans. After this, I don't know what kind of defense I have against her. My mother wasn't necessarily willing to help either, seeing Fleur's attitude."
